[Q] Replaced LCD flashing Red Light.. Comments? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Everyone,
I have managed to destroy two Atrix's. The LCD was broken on the first then wifi/bluetooth just failed on the 2nd. While changing the LCD's I managed to crack the good one putting the phone back together.
I ordered a replacement from RepairsUniverse ($87.98CA) and it took two weeks to show up. I put the phone back together yesterday and I'm getting a flashing Green light. At first I thought the battery was completely drained so I left it for about an hour to charge. I would than get a flashing red light with a white flash in the middle than more red flashing. I'm sure it's telling me something here.
I did have the new LCD show an image but it was so dark that you could only see it if you reflected the light off the screen a certain way.
I have put the original LCD in and it will boot and show a picture (cracked obviously) so I don't know what the issue is with the new LCD. The part numbers on the cable are identical so I know it's the right piece.
What now? RMA or is there something else to try? Kind of pissed about it. I've been using a BB Curve 8530 and it's the biggest P.O.S. Can't stand BB since I made the switch to android

[Q] Help Please With My Screen :( i9100

Hi,
I dropped my Galaxy S2 Yesterday (have no idea if this relates to it) But i plugged it into the charger this morning and everything was blue & some of the screen had turned black and some icons had burnt into the screen it looked like.
After taking it with me because it was still usable, Its not completely black except for maybe the faintest part of blue.
Im running Lite'ning rom, The newest one im pretty sure.
Just wondering if this is a virus? Or the screen is dead. I just cant see how it could suddenly die when it was flat and not turned on.
Phones not under warranty by the way. So maybe you could give me some options?
Thanks heaps guys
Probably the problem is hardware related due to the fall, but you could back all your data and try to do a factory reset to see if it fixes or not. If it doesn't fix maybe you should check your screen hardware.
Thanks for the reply,
I just reflashed Litening with Odin 1.85 and still nothing, I get the vibrations, touch lights, sound ect, But only occasionally a tiny little strip of blue along the top.
How would i check my screen hardware? Because i pulled apart my galaxy s after it died and accidently cracked the screen & Glass
How would i do a factory reset by the way? Since i cant see anything
I'd imagine it's dead. I'd take it to your local store and ask for an estimate on how much it would cost to fix it. If you can't see anything, then the screen is either broken or it got disconnected (or maybe some of the ribbons did at least).
Yeah, I just dont really wanna take the phone apart unless i know its likley to fix it.
When i first got it, I noticed it had black splotches on the screen in very dim light on a white background. Nd im guessing id have to almost buy a whole front screen assembly to replace the front screen D:.
Would i be better just to sell the phone how it is? Or repair it?

[Q] Help! broke scree

So dropped phone and screen went out. Replaced amoled and digitizer, device powered on and lit up home keys, but no display still. Replaced main board, in case video was out on board, but no joy. Any thoughts? No custom software or anything....
Maybe you didn't clip on the ribbon cables all the way. Or, just try pulling the battery and booting it again.
When I replace my screen, screen didn't work for first few boots.

Click to collapse
I checked and checked, digitizer works, I can reboot and swipe unlock, adjust volume, but no screen. At this point I'm thinking bad LCD. Thoughts?
Thx for response and ideas though....
I bought a replacement but ut was a cheap fake, not an OEM screen. It went purple then black within 10 minutes. I got my money back (thank you PayPal) and made sure the next one was an OEM screen.
I hope you didn't spend too much on the repair parts. You can pick up a new Note for about $290 now.

Changed digitizer, LCD doesn't work

Hey guys,
I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask, I am desperate and I need your help.
My navigation buttons started to push itself, so I disassembled my phone (gently of course)
I found out that the digitizer flat cable is torn like.. 3/4 of its width so that was probably the problem.
I ordered a new digitizer and it arrived yesterday, so I put everything together, started the phone and the LCD doesn't work.
When I start the phone it vibrates as usually, then the LCD screen turns on for couple of milliseconds so I can just barely see the HTC logo and then it turns black, the navigation buttons are lit and I've heard notifications after I let it run for 30 seconds.
What could be the problem? I checked multiple times if all the flat cables are plugged in correctly. It's weird that the LCD runs for couple of ms and then it turns black.
Thanks a lot for your answer,
Adam K.
How bright does the LCD get? It is possible the lighting element went bad.
It gets bright as usually, but just for half a second, then there's just black screen.

HTC Evo 3D wont turn on, but, getting charged

Hi there - I am wondering if I can get some help here.
I had an old working HTC Evo 3D and I use it as a spare phone during travel to use prepaid SIM cards. I wanted to change the complete housing of Evo 3d and purchased a front, middle & back frame from online OEM vendors. As a newbie, I was so excited and started to disassemble the phone and to put into the new housing. All went well till I started to take the LCD and digitizer from the old housing. I made a mistake and ripped the flex cable of the digitizer. I felt very bad and then I decided that I need to order a new digitizer online.
I continued to reassemble the phone with the new housing till I receive my new digitizer. I made sure that I kept the sticky tape in the front housing intact so its easy to take it again. I completed the assembling and when I turned on the phone the LCD was displaying white and black dots like grains. However, I could hear the HTC boot sound the “Quietly Brilliant” sound. At this point, I thought I have damaged the LCD too.
Today, I tired to switch again, I dont see the phone booting-up or hear the boot-up sound or see the white and black grain screen. When I charge the phone, I see the red LED light and then after some time it turns green. I tried all type of resets like power+volume buttons, power+camera button, long press power button. However, I dont think anything is happening.
Now, I am worried if the problem is now with the display or I damaged the motherboard. Does anyone know if the phone wont start if there is a damage to the LCD/digitzer? I am just waiting to know what might be the problem before ordering LCD/digitizer. I am unable to check which part is damaged now.
Thanks in advance!

Screen issues after replacement

Hi at all,
my uncle's Mi A3 had cracked screen, so he told me to replace it with a brand new. I replaced it the first time, and after some time the screen became useless because of bad lines (green, blue, yellow) all over the screen that didn't let you do anything. So I gave back the replacement screen to the seller that sent me another one of it. Tested it, mounted it and now after a week the same problem. Now the phone has been shutted down because of low charge, this morning i tried to charge it and now it works well as usual. What the f*** is happening? bad screen replacements? Did I do something wrong each time I replaced it?
Thanks a lot to all who answer.
seller has good display??
checkup ur mainboard too.
