Will rooting unlock my Galaxy Ace phone to all networks? - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Many thanks in advance

No. I do not suggest you try unlocking apps or mods either. They have a long record of losing your imei. Just use the unlock code from your provider to be safe. Custom rom alone just will not do this for you, but it will void your warranty.

Search Samsung Galaxy S Unlock tool on the market. This is the easiest way to unlock your phone.
Does it work?

Yes it worked great for me. I was on stock rom and rooted though. I was able to start using my AT&T sim card after I did it.
as mentioned above.. go to Market, and look for SGS Unlock, if the free version can not generate the unlock code, go for the Pro version.. or you could do it yourself for free by following instructions here:

[Q] Should I Unlock first before Debranding and Rooting?

Hi! Newbie here. I have an X10a locked to Rogers.
I plan to do all three to my phone: Unlock, Debrand
and Root. Is there a particular or ideal order on
which one I should do first?
Sorry if this question has already been asked. Thanks!
either or, it doesn't matter dude :-D it will stay unlocked no matter what ROM you put on it, no matter how many different ROMs. but if you want to 'debrand'(no need when you can flash generic ROM) you need to root it.

[Q] Ways around Bootloader Allowed: No

Hey all,
So I've been searching through these forums trying to get my head around the problem of Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No on my L22i, but there's so many threads, and I'm seriously struggling to figure out my best plan of action, so please do forgive my ignorance!
I've checked and my phone is Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No. It seems that there's a lot of ideas tossed about, but no real solution given. All I'm trying to do is go from 4.0.4 to 4.1. It seems that it is possible to flash roms without bootloader being unlocked, but obviously I'd just prefer if bootloader was unlocked. I had CM on an old HTC of mine, and I'd even like the option of migrating to that in the future.
So what are my options? CWM Recovery to root my phone to unlock bootloader? Flash a rom that has bootloader unlocked? Something else?
Like I said, I've spent the last while looking though the site to see if I can get my head around what I can/cannot do, but it's all very confusing, so any help would be appreciated. (Beyond just telling me to search.)
Cheers.
Flashing rom will not change the status. Flashing custom kernel not recommended, it will brick it. Bootloader unlock is done via sony web page, you'll get a code which you'll insert into phone and thats it.

Just read and maybe contact sony directly
And read this

This will give you thr direction.
On short, this option is ussually operator request. If you obtain unlock code from operator toget the phone sim free then you might go to sony centre and ask staff for bootloader unlock.

I read but there's no answers. I have sola with no bl unlock allowed device, too. I don't know how to unlock that bro

After you gain unlock code from your operator, so your phone will be sim free, then you might go to sony centre and ask them to unlock your bootloader. Its operator whos asking this stuff to be done, but once your contract over, or you'll get the unlock code to make it sim free, then you can ask sony to unlock bootloader.

unlock code
how much time do we have to wait to ask for the code from the operator?
here in Portugal i think that is 2 years in any operator, but i'm not sure
Tiil end of your contract or you can asl what you need to do whrn you want umlock.
Sent from my MT27i using xda app-developers app
but i don't have contract, i've been with this nunber almost for 15 years, but i bought my xperia u almost 2 years ago.
i better get info with the operator :good:
If i got an unlock code, not from the mobile phone company, but have it and the phone is sim unlocked already, if i send them that code they can still unlock the bootloader?
I have a Xperia U with bootloader allowed: no and SIM lock. Is there any solution to unlock the bootloader?
Ask them...

Guys, i want to make it clear on this thread.
If bootloader unlock allowed: no is there, NO ONE CAN HELP YOU. NOT EVEN SONY. ITS YOUR FREAKING TELCO THAT CAUSED IT. FIND THEM, NOT XDA.
