Hey everyone, I googled this and searched xda and I can't find anything so I thought I would just ask.
I am running a pre-rooted stock rom with the update. Completely stock except for root. When the screen has been off for a few minutes it will autorotate to landscape a second after I unlock it. This happens even when the phone is completely still, and vertical. I am lost as to why this is, as it does it about 90% of the time. Locking the phone and then immediately unlocking it doesn't recreate the problem, the screen has to be off for about 3-5 minutes. It is irritating. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I think this is a bug in sense 3.0 and sense 3.5 because i noticed the issue in all custom sense roms including virtuous affinity and bliss ports on my glacier.

go to settings, display, and uncheck autorotate on...hold the power button and press restart, do not turn off and on, just press restart...the go back and check autorotate on again...see if that helps.
That seems to have helped. Tried to recreate the issue a few times since trying the fix above, and it isn't doing it. Still early though. I'll post again if it persists. Thanks for the help

Okay, so the problem it's still there. I had to go to work shortly after my last post and just got home and around to posting about it. I don't seem to recall having this issue with the stock rom without the ota update. Guess I'll just have to wait for a good rom to flash, and how that the problem is gone. Thanks for the tip though.

there are always going to be some bugs with roms, even with the cyanogen mod rom, which is the biggest of them all there are bugs...even with oem stock roms there are bugs...all you can do is try another one, or contact the developer

Alright, to sum this up I fresh install any ics rom, run it, and at some point my lock screen always becomes unresponsive. The screen doesn't register my touches, anyone have a fix lemme know.

does this happen on stock eh03?
I seem to remember this happening way back when I used tsm Res and I could never figure it out. It wasn't on all roms or versions. Try a few others rk see what happens.

I had this issue on ics, turning the screen off then back on usually fixed it. Haven't had it happen since I bumped my min clock speed up to 200 instead of 100. Maybe give it a try.

I get this a lot too, I posted about it but all I got was it might be a hardware issue since it does it across roms.
Didn't see anywhere in the thread if the bluetooth was or wasn't working. Just though I'd let you guys know that bluetooth crashes my Tbolt. I've tried it a few times, just turning it on crashes and when I try to view the bluetooth menu. And now I'm stuck in a bootloop. This is my first post and due to the sight rules I can't post on the actual thread, perhaps a mod can move this to it. Otherwise this has been great!
Try flashing the imoseyon kernal. This should fix your Bluetooth issues.

You're talking about this one, correct?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1086518
I see that it is a GB kernel and this is an ICS rom. I don't know if that makes a difference. Still pretty new at this, that's why I'm asking.
My apologies. No you cannot use this with ICS. Its early in the morning and thought I read the title to be about Jesters other ROM Jellyblur (GB ROM themed to look like ICS). There are no custom kernals yet for the Thunderbolts ICS until HTC drops the source. I will try to re-create this issue and I will get back with you unless someone gives a solution before me lol. Once again my apologies.
If you are in a bootloop you may have to re-wipe and re-install the ROM. It may have been a bad flash if BT was not working and caused a bootloop.
EDIT: although irrelevent for this ROM, the link you provided is an outdated custom kernal. The Dev has since then updated to 6.2.1

Ok cool. I wasn't sure. Good thing I didn't just try it, haha. I ended up wiping it all and reflashing. Haven't tried bluetooth after new install though.

So the bluetooth doesnt work with this rom?
As far as I've tried, no. But like baronmxc said, it could be a bad flash. I'm gonna try when I get back from class in a couple hours.

Hi,
Well you are in luck I had the exact same problem today and finally found the fix. I was using the . 9 radio was working fine so thought its ok but since bluetooth was my only issue I flashed ( in hboot) the . 19 radio and now no bluetooth problem. Not only turn it on and off able to use it!
Phone has not rebooted once since I did this.
Hope this helps you out,
Bryan
Swannyman, I suggest you to try out what trapperjohn found before you wipe. I have also heard reports of the latest radio fixing these issues also.

Great!
I love it when a plan comes together.
I also notice alot more 4g speed.
That bootloop sucks.
I wonder if this radio came out when the leak was initially released.
Would explain why on gingerbread we didn't see a big change but obviously the minor change in it was for ics.
Thanks,
Bryan

Yeah, it must have but I'm glad to be out of that mess with the bootloop. Thanks again!
Since the problem got solved...figured I'd jump in with a couple issues that I'm having with this rom.
1* I go into settings and to my apps. When I click an app and it brings up the space used and other info...everything says computing and doesn't show a value. I'm trying to move my apps to the SD and it does nothing since they wont compute. Anybody with this issue...a fix?
2* When I get a SMS, the LED keeps blinking after the message is closed or replied to. It stops after a few minutes, but its annoying. I have GoSMS.

