Spire for Android? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
is it possible to port spire (siri-port for non-i4s-idevices) to android? I've now set up an SiriProxy server wo caches the iPhone 4S UDID and works now with non-iPhone4S-Devices.
But I need a UI for Android - then it's possible to bring Apple's Siri to Android - legally!
Greetings.

It is legal, custom servers like i4Siri use Google's servers and not Apple's; would you mind sharing the name of that app?

It's basically the same UI as siri.

you could just display that html5 in an webview, but i don't know if there is something that compiles html5 into valid android/java code (i don't think so).

Is there any way that Android could integrate social networks like Facebook?

Similar to iOS, is there any way that ICS, perhaps to incorporate Facebook or any other social networking sites to its OS?

On my phone I get FB notifications (although I often turn the feature off because it gets on my nerves) and I can sync contacts.
What features are you hoping of having integrated or 'incorporated', exactly, and why?
They could do but we will have top wait and see of they do.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Google +. I wish they could do those cool "Publish to wall" status for Google + directly as an option after taking a picture or something alike.
what do u mean by integraed .its already there in my phone ......the contact pictures are synced with the fb pictures and the notifications r there
Where exactly does iOS have social network integration other than Twitter?

what I meant is, for example, after taking pictures, you have the option to upload the image to twitter (on iOS). I mean, those simple stuff that could be integrated by android by their own ways to avoid copyright problems.

Uhhh, yeah. My phone can do that, automatically with a setting...though it doesn't give the option if set.. Look under sync settings, and in the settings for G+. I'm pretty sure Gingerbread phones could also do that.

You can do that already. Once you sign in to your Facebook/Twitter account on Android, you can share pictures and videos directly to them. Take a picture>Gallery>Share>Facebook/Twitter. It's a much better system than iOS.
In iOS, Apple has to specifically enable sharing, like they did for Twitter. But in Android, the share menu is universally accessible, so any application can integrate into the share menu if it wants to allow stuff to be shared easily to it.
Click thanks if I've helped you.
I suppose I haven't seen the all out potential of android. I apologize for being a newbie...

If you don't care about using Google Play Music 5.0:
Find old apk (4.5.9 I think)
Uninstall 5.0
Turn off automatic updating in market
Install old apk
???
Profit
This is the only thing I did, wasn't too wowed with the new features of 5.0.
I also don't know what it would take to add the functionality to 5.0 :/
Hope this helps.

Ok well the no updating might not be possible from editing the 4.5.9 app.
I looked around the 5.0 app and it definitely doesn't have the Tungsten support files so it isn't just missing visually
I'm wonder what is involved with porting the Tungsten code to the 5.0 app...

It may be built out but disabled, maybe because they had to disable it to get the contracts for Google music unlimited access.. Wonder if there is a labs type thing in Google music...

If you don't have any experience with Android app development, then i don't recommend it for your very important final year project... You better stick to a Platform that you're familiar with ... If you still want to go with android, Then Do check out the app development forums on XDA, Google, Android Docs (official ones) and StackOverflow..

If you are that paranoid, maybe better use LineageOS for MicroG. It's also available for Mido:

Spying: Google gathers data about where and when you've been, what pages visited, GPS locations, WiFi names (even if these are OFF) Google does that through Android. There's tons of specialist IT sites saying that. "Android is spying", BTW iOS is spyting too.
Didn't you know that? I thought everybody on XDA would knew what dirty spying tactics Google performs.
Incoginto mode in the browser in normal Android stock?! (it doesnt do well even on dekstop PC with linux or Windows)

It's not called spying, it's sending "anonymous data from you're device to improve user experience with Google apps". Or at least, they say like this...

I'm not saying stop using smartphones at all but we can protect ourselfs by using ... .what? LineageOs that other? That's why am asking.
Not to long ago Google admited that they read every mail (of course first by AI algorythms).
BTW Did yo all know that (it is proven by scientisc, showed in Morgan Freemans program)
Google can predict with 80% acurrate rate where and when you will be on any given day in a 1 year period.
Take it to the bank.

look here man, you don't need to be that much paranoid. i know all these things, but they do just to give you a more personalized experience. If you don't want google to be with you. There are two things which will make you completely spy proof. Firstly, change your imei, imei changing will greatly change your device data and no data will be registered as your personal one. "IMEI Spoofing", is what i mean. Secondly, clean flash lineage os, without gapps. Also note that changing imei can result in no calls, or hardware failure.

All custom roms except for Pixel Experience doesn't have Google apps unless you flash it. Just don't use any google apps and also use a paid vpn for some more privacy.
9/11 happening again :v
It's hard not to use some basic apps like camera, media, gallery etc.
