Posting to the correct forum this time!
I have a new opened Nook Tablet I'd like to offer to a Developer for less than retail price. I'd prefer it go to a Dev first to help get these things rocking some custom ROMs.
Please don't Delete or Move this thread. I'm just trying to find out if there is a Dev in need. If there is an interested Dev I can post in the Market Place and make it all official.
Thanks,
Zhin

please close this thread , nobody comes here, we all visit the development section to see whats new but here we are not going to collect any money so there is no point to keep on it.
the only way to get attention is to be in the development sec if we cant its better to close it
thanks for killing it
This is a duplicate thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445304
Everyone take your pledges there.
The first step in making a custom ROM is hspl, and custom ROM doesn't imply anything except that another ROM may be flashed onto the device; it could be identical to stock in every way except the signature and version numbers. Furthermore, you'll need a custom ROM to verify that you have indeed cracked hspl. There is no reason to fragment two bounties over one feat.
Just got this tablet online. Being shipped as we speak. Can someone that is on these forums a lot please tell me what the state of development is for this slate. Is it customizable at all and if so could I have a link to roms, instructions, etc.

As I said in your other thread (see below), the Sony has a locked bootloader and original recovery. Sony has locked the Tablet S down well, and there is only a couple of root methods. If your tablet arrives with Honeycomb and a kernel below build#10, you can root it. You can then upgrade to ICS and keep your root by using the All-in-One tool provided by condi (check the Development forum). However, if your tablet arrives with ICS, there is no root exploit currently available.
Most of the development for the Tablet S has been rolled into condi's All In One tool that can be found in the development section. Read the instructions there, but understand you undertake them at your own risk.
Also, please only post one thread per question, (you didn't need to post this and your custom ROMs question separately) and also leave a more descriptive title than "Question. Please answer!". Using an informative title like "State of development for Sony Tablet S" or "What can I customise on my new Tablet" would get you a lot more replies and better ones.
I'm very sorry to ask this, but I'm searching and searching and most of the threads with rom's just don't explain anything. The just say "there are plenty of post explaining this". But how can people try something, if in the thread of the ROM avoid explanations, how can we move foward in DEV the nook tablet when the whole organization of this part of the forum is lacking a lot of "how to's"
I'm not the most knowledged android user, but after 3 devices, all of them rooted and with custom roms it's hard to come to the nook tablet forum and not being able to do much,
If someone could point me out in the right direction I would appreciate and then the admin can close this thread.
Cheers

I'm pretty close to being ready to post a new CM11 ROM port for the HD6 (presumably it'll work on the HD7 too). However it's not letting me post on the Original Android Development forum -- should I post it on General and have a mod move it? Or can I get privilege to post to the dev forum?
(mods: please feel free to close/move this thread as appropriate, I'm not sure where to post this question).

@ everyone else who stumbles on this -- slowly but surely making progress I'm having troubles with graphics acceleration, but at least the thing is booting and I have useful logs now
Hi!
Wasn't sure where to post this as the devjce doesn't have a dedicated forum yet, so I guess ill start here!
Was wondering if any of the amazing developers out there would be interested in our progress on the Samsung Galaxy J3(SM-J320P), as we have a working custom recovery (TWRP) and are just waiting on a boot kernel with root protection removed to have perminant root. The link to the TWRP thread is here. If anyone is interested feel free to reply here, PM me, or post on the TWRP thread. Thanks for taking the time to read my long question!SM
