Not the best fit but it does fit snug in the back once you push the bars tight
figure i share with you guys
the cd player does hold it and won't fit on every cd player for cars.
I bought a proclip mount for my tiguan. I then purchased the motorola navigation dock with the suction cup mount. I then cut the ball from the suction cup mount...put a screw through it and screwed it to the proclip mount. I now have the phone right where i wanted it....next to the radio.....and maintained the stock device dock with the sliding charger port. Oh and i can still tilt and swivel it.

Hey all,
I'm looking for a horizontal docking station (table/desktop, not in-car) for my HD. Any ideas?
In the old days, there used to be a horizontal cradle for the TyTN, and there's a slick one out for the BB Storm.

True, Herbert Richter makes good car holders.
Maybe I didn't make it clear that I'm looking for a tabletop/desktop solution!
I don't really want to plop a car holder on my table ...
So I'll keep looking ...

I have seen a few mounts from RAM mentioned, gooseneck and suction cup variants. But not this type...

I have seen the arm separately without the ball mounts so you can put whichever type of ball mount you would like. Several lengths too, and even with multi-prt adjustable arms. GPScity(dot)com has several videos on youtube. This, with the Tab-Tite, seems to be pretty secure and more stable during driving than the gooseneck or suction mounts. it could be seat post or floor secured. I even thought of rigging it through one of my cupholders in center console to the floor, modding even further to be removable. You wouldn't necessarily have to use the Tab-Tite if you found another holder that fits more securely. With the quality of roads at home, and other places I go(let alone other driver's skills) i worry about my tab dropping.
Looking for experience with this type of mounting system.
I thought I'd create a thread with all the makeshift cases or sleeves being used out there. These are just temporary solutions until you find an actual case or sleeve. Hopefully this can give people some ideas as to what they can use temporarily to protect their Asus Transformer. If you have pics, please post them.
Currently, I'm using a bubble wrap case(or bag?) which came with an OEM DVD burner I recently purchased for my computer. The case fits perfectly. Check out the pics.

Notes:
Weight distribution is not an issue since the angle can be adjusted
Will not work on devices with curved backs, ingraved logos unless a case is used.
Thanks, well done, review looks pro
Just wanna throw my experience in here with the sony suction mount used with the z3v with the glass back. I had the phone on the mount and sat it down to do something on my computer. I heard a pop and when I took my phone off my worst fears were confirmed, it had sent a spider crack all through the back glass. I should note that I had had the phone repaired prior to this happening, and they did a pretty rough job and I'm pretty sure they didn't secure the screen or the back glass properly when putting it back together.
I believe this can be done quite easily and cheaply with a wireless receiver attached to the microusb port and stuck to the rear metal exterior shell of the phone. (My phone is then in a case so it would not be seen) . Then place the X2 on a transmitter pad and we should have wireless charging... No more plugging and unplugging .. Anyone like to comment ? ... Not found a suitable supplier of a receiver yet.

What do you think about this case. I cut the speaker hole bigger like the rest of the cases.
