Netflix using HDMI out? - Motorola Droid RAZR

I've been playing around with my HDMI cable that I originally bought for my Droid X... absolutely loving the mirror mode the RAZR has (much better than using realHDMI for the X) YouTube works flawlessly, however the only app I've come across that absolutely will not work is Netflix... you can browse movies, but as soon as you select a movie it will start to load and play like 2 secs of audio through TV then a pop-up notification alerts you that the Netflix server can't be reached(same if on wifi or 3g or 4g).... anyway I was wondering if there is some sort of work around for Netflix to use HDMI out function.... I feel that if I am streaming on my phone it shouldn't matter to Netflix if I want to view it on my TV... is there an app kinda like realHDMI that allows anything you want to use HDMI out?

that's weird, works fine for me on rzrx. Watched just about every episode of soa on my TV via the razr.

[Q] Getting 1080P movies to PS3?

Hello. Just bought my third HTC phone and I am very happy with it. The 1080P video sounds especially appealing. I saw there was an HDMI adapter which I mentioned to the sales guy and he said that his girlfriend had one(of the phones) and their TV (which has wifi) automatically picked it up. If I am going to take good HD videos it would be great to send them over wifi to my PS3 (preferably) or my computer with a media server on it to watch them easily. I have heard of an app called awesome drop but everything I have seen is getting media ONTO the phone, not off. I know I could just USB to my computer (and maybe even ps3?) but since it can be on my wifi network it would seem there was some way to easily just push the video wirelessly to watch. I know this isn't specific to the Amaze so if you think I will get better answers I can move to a more general Android area. Thanks always XDA.
Also in the same vein is there some app to just directly move any files freely between the phone and my computer (and maybe even ps3?) over wifi? TY

I use iMediaShare Premium to stream videos stored on my device to my XBox 360. I can also stream Youtube and several other services as well. All connect via wifi.
There's a program called PS3 Media Server that is awesome. I haven't yet tried streaming amaze videos, but I will tonight. THis app is very light weight and streams really well. I have yet to have any problems, but I've only streamed some relatively low bandwidth 4:3 video over wireless.
I stream video to my Xbox 360 using an app called Twonky, It's in the Android Market, nice and easy. Let me know if it works for you.

TV out

I have the AV cables and can get my home screen of my phone on the TV. My question is it possible to get Netflix to go from my phone out to TV?

unless the netflix app limits that ability. everything should work just fine. although not sure why you would want to with all the other sources we have now days for netflix. google tv, xbox, playstation, etc
Maybe he or she wants to use the TV out cables on a DVD player which uses A/V in? I would love to find out how to enable that capability on my phone since I have a 5" PSone monitor in addition to using Crunchyroll.

Hulu no hack, no root, working :)

Hello everybody,
Since I got my first android device some time ago, I've always wanted to play Hulu without having to pay for Hulu+ using I don't remember amount of methods. Hacking flash, changing the hulu+ app, etc.
Anyway, our friends from Wondershare Software Co., Ltd. made a player called Wondershare Player that goes to the Hulu page and bypass their flash plugin check and using their own player you can watch Hulu videos without having to pay for Hulu+. The downside is that you don't have the feature of the continuous playlist and the Hulu page doesn't register your views on your watch history.
Some of you already know this (thanks for sharing ). But for the ones that didn't know, it works like a charm in our LG Optimus G. And as the Crackel advertisements will say "You can get it from the amazing lowest price of FREE".
Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wondershare.player&hl=en
Hope it helps!

Works amazing. But I doubt it will for long. I've been using the Hulu flash hack flashex 2.05 forever. It's not as reliable as an app and it needs to be run after every boot up.

I will try it out tonight!
It doesn't seem to be working for me. I went to Hulu and tried watching a Family Guy episode that had the little Hulu plus symbol on it and when it plays, it only gives me a clip 1:30 long. Logging in is impossible as the zooming is completely messed up in the app.

It only lets you watch free hulu videos. The same as the desktop site. Any videos with the h+ icon require hulu plus or (only for some) a dish network subscription. If you can't watch it on a pc, you won't be able to watch it through the app. The app does not give you hulu plus but only enables playback on a mobile device without hulu plus.

Hulu Plus and NFL Mobile

I got the Smart Dock and was trying to watch these apps. First they worked but I was having issues with my sound sync. I unplugged it from the computer monitor DVI port and tried it on the TV. Hulu Plus worked. Then I got a forced screen orientation app and was having trouble with the setting and undocked it. I got the home screen on landscape but tried Hulu Plus and it says HDMI output is disabled. Same with NFL Network.
Is there a work around for this? Not that I need the Hulu Plus but I would like to watch the NFL Network that I pocket ordered and have to pay for.
Not sure about hulu, but the nfl app is definitely blocked from using hdmi out.

[APP] imediashare - shoot anything HD to your TV nicer than airplay.

Hey Guys, heres the deal, I own the following.
Galaxy Nexus x2
Nexus 10
Ipad 2.
hanging out at your house with a bunch of people having beers and want to show everyone some cool video you found?
Well guess what, No one wants to stare are your stupid phone or tablet! Nobody cares.
However, Beam it to your sweet tv set and everyone will check it out.
I own a Boxee box and a WD tv live + these stream all my content and are dlna capable, etc..
With my Ipad If I want to shoot a youtube video to the boxee box connected to my I just hit the airplay button. This is seemless and fast.
However it does NOT do HD.
On Android you cant do this manually. BOO!
This is until I found imediashare. This app finds any capable device on your local wifi network. Smart TV's Boxee box - xbmc, etc etc.
Go to youtube app, start a video, hit share - imediashare icon. BOOM, goes right to your tv set.
The best part in all this is that it will beam HD, I tested by beaming the new Lincoln movie trailer,
started the video hit share, and my boxee kicked the tv display to 1080p and it played Beautifully!.
Check it out its pretty sweet.

They have a light version too, but i think its nuetered to sd content..
This also shoots any other media on your android device as well.
cool app and no wires needed!.
Cheers!
Great! I'll give it a shot and report back in a while
Thanks I was looking for a good airplay alternative. This might fit the bill nicely.
I've been using Twonky Beam with pretty good success beaming media to my Roku. It is completely free, which is great. Quality looks fantastic although I'm not 100% sure if its full HD. As far as I can tell its just passing on the link to the video stream directly to the Roku and nothing is actually streamed via the phone.
Anyone else have experience with both?

FYI, imediashare is the free app of the day on Amazon today.

Looks like imediashare is no longer working. It will not see my Boxee Box anymore. Has anyone else noticed this issue?
