Hello all,
I am having a problem getting the phone part of my new DNA to work with blue-tooth in my car. The A2DP works great but after I answer or make a phone call with my Car Stereo (eclipse 3200) I cant hear anything and they cant hear me. If I use the dial-pad on the phone to make a call I hear the tones from the button pushes but nothing after the call is connected.
Thanks for any help or suggestions

I have a Sony bluetooth player in my car and it will not even recognize the device.
Edit: It was a user error on my part. I have successfully paired and it works flawless.

My car recognizes and pairs with the DNA, but it will only play the first 1-2 seconds of music, then the radio stops receiving any audio. Sometimes it works properly and will play songs completely, but the majority of the time, it will cut out. I can pause and unpause it, and I'll get 1-2 seconds of music, then it stops again.
Also, any high pitched sounds (ie. cymbals, percussion, etc.) are very distorted. I had this same issue on the Thunderbolt The Galaxy Nexus I had for the past year had no issues and sounded perfect over bluetooth.
I am disappoint.

I think the phone just has bluetooth problems in general, or BT4 is just not 100% backwards compatible. I have a Pioneer stereo, and never had any problems with any of my android devices (OG Droid, Droid X, inc2 and gNex) connecting, but when I connect my DNA, it actually crashes the phone process on the handset and it restarts (the process, not the handset). It still appears to be connected to the stereo after that, but I haven't tried making a call yet.
Stereo doesn't support BT streaming, so I can't test that. Has an SD slot, and that's all I ever use.
I'm having the same problem. My music will play for about 3 seconds, then goes silent. The car says I'm still connected, Google Music is still playing, but it mutes out. Was having fun while driving hitting the pause/play button to listen to a song 3 seconds at a time. Does anyone know if this is a OS problem, hardware problem or incompatibility, or other problem? I didn't see many posts about this elsewhere and haven't heard back from Verizon.

Working fine for me with my Kenwood. Music does skip occasionally, but my other phones (galaxy nexus, thunderbolt) have done that too.

For all of us who suffer a HTC Toyota combo and the dreaded bluetooth pause issue I believe I have found the issue and got a working solution !
From what I gather, the HTC music player sets the bluetooth player state to pause when leaving the music player and most other apps do not set it back to streaming. I found one which does, so a simple solution !
1. Start and stop a piece of music with the Fplay music player and it will reset the bluetooth player state to streaming. I put a widget on the home screen.
2. Start your other apps and enjoy streaming sound again.
3. Enjoy

Just yesterday i was listening to music and about every 30 seconds with my phone sitting on my desk i started experiencing periodic static. I thought it might be either the headphones or maybe the jack. I wiggled the jack and nothing while im wiggling. I went back to listening and it happend again with the phone sitting still. So i changed my headphones and once again i experienced static. So i toyed with my phone for hours and decided it is the stock Music app. I downloaded a market music player and havent experienced static for hours now. Is there a solution to this problem? Because i do enjoy the beats audio option and the lockscreen music player control. Otherwise id be okay with the aftermarket. Any solutions or market app suggestions would be much appreciated!!:victory:
Hi guys,
I use the HTC headphones and use the Music player and it always randomly changes songs. Sometimes it will go several songs in a row without changing, but then out of the blue it will keep changing songs after a few seconds.
Is this happening for anyone else? I've checked that no buttons are being pressed. The screen is off and nothing is pressing anything. The only thing I can think of is that it is windy. Is there some hidden voice commands being triggered to cause the music player to change songs? Thanks.
P.S. I am on CleanROM 2.5
I just switched to trickdroid and it does the same thing with the HTC music player on that Rom too. When I just use the music player at the gym or at my desk it has no issue. Why does it unexpectedly change songs when I am riding my motorcycle? Hmmm.

I am on TrickDroid 7.5.0 and was having the same issue, however I also had this issue with another HTC phone (Inspire) and was able to fix it by using only earbuds / earphones that have a 4 conductor 3.5mm headphone jack. If you are using a standard 3 conductor jack, you are going to continue having this problem (however it usually only occurs with vibration to the phone with the latter plugs).
I fixed the issue of songs & skipping mp3's on the HTC One today by switching to 4 conductor earbuds (with a microphone). I also repeatedly pulled the headphones in and out of the jack rapidly about 20 times. Now I can run, jog, bump and shake the phone forever without a skip.
Hope this helps, it is annoying for sure!
hi
Strange situation playing music into AUX plug on new car -- if phone is plugged in to charge, music (PowerAmp) stops playing after a few seconds. If it is not plugged in to charge, plays fine.
Any ideas?
what ROM?
tried another player?
Seems to be something with PowerAmp. Neutron works OK. I need to check out all the settings.
My guess is you are using non Samsung car charger and the pin configuration is triggering something like dock mode and causing sound to shut down/attempt to reroute......Just an educated guess
Has anyone else found their S9 now automatically turns shuffle on when it connects to a BT device?
I have tried a couple of different BT music devices (my truck, DAC, headphones) and every one of them automatically turns on shuffle when it starts playing music.
Example; drove to work listening to music NOT on shuffle. Get in truck for lunch or to go home and phone automatically starts playing music, but shuffle is now turned on.
I've started playing music via the speaker and made sure that shuffle is off, turned truck on, automatically connects... turns on shuffle.
I can plug in a wired device and it's fine.
Anyone else seeing this behavior?

Yes! I've also found that shuffle will come on at random times after it's connected as well. It's driving me nuts!
