Good Evening,
Just a quick question, I have purchased a Xperia mini pro on the O2 network but need to unlock to use with Tmobile.
After looking round the web most of the code sites appear to be scams.
I have read that O2 can unlock for a price but will take a couple of weeks.
Does anyone know any sites that will unlock quicker and that are safe or is it best to do it with O2 and wait?
Thank you for your advice.

You can unlock Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini pro using the codes.
This is the safe and easy way of unlocking compare to others. Network provider offer this unlocking service. But they take time to unlock your mobile. You can unlock your mobile instantly using the online providers like http://www.unlocking4u.com/sony-ericsson-unlocking-service-1/rs6wp10/ which offer the service for your mobile at cheap price. They will unlock your mobile within few hours..With the help of this you can unlock your mobile easily.

hi xda developers!
my uncle sent me an xperia x10 which is originally orange locked so i want to unlock it to use here in philippines. i tried to bring it to the technicians and they're charging me lot of cost and i don't even have a visa card or credit card to buy unlock codes or software online...so can you guys please help me to sort this problem out? please
You can't unlock the phone. There is a software mod to unlock but not sure if you can find it. You will have to buy the code/unlock . I don't see anything else
Damn there was a site for this that was free! Only I forgot it... I will try to search for it for you!
thanks so much! will greatly appreciate your help to sort this out...thanks!
i just noticed, where did my other comment go? is there something wrong with my post?
Do you mean sim locked?

maybe u`re thinking about http://www.omnius-server.com/, but they can`t unlock x10, only 90% of se models can be unlocked for free by that site

is there any other way i can unlock my x10 for free?
Yeah, I think Omnius *used* to have an option to unlock the X10 for free during a promotional period about a year ago for a couple weeks. I'm not sure if they could have done any of the Orange branded X10s.
Unfortunately, Orange is one of the most difficult (and costly) phones to unlock. The absolutely cheapest way for you to unlock it is to call Orange and see if they'll be kind enough to unlock it (I think Orange UK charges 20-25 Pounds or so, unsure of Orange France).
Only other option is to go with one of the remote unlockers. There are a couple companies that can send you a code with your IMEI but expect to wait around 25 days to save a few (and i do mean, few) dollars.

no but service provider (orange) will unlock it for free after 6 months of contract.
hey
i just started browsing around for you and whenever i got a carrier locked phone i always used IMEI unlock codes
try this http://www.cellunlocker.net/blog/2010/06/how-to-unlock-sony-ericsson-xperia-x10/
thanks for all your response, actually orange uk is charging 20 pounds to unlock it but unfortunately my uncle wasn't able to organize it as it was already sent to me via dhl. i don't know if they will still allow it to be unlocked as it's already here in philippines. I've been trying to browse around the unlockers to get a code or software to unlock it but as what i've seen there are lots of issues like:
on htccode what i saw just now is their system is seem down as per some client's recent posts who are wanting to get their money back.
and some other unlockers offer the code but will have to wait for 5-10 days. i know this is absurd but i have an itchy hand now so i really want to unlock it really quick and use it right away.
anyway thanks to all of you... if i get to unlock this soon i will post it here.
Hi! I'm also looking for the cheapest code, but for now, the winner is mrunlock for 20 pounds... I don't know if I can trust it... Have you find something cheaper???
is there a free way to sim unlock a legend
Which carrier are you with? Do they provide a free unlocking service?
Vodafone here in Australia do, after 6 months or so of having a phone on a contract, straight away if you have bought it outright. So I am led to beleive.
Here in sweden we have to pay for it.

Ya..It's not safe ..Most of the free codes are generated by some algorithms. It may or may not work ..You have only limited unlocking attempts. If you enter wrong codes many times, your mobile get hard locked. So better you purchase the unlocking service from http://www.mobile-unlocker.com/ .This will help you to unlock your mobile easily..

Just for my benefit, if it's based on an algorithm then why do these unlock sites require the carrier you are currently locked to, when it was purchased and if the first attempt fails which shop it was purchased from?
My feeling is that it's more based on knowing someone who has access to the database of IMEI vs unlock codes.
Hello,
I have bought an Xperia x10i from Ebay.
The xperia was send from Austria and it have an Simlock from the Provider "3".
My question is, can i Unlock the Simlock with Rooting the phone? Or can i Unlock the Simlock in other way?
yes you can, sim lock has nothing to do with rooting..
try the davinci team, not free but reliable
Thanks for your answer
And it works 100% with the support from davinciteam?
Must i Buy 1 day license from Simlock.com?

Is it possible to unlock the Device if you flash the stock rom ?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App[/QUOTE]
firstly no shops in the uk charge a tenner to unlock these phones they buy server credits just like the ones from davinci,,, welcome to 2012..
and roms have no link to sim locks
also to note if your bothered about unlocking bootloader this also matters, because if your using a third party like htccode/simlock.com etc check if they are using setool2 to unlock if not you wont be able to unlock bootloader.
i recently did one from simlock, excellent service! quick to reply, cheap to but he does not use setool2 to unlock but he is looking into it...
Why pay 20 euro you can pay 5 euro by this site ,I have unlocked AT&T x10 a by IMEI works great .Code was provided to my in 15 minutes .Highly recommend!

Have you seen the price they are charging.....clicked on to see what it's like and selected to unlock my x10 to O2 and it was going to cost $79+ to send me a code what a ripoff

Hi guys,
I have an Xperia X10 which was purchased with an Orange contract but would like to give it to my younger brother since I've now got a new phone. The problem is my X10 is locked onto Orange and my brother is on Tesco. Is there a way to unlock the phone? I assume I can take the phone to Orange and they will unlock it for me but I'm sure they will charge for this. Is there a way to unlock it for free?
Any help would be very much appreciated

They made it illegal in the us without asking your carrier
So try to call your carrier and ask for sim unlock code

You can make a unlock code request to orange by calling their customer care executive. But i don't know how much they are charge to unlock your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 phone. But they will ask you to wait for some days or even some months to provide unlock code. Also they won't
give the code at free of cost.So better you can get the code from online provider like Theunlockarena.com .

This type of post is frustrating. If you want to promote a site, just be upfront about it.
Our name on here is mobileunlocked and if we ever link to ourselves, it's to be useful for people who are actually still looking for help. Not threads were the person clearly doesn't need advice any more.
Stop trying to destroy a good thing on XDA.
Network Lock
Please HELP...
is there any way to unlock network or sim unlock by flashing or debranding it? or changing firmware on it?
I have Sony Xperia SO-01b NTT DOCOMO and i would like to unlock network on it or sim unlock on it.
I am looking to buy a second hand Xperia Z2, but it is on the EE network in the UK. As I am on o2 I'd need to get it unlocked, and was wondering if anyone could confirm if it's possible, and easiest/cheapest way to do this.
There are some unlock codes for sale on ebay, but I have no experience in knowing if these are any good
thanks

I bought code from electronic shop.
I know they ordered code from web based in my IMEI but I don't know where from.
Just find seller that will offer guarantee - so if code doesn't work you can ask for new or money return...
I unlocked Z1 that way and it worked without any problems...
