*Posted in Flyer section as well so I can keep track of which devices have which problems.
Alright guys, I'm going to make a View and Flyer batch script that does basic things such as reboots you into recovery, bootloader, RUU, etc. Flashes RUU zips (for the ones such as the HC S-off), runs revolutionary (you will have to provide your own beta key for it *note, this process can take a few tries*), and possibly more stuff as I go along. I have advanced experience in batch so I wouldn't mind hearing some ideas on what you guys want.
Download Link:
RC1: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15069134/Evo Tab supertool.zip
Instructions: Just navigate through the menus and choose what you want to do. If you are going to flash an RUU or Splash be sure to put it into the correct folder and have it named right. Also don't forget to clean out your device files afterwards (RUU's and Splash images)
Features:
Auto-checks Device (View or Flyer)
Easy to use UI
Flashes Splash images
Flashes RUU's
Reboot menu (Recovery, Fastboot, RUU, Android)
Installs Fastboot / ADB drivers
Able to run revolutionary
Recovery installer (Flyer and View and features Honeycomb and Gingerbread recoveries for each.)
Future Features (Hopefully):
Install new bootanimations in "Device Start Mod" menu (also move splash images to this menu)
Any other suggestions.
I will make it a bit more advanced later on but right now, it's a good collection of things.

Hey everyone, I need ideas on what to add to this.
would be nice if there was a mac/linux version, too.
Well I don't script in bash so someone else would have to. Only the menu's are unique to windows so Modding it would be easy.

What about an option to S-ON/run a stock RUU for warranty purposes?
My Tab's Flyer than yours (unless I'm posting in a Flyer thread, then it's just as Flyer...)

I was planning on adding that as an update for tmrw.

Hi everyone, I've written a brand spanking new recovery with a Android application front end!
To install my ROM Manager and recovery, simply download ROM Manager from the Market!

ClockworkMod Recovery:
ClockworkMod Recovery is based off the eclair recovery image. Features include Nandroid backup, adb shell, advanced update.zip options (ignore asserts and signature checks), and file browser for choosing update.zips (you can now organize your stuff by directory).
1.6.0
Bug fixes.
File list now scrolls in recovery.
Added hooks for ROM Manager.
1.4.2
Initial public release.
For a manual installation of the recovery, you can download it from my website:
http://www.koushikdutta.com/2010/02/clockwork-recovery-image.html
Are there any new options that are not available in Amon_RA's recovery image?
Interested to know also. What about this would make me switch? Sell me......annnnnd go.
Nice work. How to flash this?
Thanks.
Oohh! I'm liking the idea of being able to store zip's in directories then being able to browse to those directories in the recovery rom to flash them. I can't tell you how many times I've had to boot out of recovery and use Astro to move a zip from my downloads folder when I wasn't near a computer that I could use ADB to do that with.
Yeah that's the best feature there
I hate how everything is played out on my SD card now
I'll wait for Amon_RA to make the file browser feature. That's the only feature that Amon_RA recovery (cyanogen recovery) is missing to make it MORE perfect.
How about some screenshots?

Check the link, he has 'em posted on his blog.
While everyone is putting forth their feature requests, I'd might as well offer my $0.02 ... any chance we could get a feature to boot a custom kernel image or even an option to dual-boot from a zImage ala Debian?
This is very nice.
Just flashed it.
Love how you can folderise everything
Going have folders now with Themes,roms and keyboards...etc.
One of the main gripes I have is how much crap my SDcard has that I can't 'file'.... plays havoc with my OCD

I STRONGLY second that notion!
I'd live to see the ability to compress/decompress nandroid backups as well as rename them.
I find your lack of carebears disturbing.
Need a new link...
Just having the ability to use any update zip from any folder is enough for me to jump on this one. Thanks!!!
can some one reupload please.

