Here is the stock fascinate music player.
Deodexed from my stock fascinate with xUltimate
I'm not much of a fan for the aosp music player mostly because I enjoy the lockscreen control of the stock player.
Here is a zip you can flash with CWM.
A little bit off-topic, but what does deodexed mean? I've looked around, but haven't been able to find an answer.
Can this just be flashed via cwm? I am currently running JTs clean rom but I have missed having they music controls on the lock screen?

If you look in your stock system/app folder you will see a .apk and .odex files per system app. Deodexed files have no odex file hence de-odex. I believe the .odex is like a cached file for the program. Deodexing does speed things up but primarily they are used for customization. I am sure there is more to it than just that but that's all I know... I would say google it for more info.

First hit has your answer.
Thank you, worked perfect.
Why is this a new thread in the dev section?
(1) We already have a full deodexed system dump.
(2) This is just one app, not development.
Meh someone got some use out of it....

This made getting the stock music player back much easier. Don't bash just because you didn't find it useful.

Lock screen controls? Why have I never seen these? I always have to unlock my phone to mess with the music player. Did I miss something?

While playing music from the stock player there is a cd at the top of the lock screen you slide it down for the controls.

This sucks. Apparently it only works if you don't have a pattern to unlock. That's why I never noticed it, I use a pattern.
If I install this will it replace the one that is in JT's stock rom?
jv
Yes you did. The stock music player let's you control your music through the task bar. While playing music check out the puzzle screen and at the top there will be a cd, pull it down , and whala!

Here is how I do music controls on the lock screen, with greatly superior programs...
Get TuneWiki
Get Widget Locke
In Widget Locker, enable the TuneWiki widget.
Bam. Now you have a much better music player than the AOSP music player OR stock (handles shoutcast, does lyrics, etc.) - but you also have a much better lock screen that's extremely customizable. Win x2.

Alright so I'm trying your suggestion with widget locker, and when locked my screen keeps cycling on and off. Have you not had this issue? It happens with no settings changes. I'm using launcher pro on jt's clean .4

Hi, I have a Galaxy S2 (AT&T) and my stock music player lets me pause/skip my music for the notification window. I use player pro and it does not have that feature. Is there another app I can download that will allows to do that?

I don't think you can do that.
Does anyone know how to get the music player to show up on the lock screen while listening to music to work? Its quite annoying having to unlock the screen just to switch songs
If you have a pattern to unlock, it shows on that screen after you swipe. Not sure about PIN security.
WidgetLocker lets you add widgets to you lockscreen (I use it) and works fine, just be sure you disable the stock swipe screen otherwise you'll have to swipe widgetlocker, then samsung stock lockscreen, and finally enter your pin/pattern/password
I have pattern lock and it still doesn't show on the lock screen after swipe
Using Google Music or the Samsung music player?

That's if you don't have security on it. Someone preciously posted it was possible with security but its not working for me
Looks like Sammy forgot something. Ooops. :silly: I was looking for the same thing this afternoon at the pool.
I can't seem to get the Play/Pause hand motion feature to work. Initially I thought it may have been the player I was using (UberMusic), but no luck with the Samsung Music Player either.
Could this be a Touchwiz thing? It's still running in the background but I have Apex on top as my launcher.
It's a TWiz thing... Remember to have the screen on for it to work.

Well, if you all haven't noticed, the Samsung video player is ugly. The big buttons are annoying, and the grey blue theme is ugly. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the AOsP video player onto my S4. Thanks!
It is in the stock gallery app. Here ya go! https://www.dropbox.com/s/aapxe0711jqjv7w/GalleryGoogle.apk