1. Wait and let it total all the apps before entering to move them. It may take a minute if you have a lot of apps.
2. That's a bug with gosms. I never could figure out a fix other than disabling the led notification.

I finally got them moved, but it would take 1-4 minutes a piece to move. And when I try to uninstall an app, it just says uninstalling and hangs on that screen.

Hi,
Have you rebooted since installing the rom?
Usually a reboot and waiting 5 after boot corrects this problem.
Thanks,
Bryan

1 month ago it begins...
im in using an app and ramdomly the screen start to flicker
as someone was pressing as a crazy the menu and back softkeys
sometimes a reboot fix it...sometimes doesn't...
it drives me crazy!!, dunno how to start to fix this
please, any idea will be appreciated!!
thanks
since yesterday, flashed the stock rom with LGNPST...not the stock that i've flashed with CWM...
at this moment, didn't installed nothing, didn't rooted, and phone is nice and stable...
maybe an app is causing it?
maybe root?
so...let's try it a little more and see what happens
Might be a hardware issue. I broke my capacitive keys once and they kept pressing automatically like you described

right now im on ATT TOT stock file...and it's amazing!!
nicely and flawesly!!
no issues so far!!
by the way, how u solved ur problem??
Agreed. I was forced to use the stock tot for a few days because I couldn't unlock. The stock ROM is actually the smoothest ROM I've used. The boot time is only a few seconds. I'm on Nocturnal now, because I have to have Google Now and the jellybean ROM had BSOD issues.

first 24 hrs totally stock, and no issues so far!!
seems that the rom or some software was causing this ****!!
So here's the deal, I have been running AOSP roms (Carbon right now) for a couple months now and everything has been fine until recently when I fully wiped and flashed a Sense Rom to update my PRL & Profile. When I wiped and went back to AOSP my phone hasn't been the same. I get this Noise Screen (see attachment) that I assume is from corruption on the internal memory. I've installed a fresh recovery, rom multiple times, even splash screen since that rarely pops up anymore. First time it happened it said my SD CARD 1 (internal memory) was corrupt so I need to format it, which I did then it ran ok for a couple days and now I'm back here. What can I do?!? I'm S-OFF and believe I'm on hboot 1.12.
Any idea's? The phone is on right now but if i restart it theres a good chance that I wont be able to access it. It boots up as if its normal with all the correct vibrations at the right times (at splash screen, at boot animation) but all I see is that noise screen. I can screen off and on but all I see is that noise screen. Sometimes after 30+ minutes of leaving it on the noise screen, I'll screen on and bam no noise. Right now I have no noise so I'd like to get this right the first time.
Please help!!!

There have been several threads posted in the past regarding this same issue. If I recall correctly it has to do with the digitizer going bad.

I don't think your two issues are related. The screen issue appears to be hardware related. Not sure about the corrupted internal memory issue

I'm having VERY long GPS lock times and it won't hold for very long. I've noticed this in the last few months of roms and I keep my roms up to date. I use my phone for navigation and it used to be very good, quick to lock and stayed locked but since May its pretty much impossible to use. I use Waze and GMaps, GMaps is a little more consistent but still not as good as the past. I'm currently on the latest uXYLON but like I said this has been happening for the last 3 months or so independent of what rom I use and the last month its gotten impossible to navigate with.
I tried to fix it by installing the US GPS.config file with no success.
So please any suggestions throw them my way!

I also rely heavily on GPS navigation and ran into this same problem too a while back. I was flashing many different roms and think I flashed a couple of different kernels as well. I believe the problem I had was kernel based and even flashing back to stock touchwiz didn't help. The solution was to Odin back, rather than flash, to stock. Hope this helps you. And please respond back if this does work for you. Good luck

I Odin'd back to gingerbread and did updates with Samsung kies because ICS was the current OS on at&t. I'll make the assumption that JB Odin should get you back to good GPS

It worked for me. Just be very careful when prying up the prongs.
Odin'd back to Samsung jelly bean, didn't fix gps. Kind of afraid to open up my phone and pry the prongs. I'll have to look into that more.
Thanks for your help guys.

turn off gps.
download the following
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Double.FasterFix
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest
Start fasterfix and set to your optimised server. close ffix
Open gpstest, go to settings, click clear agps then update agps. Close gpstest
turn on gps, start gpstest. First time starting, it may take a minute or 2.
Hopefully this helps you.
edit- the note is actually very easy to open. this video will help http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pD9R-YUT69Q
I tried to pry it open and for whatever reason I could not get the phone open. Yes I took the screws out haha. Well whatever I did seemed to do something because the reception improved, signal dropped a little occasionally but its fine now. Thankfully the note 3 is close!
Thank you for all your help!!!!!
