This is not a new version. It is the latest, but not new. Asus pushed this about 4 days ago.
8.8.3.33 was posted this morning on Asus's TW ftp site. This ftp site is very slow.

This is the way it's been (so far) for the TF101 and asus posting updates.
1. asus pushes OTA's (if everything goes alright)
2. 3 to 5 days later, asus will post it up on the TW ftp site (very slow downloads). ftp://ftp.asus.com.tw/pub/ASUS/EeePAD/
3. a few hours later the updates sync up with dlcdnet (faster downloads).
4. 3 to 5 days later, asus will post it on there website.

I'm still messing with this bad boy, and am not sure what else has changed...My friend at Sprint said that they are having issues with RevA at the moment, and have pushed the deployment of the 'official' (to Sprint anyway) rom to March.
however, GPS works with Google Maps, and it acquires the satellites VERY quickly.
I feel like a kid in a candy store, that has some new effing sweet candy that no one has tasted before.
************EDIT**************
For those who waited patiently, here you go.
PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS HOWEVER BEFORE UPGRADING!!!!!!!!
* You MUST have either a stock bootloader or a re-locked bootloader for this to work properly. otherwise, you'll get crashes during the upgrade process. The installer seems a little flakey, so just remember to have the titan_exitbl app if you get stuck in bootloader mode. then, just boot back into your old ROM and try again. you'll get there, mine failed four times before I got it right.
*search for ImCoKeMaN's re-locker on here or ppcgeeks to find the relocker SPL with accompanying titan_exitbl app.

Don't let nonegiven have the ROM. He doesn't deserve it.
Hey there homies...
As I'm not the kind of person to keep things to myself, I will upload a link to this ROM tonight when I get home from work. Would that make all of you feel all warm and fuzzy?
That would be awesome! Unfortunately I have no patience. I NEED new toys : )
Thanks burrito
So this ROM is only intended for Sprint I assume.
Any hope in getting this ported to VZW in the future by anyone who knows what they're doing?

One thing I noticed though, and I don't know if this is something that was just funky with my PC, but I had the RUU crash at 11% twice... I thought it might be something wrong with my bootloader since I had Olipro's on there. I flashed the Re-Locker, and then tried again. It froze on 44% once, and then I tried one final time and it completed totally. YAY!!! It certainly didn't like the combo of dcd's 1.6.7 and olipro 1.20. Or, maybe again, it was something surrounding my PC since it has been running forever. I've never had flashing issues before, so it could be the placebo effect.

Yeah, I would agree. Merely because it finally flashed with no issues. If there was something wrong with the RUU, it wouldn't have ever loaded right? At least that's my logical thinking coming out.

This question is for people in the US that downloaded the 11.1 firmware update and applied it. Did it fix / break anything? Should I try it and see if it helps with the rebooting issues?
I just want to know if it helps at all.

Been wondering the same thing. I actually read the entire thread on it, and came away with no real detail on what it has that may be different. I like to incorporate any fixes I can get my hands on, but there is too little info on this "undocumented" update. Folks were nice enough to make it available, but no one ever tore it down enough to know what it does/has. I won't take that kind of risk on... Probably best to wait for the next official, especially since that thread went nowhere, and was not too conclusive as to what this update may or may not do.

This is the thread
OP: Try to include the full release number so people know what you are talking about, specifically. In this case, its the ICS Update 9.4.2.11.1
This seems to be the bulk of avalable info on this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1452933
In other words... not much. I thought about it... a lot. In fact I downloaded it last night, but so far, I am brave, but not stupid, I hope.
NEVER update to something that you do not know EXACTLY what it is, what it does(or is trying to do) and what is in it.
NEVER
Unless you LIKE having a shine "Spun Metalic" Brick... in which case, go for it.
I had the random freeze then immediately reboot bug. Really sucked and was really random. I couldn't pinpoint what was causing it at all.
Soooo, I gave 11.1 a go and all is well now.
Modded by MBOK
Um, where would I see it? Build is 9. whatever.. It updated automatically after unboxing and connecting, don't see an update available. Mine is working fine software wise, no reboots or anything

I have installed it and have been running it for a week or 2. I know that it has fixed my YouTube buffering issue. It seems that it hasn't fixed the lockup issue it wifi issue, but I have not had any reboot.
I would recommend it.
Ive been running it since a half hour after it was posted and its been very good. Everything runs great with the occasional browser freeze( doesnt matter which browser)one in a while which may be my own fault because of the way i hold it with one hand in the middle and my thumb touches the bottom of the display.

