Uh oh - Motorola Photon 4G

This can be deleted, problem fixed

I have heard that putting it into a bag of dry rice for 24hrs will help suck the moisture out.

Dried out damn quick. Rebooted again for the 5th or so time and it just started working like normal. Got really lucky.

Creaky

Hey, just wondering if anyone else's MoPho kind of "creaks," esp. the battery cover, or if its just mine. Thanks.
Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
Yeah especially on the bottom right side.
Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
Mine does bottom center but everywhere else is tight. Only "issue" I've had.
Thanks, just wanted to make sure mine wasnt the only one.

Mine creaked so I complained to Moto customer service and they sent me a brand new back door free. Installed it and the creak is gone. Its an easy fix!
Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
Yep same here... and did same as above. Got on Motorola support site, spent 5 minutes on their chat support, few days later had a free back cover. Squeak is gone now. Looks identical. Not sure what's different but it works! No reason not to try it.
This ^ is why I love XDA.

Mine creaks at the top in the middle.
Going to mention it to motor

No creak here....but now I know what to do if it starts lol!
Mine did for a while, but after a few times of removing and replacing the back cover, it stopped.

Crappy luck super glue

So I was getting dressed this morning and put my hand on my counter and didn't notice there was super glue on the counter, so one of my fingers were in it. Well I go to lift my phone and notice my finger sticks to the side of my phone. Small spot on the metal bezel. Now I have a superglue spot, what should I do to get it off its right on painted metal. I don't want to ruin the paint

Li-ion battery safety failed, probably while charging, got too hot, entered a runaway state and... this.

Sorry forgot about this thread lol... It was a BRAND NEW note that asurion sent me the week before christmas. It worked fine and I'm 98% sure it was the new stock battery as well. Though I normally use ankers but I figured fresh battery was cool. Luckilly that Friday night I had been too tired and fell asleep without charging it or this would have happened while I was asleep. Saturday morning I put it on the charger next to my bed around 730ish and it was at ~40% . Me and my daughter were laying in the bed watching spongebob when I heard a hissing noise, and I looked over to see steam shooting from my battery like the old pipes in movies . I took my daughter out of the room and heard a little pop then when I looked in the room my phone was on fire... Literrally burst into flames.... God is good. Could been A LOT worse. Still waiting to hear from Samsung.

Oh and it still powers on BTW works completely off and on there's just a big burn in the screen that only shows a yellow dot

Honestly, I'm not sure how you broke it. My dna is a tank. You just got unlucky.

Mine broke as well from a similar " light drop". Actually caught it on my boot, then it landed on the lower left corner. Screen shattered out from there. Everything works just fine on mine, so I'm leaving it as is for now as a reminder.

Mine shattered too. Fell out of my pocket onto concrete face first.

What happened? Did it take it like a champ? I haven't done it yet. I'm that guy who has horrible luck, so I'm keeping it out of the water for now.

No. Issues at all... When the screen was wet it was acting a little nuts wiped out down and it's all good

You got the guts to show you small tub and you hairy legs so dunk it. But please don't make a picture under water. Don't want to see what your a..looks like. We all have a clue about that seeing your legs.:silly:
I've worked outside soaked for 8 hours planting with it in my pocket listening to the Americas cup. It's still good.
So when the XZU comes into contact with water it morphs into a pair of hairy legs or an infamous chat show host? Wow, Sony done it again

First thing I did with mine was put some music on, fill up the sink and drop it on in. I made a Vine of it, but I don't think you can see those on the browser.
