How does one record calls? What app is required? Thanks.
A call recording app from the market such as total call recorder. I haven't personally tried it but maybe it will work.

Yes
Actually 2-way call recording work just fine with my kernel, atleast with miui built-in call recording feature. Can hear my voice and the other party voice crisp clear.
When using stock voice recorder, which mic does it use? The one normally use in phone call or video call (top)?

I presume it use call MIC because if vr is busy in recording and call comes in than it stop recording.
You could record audio and speak into both mics saying "front mic" for the bottom and "rear mic" for th top mic. Then play the recording and figure out which one sounded louder...
Edit: its the bottom phone mic

I have a stock HTC DNA. I use "androrec call recorder" from the play store, mode 1. I hear myself excellently. The caller on the other side is a little quiet but acceptable. Free from play store.

anyone tried with a BT headset to see if both sides of a convo are being recorded?
Hi, is there any app that can record what's playing on phone's speaker? I have gone through many recording apps but they only record either calls or voice through microphone. None of them were able to record the speaker output/sound.??