Thanks. Took quite a bit of work to gather everything and I had to wait for permission for some things but I think this is a decent tool since it's only 44MB and is extremely generic for the 2 devices so you can basically use it for whatever.
*** OOPS: wrong thread ***
Hi all,
HTC Wildfire S. UK T-Mobile. New today. GSM.
Unlocking the bootloader was nto plain sailing but seems to have worked:
I unlocked the bootloader via this link - eventually
http://htcdev.com/bootloader
I got an error 190 when trying to apply the T-Mo UK RUU:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
There were no such updates available. I tired the HTC EU RUU. Error 191:
So I pulled the rom.zip (HBOOT update) from the RUU using this method:
http://lukasz.szmit.eu/2010/04/extracting-rom-files-from-htc-android.html
Renamed it PG76IMG.zip (actual version below)
http://www.cosic.org.uk/MarkoStuff/android/PG76IMG.zip
I applied this with a goldcard using method #3 here:
http://nzlamb.wordpress.com/2011/07/02/htc-wildfire-s-factory-rom-update/
Then the HTC process continued as normal to unlock the bootloader.
In the bootloader there is not the *** UNLOCKED *** in pink across the top.
MARVEL PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.09.0099
MICROP-0451
RADIO-7.46.35.08
Then the date.
Now I try this thread:
http://androidforums.com/wildfire-s-all-things-root/480954-guide-how-root-wildfire-s-s-finally.html
HTC supertool v3 doesn't work.
1/2, or 1/3 says 'rooted' but if I try a 'su' at the $ command prompt I'm permission denied.
So I try this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275
with clockworkmod from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1213229
(still on a Goldcard to ignore CID checks)
xda-cn recovery
Old clockworkmod
New clockworkmod
all three give the same error message when entering the bootloader and waiting for PG76IMG.zip to do it's thing:
Main Version is older!
Update Fail!
Press <POWER> to reboot.
This is beyond me. What is that error message trying to tell me please?
Thanks,
--
Marko
UnlockRoot also doesn't work:
Success with this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1431969
That little gadget (thanks eoghan2t7, have $5) gave some terrifying looking errors.
I used the manual option and hit root. It made errors, then it brought up a CWM console that allowed me to apply the xda_cn root.zip file to get superuser/root access. Then it made more errors, and failed to remove CWM recovery, so now I've got SU and CWM recovery.
Hope that this is useful for somebody - perhaps it could be transferred into the threads I've linked to? (I don't have enough pots to add to them)
Cheers,
--
Marko
Reading that again it makes no sense.
To clarify:
I asked eoghan2t7's app to manually "root" the phone using a "temporary" clockworkmod. It couldn't root the phone itself, but it did let me apply the rooting script by XDA.cn from this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195275
...and then failed to remove clockworkmod, a series of errors which left me with what I was after in the first place! (clockworkmod and root access)
Download link on page broken
The link for that app/program you have used is broken.
Can you please attach it here, then Ill be happy
Best Regards
Kim
Sorry, don't have it any more - try the dev?
I spent some time puting together a couple of themed TWRP Recovery zips. I am TWRP's biggest fan but I've always hated the stock look.
On pretty much every device I've owned I've put together some TWRP themes and made them available for those that like them.
To start with I've kept these simple..... NeatRom blue and red based but I'm happy to redo with other Rom logo/graphics.
Updated, tested and working on TWRP v2.7+ versions.
***Update**** Added NeatRed v2........ compiled for TWRP V2.8.0.1
Code taken directly from TWRP to avoid bugs.)
I have used another themers zip as inspiration and a working base for these themes so credit goes to Sneakyghost at the HTC One M8 threads. Original thread here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2734308
(thanks again for permissions to use)
Usual try at your own risk stuff applies but I've been running these for a few days with no issues. I hasten to ad......I am not a dev but a keen user.
Let me know what you think........ happy to do requests as and when real life allows it.

To install, rename zip file ui.zip.
In your internal storage you should have a file named TWRP.
If its not already inside, create another folder called theme (note this has to be lower case)
Copy/paste the ui.zip file into the TWRP/theme/ folder.
No need to worry about permissions..... Reboot to recovery and enjoy.
Reserved for updates
.........and another......
nice work mate. thank you
This is a great improvement over stock theme, nice work and thanks.

Added Cursor control.
For a full list of updates see DeesTroys thread.

Not exactly sure when HTC finally changed up their animations, but they did! I only just noticed a few days ago while watching a video of the new HTC 10, but subsequently found that the Desire 825 also uses this (so Feb. 2016 at the earliest so far).
Splash: Now white on a background (Identical to the B&W 4.4.4 splash I posted previously)
Due to it's apparent similarity, the included splash is the same as one the mentioned.
Boot Animation: (See above GIF)
Taken directly from the HTC 10 and resized to fit this device. Animation speed also adjusted to closer fit the device.
Down Animation: Now green on black background (matching boot) otherwise basically the same as it's always been
Taken directly from HTC 10 and resized to fit this device.
Installation
Installation is done entirely through recovery.
This is an "all-in-one" flashable zip that installs the not just the boot and shutdown animations, but also the splash screen as well.
This recovery flashable zip assumes two things:
Your animations are located in /system/customize/resource/
They are named hTC_bootup.zip and hTC_downanimation.zip
If your animations are named something else or are in a different folder you'll need to install these manually using your preferred file browser app.
Make sure to rename the files to match yours and make sure to set the permissions to match as well.
If everything matches up, flash the zip in your custom recovery and your good to go.
Downloads:
HTC 10 screens all-in-one installer: ZARA_10_Complete.zip
Return to Stock:
Use this recovery flashable zip to return the stock* screens to your device.
Stock screens all-in-one installer ZARA_Stock_Complete.zip
*The stock zip flashes the original boot animation, down animation, and splash screen that shipped with the Desire 601. It will not restore any custom animation/splash you may have been using prior to flashing this.