Hence why I posted this thread -_-
And so far people seem to be saying that it fixes up the problems a little bit. If I can get more confirmation of this, then I'll apply it. It's an official ASUS beta for USA users only, so that's why it's not "untrustworthy".
Updating now.
I don't mind trying new things, and I'm still within my return window. I'll post if I notice anything new, but I have had 0 software bugs to date.

I think you have to set the brightness to 50% and something else for it to go into "update mode" or whatever.
I've had it installed for over a week and a half, and it fixed my re-booting issue.

I'm used to searching on my tablet to see if it needs an update. But you said this was a manual.
However, when I got to the Asus Prime Firmware update site, the newest looks like 11, not 11.1.
I've bite the bullet to manually update to the beta 11.1, I will report back if it worked for me. I've had reboots/crashes/and lockups. Not too many, but enough to make me mad at this expensive 64gb tablet. Let's see. I've applied the update without a factory reset, hopefully a factor reset isn't needed since I've done a few after the orginal ICS update.

Sorry if I am being totally stupid .
I understand that oats is "upset" and has withdrawn and discontinued Light and Tasty but all link's for AOKP also appear to have disappeared. Are they both from the same person/source .
In the oats thread there was an announcement that the thread is discontinued and links deleted .
In AOKP I didn't see any announcement or links deleted. Just that the links now go nowhere.
Lets play nice , a simple answer if someone has it , not a referral to Google.
Thanks

Thanks for answering, what a horrible coincidence ! So no more AKOP either.
I can understand if a developer no longer has the time or inclination to continue with a build.
But not why existing links are canceled /deleted or why people are not allowed to share one's they already have .
I think it's AOKP not AKOP.

it seemed to only work without doing the gmail account and stuff. weird??
but on a different note, it hasnt been released yet. so ill be remaining stock for the update whuch should be happening very soon i hope....
LG France has revealed that there is update to be expected for D802 which fixes hissing sound in earplugs, however no information about knock code though.
Since my phone is damaged and touchscreen isn't functioning, Knock-Code isn't my interest anymore but wish you guys enjoy it.

Good news but for Vodafone Spain and they already realease an update 20b and Knock Code works like a charm. No Bluetooth bug and no Hising noise! =)
Edit: if you root it knock code still works, but when you install the recovery with autorec knock code doesn't work properly. And also we lose the feature knock on.
Also when I flashed it via pc I couldn't do a hard.reset with the.combo buttons. So I did it.via settings.

Read the last page. Unfortunately the same guy replied that said the update will not be today and that it's been delayed yet again. No new date given now. Extremely frustrating.
How is it that they already have Lollipop on their newly announced Venue 10 with the same basic hardware specs? I just hope that it being OTA truly means OTA and doesn't require me to reformat and reload all my apps/data, otherwise I might as well have used the Lollipop AOSP hack that was published here awhile back.

This is fake
Oh yeah, I saw that one. Definitely fake. Wish it were real though lol.
I don't own this device but I'm curious why no one has yet built a ROM for any of the 6 Dell Venues that have the Unsigned Kernel image support, the 5 that are xx40 series I figured someone could of built a semi functional Android-5.x.x being all five are merrifield based soc
Just got my OTA and installing now
Yeah I'm getting some kind of update but it's soooo slow downloading. Couple of hours at best.

It may take time with all the users downloading the update at one time.
Wouldn't have thought there'd be so many people up a couple of hours ago when I started...

My guess people were up and waiting, someone who has already got the update could upload it for others if they wanted to, most people won't only wanting to update their own device not concerned about others.
If someone uploads it that would help, if not then wait for dell servers to free up.
Anyway good luck.
Well as opposed to the slow download, 5.0.2 is pretty snappy in use.
Is the update available to people that have rooted?

you should unroot it first to be on the safe side.
Does any one have the ota so I can patch the stock firmware to investigate rooting it?

I unrooted and updated without a problem. So far I am really loving the update.
