Received my prime from bestbuy a few days ago and realized last night that I have two dead pixels right in the middle of the screen. Kinda pissed I already called bestbuy and I have a new one on the way which I hope has no problems. I never have good luck with things like this. Has anyone else found some dead pixels on their prime?
Suggest a simple search on the term "pixel".

Whys that?
Because you didn't need to create this thread. A simple search would have saved you the time and completely answered your question. Check out the "general" sub-forum. Lots of info there.

Most likely because:
1) You wanted an answer on New Years
2) An answer within 8 hours (goes with #1)
3) The fact you're not rooted makes what you are experiencing something that should not happen and really few options to fix it.
4) The rootzwiki thunderbolt forums are generally more active, but if you need instant answers and "OMG I CANT WAITTTT IT'LLL KILLL MEEEEEE," then I suggest going on IRC
I would root and install something else (another ROM) or return the phone and complain to verizon about it.
yeah, it just seems like your best option is to root or return it, considering it's brand new and you already tried a factory reset. I would probably return it...who knows what's causing that issue on the stock firmware, or what issues it might cause on other ROMs.
are you able to download to the phone from other sources, or is it definitely just the Market?

Fine answers.
1) just got phone
2) was 700 miles from home
3) this was second post
4) this is the q n a section, is it not?
5) ive been with xda for a long time, if you look at my past, you see helpful posts, not smartass answers like yours.
If you didnt have a decent solution, then dont reply.

Not to start a war but your 2nd post seemed smart ass to me. Also sounded like a slight knock to the forum as well.
Sorry no one could be at your hands and feet groveling with answers, but as pointed out to you, its the holidays and people have things going on.
more patience and maybe asking the second time in a nicer tone might have helped...

So i didnt ask nice the first time? Also, this was not my first post, the other got no answer also, so when i post 2 questions, nicely, and get nothing, well it makes you wonder. Ive been around these forums longer than some of the mods, ive never seen that in all my time here. If my post offended anyone, i do apologize, but as far as people doing things, well it wasnt like i was just sitting at my phone, i was taking the wife and kids across 3 states to visit family and traveling in a car 1500 miles. Thats why there is an xda APP. You dont need a pc.

Ooooooooooook, I think we're done here.
Seems like Asus is revealing yet another Transformer. The back on this one looks pretty similar to the TF101.
http://www.product-reviews.net/2012/02/03/skepticism-transformer-prime-successor/
I wonder how Asus will spin this one? The TF101 being the low-end device, the TF201 being the mid-end device and the TF700 being the high-end enthusiast one. Where does this fit in?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
Do we REALLY need ANOTHER thread on this topic.........
As far as I know, this is the first topic about the TF300. This is not the TF700 that has been discussed to death.

you know, you really don't need to be an asshole about it.
The FIRST rule of XDA is.....
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.

Sorry but where exactly does this point to a TF201 Forum?
Ur right. I I made the presumption that this will also be used for Asus TF201 official forum.

Here.
Don't feel too bad, I missed it at first glance as well. It's under "Mobile Phone" listed as T20/Pad phone (where T20 is the Prime forum, and Pad phone is the Pad phone forum.)

What a empty forum. Good that you posted it so more people get aware of it existence.
Think that posting problems and buggs there will easier for Asus to see and give support than posting on other forums that Asus isn't watching.
Asus Prime & Tapatalk
Just went to Pulse and heard that asus is offering a gps dongle on their website if the gps doesn't work. When I read closer, it directed me back to xda, but I couldn't find any thread talking about a free dongle. Can anyone confirm that ASUS is doing this? And if so, how do I sign up to get one?
Thanks for any replies

Yes, there was a 20+ page thread with all the details and the whole thread completely disappeared from the site yesterday afternoon. I would guess that someone from Asus complained.

Wow! Really? So does ASUS tell xda what they can allow to posted on their site all the time? I come here to educate myself based on USERS experiences not what a manufacturer deems I should be allowed to read.

I believe that any company can have "propriety/inside" information removed, if the item was not meant for public consumption. And until they release details, it would be private corporate info....I think that all the different reports that you see today all came from the original email that was posted on XDA in the removed section.
In the past, I've seen Microsoft do the same thing when someone published a ROM for a windows phone that had not been released.

thanks, but to clarify please go to the link in the first post and reply there. that's the only place the admins check for consideration. if you just post here they won't see it.
Can't find it
I dont see the TF300 in the list
i want u guys to leave…
and quickly…
Done (+1 ASUS TF300)
+1 (soon to be former TF101 user)
please get these mofos out of here ASAP...lmfao they need their own section or stick all their threads in the OG transformer section. since that is the device its replacing.
Personally im fine having TF101, 201, and 301 users in one Transformer group. maybe made a different subgroup for programming for the 101, 201, and 301 since custom roms will likely be slightly different but apps and games and general discussions often carry over on all three.
For instance, the dock connector is the same on all three tablets. Im trying to get a pinout for the dock connector however having data spread across two forums, and if this carries across THREE forums will break any progress.
Look what they did for the I9100, theres a seperate section for just the I9100G however general works for everyone, no segregation needed.
Food for thought. i vote no.

i agree with with you but that's more of issue how the WHOLE site is organized. i saw a thread somewhere where something similar was suggested but didn't see any reply from admins/mods. unless that gonna happen a separate 300 is the best option we have.
