Hi all
I decided to flash ics 4.0.3 leaked rom to my SGS2. It caused all sorts of problems such as apps not working, wifi issues, apps dissapearing from home screens, random lock ups and crashes.
So i decided i would flash back to a stock 2.3.4 rom and this is were problems started. I just get stuck in boot loops. Ive flashed on generic xeu roms that are for the uk with no luck. My phone came un branded when i bought it.
Ive tried older roms too all causing me the same problems. Im getting me roms from here and flashing using odin. It flashes fine but when i come to rebooting it just starts rebooting over and over.
Is there any reason for this? Is there a tried and tested uk rom i should be using?
If i flash the 4.0.3 rom it works everytime.
It sure sounds like your phone needs a factory reset.
Back up your current ROM with cw recovery and try it out.

Just reflash to stock rom using odin. Then do factory reset in recovery before booting up the fone.

I changed from SkyRom v4.0 to Lite'ning V5.0 and had bootloop issues. I'd already cleared caches and wiped everything, but still had issues. I flashed a stock rom, then flashed Lite'ning again and it worked fine.

I have the polish unbrended I9100 with the official LPS update, but I am loosing network all the time and lots of calls go straight to my voice mail. I did try to go back to LPQ, but could not find an officiel one. When I loaded one with the LPR modem I had CSC unknowen and again loosing network all the time. I try to change with the band selection but no luck. I am on Rogers in Canada. Any help will be appreciated.

I've got a similar problem with LPS and LP4. The funny thing is that antenna idicator shows full signal strenght.
Full wipe did not helped.
So you know where I can get an official LPQ? It was OK with it.

Same problem here, and I have flash back to LP3 modem. Just extract the modem.bin from LP3 and flash via Odin to phone
Sorry for the stupid question, but how do you do the extraction! Thanks a lot!

I loaded this modem wiht Odin, but in Kies I get: Curent Firmware version: I9100XXLPS/I9100XALPS/I91XXLPQ/I9100XXLPS (XEO)
It looks like I have two modems now. Is this the case? I will see tomorrow if the receptions is OK and if I will be loosing the network.

if you have the .tar.md5 file, just open it with any zip program like winzip/7zip, then extract the modem.bin.
Sill the sema problem. Now I will try to change the whole rom to LPQ. I really hope it will help.
Now I am on a full LPQ and I still have the network problem. I lose conection to the network and in 10-15 secpnda I get all bars. The problem started when I got the official LPS from the forum. Is it possible the Odin flash to have done fisical domage to the phone? I got it from Expansys USA, but I doubt it they will do something. Any help will be appreciated

Any help?
I tried only GSM bands and there is no problem, but the moment I add any of the WCDMA bands I start losing the network.
Maybe try full wipe before and after update (usb masstorage, dalvik cache and system) and flash LPQ again.
Or go back to 2.3.x

I did a full wipe, but now I do not have CMW, because I thought it had to do something with the rooting. Is there a way to test if the radio is fiscally damaged? thank you very much for the respnse!!!

I don't know if its possible to check it.
But can't you just flash some GB ROM using Odin? If its still doesn't work correctly with GB ROM than it must be something wrong with the phone.

I rooted the phone, did a factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, after install a new rom wiht Odin, factory reset and still the same. I bought it with Expansys USA, and they told me it will take 6-8 weeks to have it sent for warranty repair. I guess I will try with a GB rom and see. Thank you.

So far no luck. The last thing I put was the Luxembourg file, but it has the same modem LPS. I was trying to have a different CSC and see if this will help, but it did not.
Now I am giving a last try with UK O2 file, and if no difference I am sending it back to Expansys US for repair. I hope they do not come back and tell me that there is no problem with the phone.
dont want tobe rude but it seems you are not listening to what ppl saying......
before you snd your phone atleast check with Gb ROM.
if i were you i would full wipe the phone including system partition and flashed stock GB ROM using odin. and tested it without doing any thing more.
you want to fix your phone you better start forgeting your stuff and try what has been said here.
Yesterday I have installed ICS 4.0.4 on my Samsung Galaxy S2 and I noticed it is showing BLANK screen while taking pictures through camera or even while watching videos or YouTube I can only hear the audio but the video screen is blank.
Please advice how to resolve this issue.

I have only upgraded my current Android from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 have not done factory reset/wipe data.
Use stock kernel, don't use a custom kernel yet on stock ics 4.0.4.

Just flash it again and don't flash another kernel. Use the one which came with the rom.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
You're wrong. Stock kernel causes problems in lekaed software (LQ5, LPM) and also brings eMMC hardbrick bug.
Get back to 4.0.3 and wait for official 4.0.4.

You're right and wrong. You're right that it causes brick bug and you're wrong because in stock kernel, camera, video etc works perfectly. If you flash the current custom kernels now it causes the blank camera, videos won't show etc.

Right. I was just explaining it was caused by flashing a custom kernel not made specifically for 4.0.4 but for 4.0.3.

Thanks everyone for your prompt help and support.
I got the same problem here. but I update from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 via samsung kies officially. So, how am I going to downgrade it back to 4.0.3? please advice. I have tried wipe data/factory reset.
You have to re-install 4.0.3 there is no other option available, download Android 4.0.3 from http://samsung-updates.com/ and install it freshly. I did the same to get 4.0.3 back on my smartphone.
On the 4.0.4 flash latest siyah kernel

Try wiping /system before flashing the rom again. If it doesn't work. Then get yourself an Odin compatible stock ROM to flash... if you can get in to download mode then you will be fine. But try the first step and see how it goes.
