ITS NOW 99% DONE JUST NEED TO EDIT THE CALL BUTTON AND SAVE BUTTON BUT U CAN STILL SEE THEM BOTH SO MAKING CALLS IS NOW POSSIBLE WITH THIS APK :d HAVE FUN PEOPLE I HAVE TAKEN OLD 1 OFF AND REPLACED WITH NEW 1 LIKE BEFORE JUST INSTALL APK AS NORMALL BUT ITS ONLY FOR 2.3 OR 2.2 ROMS OKAY :d

oh yes DO NOT rename to just contacts.apk leave it as it is otherwise it will delete your original dialer and you wont be able to call out just install as any other apk
i was dev on x8 forum and i have now moved to wildfire ( again ) so now ill be porting apps from sony x8 to wildfire

thanx for testing i will resize the whole thing in morning. apart from that its very nice isnt it. i mean im using it right now instead of normal dialer and its brilliant ill be porting other apps to our wildfire also like samsung apps and that so this will be a big project

Excellent job , walkman app is awesome, only 1 problem with crashing when wi-fi is on. Maybe because of downloading lyrics and cover.
Sound is much better then stock app.

No need now it s ok , this problem was only for the first time i turn on wi-fi.

Haven't found call button ^) Call log gives force close and word search in contacts needs a smaller front. And one more thing, is it possible to make vibration when pushing buttons?

Active Launcher for Stock 2.1 ROM
THIS LAUNCHER IS AS SMOOTH AS THE STOCK X8 LAUNCHER IN STOCK ROM. DON'T KNOW WHY, BUT PROBABLY BECAUSE IT IS OPTIMIZED TO RUN ON ORIGINAL SONY ERICSSON ROMS AND SONY ERICSSON ENVIRONMENT. THIS WORKS WITH STOCK ROM
Reccomendations:
*Do not install as system app - it does not like to be a system app
*Do not uninstall the stock x8 launcher - it works good with it and don't worry only one launcher will be running at an instance, unless a FC happens.

*Can't add folder - but to be honest who gives a damn, if your using the original x8 launcher you woudn't even have this or all the other feature.

Yes I was about to mention this...
The difference here is that u have the 4 corners and also you do not need to flash this with all the other facebook inside xperia stuff (Which don't work properly).
you just install this apk as normal.

Oh, I like its smoothness (when you first flash with no apps), but I then hate its UI (status bar is eukkk).
Ever try GCZ? I heard its supposed to be like stock SE UI

You can edit it but you need to change the integers file just search in xda, i think u need apk manager and android sdk
If u need me to i can make one with 3 screens for u when i have time

Well I hate those who say this but i have to do the same:
Man use SEARCH! It's there! Either in General section or Q&A!
I've seen it and even downloaded the launcher and some widgets on the phone! However i directly removed it! Didn't like!

Somebody ported it over to the GS2 one month ago, it worked smoothly but the problem is that Sony phone ares using 858x480 while the GS2 has 800x480, so the bottom was cut off.

i was a xperia x10 user and i used this CM7 rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400384
So that is a CM rom with all Sony apps including timescape,phone,phonebook,messaging,setting,everything and looks and effects of sony and it also have all its CM7 functionality...
But for GS2 biggest problem is that is 800x480 and Sony Roms are of 854x480
I dont wanna the launcher. I just wanted the Timescape widget.

Timescape widget MUST be used with the SE home launcher... if not it WONT even appear in your widgets list... its hard coded to work only with their own home launcher...
To be honest, i tried getting timescape to properly work on my sgs2... almost manage to get it up, u will be going through tons of headaches and such..
Cleaned. Keep on topic.
I believe CM9 has TS themes. Though, I haven't found one that works. I'm also coming from an SE phone and really like its UI.

Their was a thread about arc s rom ported to s2 but sound was not working
Now that thread is dead and OP is removed(he says it will be released when sound is fixed)

I only use my timescape for viewing my sms but now its gone, only support facebook, twitter n foursquare. Even no plugin in market.

the timescape is there but there is no support for sms, when i put the timescape widget it only support feeds from facebook, twitter, foursquare etc but not my sms

That's a problem with the new event streams, I had this problem with my Ray when I installed the XS timescape files, can't remember which but uninstalling one of them back to 2011 timescape fix it, sadly there is no rollback on the XS as its default is the newest

With a lot of research on the internet I finally managed to get the classic SE Timescape working although it works only with SE launcher any one intrested in getting it to work on the touch wiz or other launchers?
If yes let me know I will post the files used..

Here you go buddy first flash the BE + Time scape zip and on top of that flash the timescape fix and then copy the SE _active launcher to the /system/app

@ anirudhks: after flashing the 2 zip files only, the timescape works good. but when i press the infinite view, it crashes. what does SE Active Launcher do if I copy it to system/app? there is already Launcher2 (SE) in system/app after the flashings..
any plans to fix the infinite view bug and add all other SE widgets? I would love to use them on my SGS2 device.. Cheers..

the infinite view has a bug yes as its based on the gingerbread framework , I will need to look into it however I am not a pro developer so would need the help of devs here , also the launcher is the Gingerbread launcher , the newer SE launchers wont recognize the widgets..

it doesnt work on touchwiz laucher. but it works on SE laucher cos it needs sony framework to run the timescape. it's only the infinite view issue.

Logically we should be able to trick the widget to work with Touch whiz too but just not able to find the right spot to identify the code... will check what I can do ..
or the other way I am looking at is to customize the SE launcher to look like the touchwhiz
