Hi everyone, my vibrant fall into water last week and now the power button is broken ( phone still work fine, and i can lock/unlock with volume button). The problem is i want to flash new rom, i can boot into CWM recovery, i can go up/down but i can't use power button to select. I'm looking for one of 2 options:
1: is there anyway that i can re-map button under CWM setting ?
2. is there 4ext touch recovery available for samsung vibrant like the one for htc sensation/my touch 4g?
( i already searched for hours but still can't find the answer,)

I'm a Newb Here so please bare with me here. So i recently rooted my LG Optimus v from virgin mobile and i tried to install a custom rom so i put the files onto my SD card and tried to go into recovery mode to flash the files but it does not work it just goes into a dark blue screen. I press HOME+VOL UP+POWER BUTTON and HOME+VOL DOWN+POWER BUTTON and none of them worked so i download app that makes it go into recovery but still a blue screen.So does anyone know how to fix this problem
when it goes to a dark blue screen you are using the wrong button. the menu and home keys might be backwards like on my recovery. I have to use the menu key to select options from recovery. and the code to get into recovery is power, vol down, and home button in that order
Hey guys. I made a video showing what I mean but that didn't work out. I'll try and explain it the best I can.
So I have an HTC Evo 3D rooted with Revolutionary with S-Off. The phone was working fine until recently. I have ClockWorkMod 5.0.2.0
When I go into CWM (power + volume down), it loads fine but won't let me access any menus. When I scroll down and select any option, the list just goes away and the CWM logo is all that's on my screen. If I click power again, the menu comes back. No matter what I select, this happens, even power down. The only way to reset my phone is to pull the battery.
Any ideas as to why this is happening? If there is an issue with the version, is there a way to upgrade/downgrade versions?
I would really like to load things from my SD card again.

You pressed the power button to select options?supposingly you should use the volume button to scroll,power button for back and home button for select...

Hi, I have bought the htc evo 3d three months ago and I rooted it at May...yesterday I've tried to install a rom and then it stucks..the clockwork mod doesn't work and now I can't power it on....what can I do???Is there way to fix that or not?? Please find a way....

I have exactly the same problem with my ZTE Blade, CWM5.0.2.0
I can navigate through the home menu OK, but selecting any option only results in a blank screen with the CWM logo in the middle.
A button press takes me back to the home menu again.
Any ideas anyone?

today i unlocked my atrix for the first time ,instaled a custom rom which did not work properly. i then tried to replace the rom with centrino gt ,it wouldnt go past the start screen so i removed the battery . i then held the on and vol down button scrolled to android recovery hit the on button and the screen just went blank --tried it several times same thing --can anyone help?

When you boot with the volume button and hit volume down to get to Android Recovery, you need to press *volume up* to select the option and boot into recovery, not power.

Hi, I installed new rom ([JB] [P4--P4WIFI--P4VZW] 4.1.2 AOKP), but i didnt canceled the security of lockscreen with PIN. After install old PIN doesnt work and i dont have access to my tablet. Version of my recovery is: Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) - 2.3.1.1.

It doesn't make sense that you wouldn't be able to access recovery on a hard reset unless you're using the wrong key combination.
Hold Power and Volume down which is right next to power, and keep holding them until you see the Galaxy tab logo. Then let go of Power ONLY and keep holding volume down. That should result in two options...recovery on the left, and download on the right. Let go of volume down as soon as you see the two icons, then press volume down once to select recovery, then volume up to select it.

I have a problem since 2 weeks now and it seems there is no answer to is...
I installed TWRP and also installed after the CWM recovery for trying purposes...
Here is my problem: After installing either of the recovery mode... Normally I switch off my phone after I "simply" need to press volume up button and power button simulatiously.... BUT it blo**y does not work.
So I wanted to ask: What am I doing wrong?
I have the TWRP-2.8.6.0_S90 and/or CWM_6.0.5.1
Help is much appreciated!
I tried something unconventional. I pressed the volume up and volume down key simultaneously while power on the device and twrp recovery booted up. Try yours.
