[Q] Looking for 'Answer screen' replacement. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys,
I am looking for some free app which can replace the default screen while answering an incoming phone call on my HTC Desire.
What happens - when the device is locked and somebody calls me, sometimes I'm answering the call while taking the phone out of my pocket, which is not that convenient.
I checked the forum and the market and there are tons of screen locks, but at least those that I tried are not changing the 'answer screen'.
Any advise would be appreciated.

HTC Hero making it's own calls?

Hi, I own a HTC Hero (G2 Touch) on T-Mobile UK. No custom roms or rooting (although I have been tempted). Using T-Mobiles updated rom (2.73.110.26).
However, over the last week I have had phonecalls from both my dad and a friend asking why they have several missed calls in the case of my dad, or a missed call this morning in the case of my friend (when at the time I was using the phones web browser and ebuddy).
Is this something to do with the phone? There is no call history for these 'missed calls' and nothing comes up on my screen when these phone calls are apparently taking place, as I was actually using the phone when it happened this morning.
Any one else had issues?
Thanks, Adam.
its the widget that has your contacts on the screen it can silently call ppl if you accidently press on it while switching screen, did it to mine a few times until my dad wanted to kill me, removed it and no more hassle
I have got the people widget on my home screen actually, but this friend I apparently rang is only set to text on that widget. And there's nothing in my call log. Although good shout, might be some bug in the widget?

[Q] How to make screen 'unsensitive' on incoming calls?

What I'll often find happening with my HTC Desire S is that I receive a call on the phone, and as I'm rushing to get it out of my pocket I'm accidentally managing to swipe the screen, which rejects or accepts the call, when I didn't want to.
What's the best way to avoid this, given that I want to keep my phone in my pocket? I'd kind of like the screen to remain disabled when a call is being received until I press the power button at which point it becomes sensitive. Is there a way to do this or something which would avoid this accidental accept/reject of calls?
Is there anything built into Android that would allow this? An app? Or would it require development of a new app to get this kind of functionality?
As a sidenote, would there be a more appropriate xda-developers forum for me to post this in, or have I picked the right one?

[Q] issue when recieving calls

I have a brand new c6806 non GPe.
which I rotted immediately however have not made any changes other than the root itself. I noticed when I get a call in sleep or at the lock screen, it rings and flashes (very briefly not long enough to see whose calling) the incoming call screen then returns to the lock screen. So to see who is calling and answer the call, you have to first enter the lock screen whether it be pin or swipe ect., then answer the call
just wondering if anyone else experienced this and how they solved it
Thanks
I can post a video if need be.
Youtube video has been removed,
problem appears to be something with the live wallpaper not sure what though

Elephone - phone answers calls in purse!! Face recognition!?

Hi everyone,
a friend of mine has an Elephone device - I don't know which one, but it's running Lollipop.
She said she once activated the feature, that would detect when she's receiving a call and places the phone by her cheek (as you would do when speaking on the phone) and thus the phone would automatically pick up. I guess it has something to do with the proximity sensor or so?
Anywho, this "feature" isn't working properly, so the phone keeps answering calls while it's in her purse.
I checked all the settings menus and also the phone-app settings, but couldn't find anything to deactivate this.
Can someone help me? Thank in advance!
