Is it possible to use the Nexus S 4G ICS and port it to our Evo 3D, more specifically Wimax?
no they dont use the same wimax keys/ports etc
What is holding us back from seeing 4g in our roms and kernels? Why does the og evo have 4g and not the 3d?

again cm7 has 4g on og evo because toast and shinzul worked on it and succesfully coded in wimax with specific ports and keys for the evo 4g they sort of need to do it all over again for the 3d
****ty. props for their work on the og. Let's hope they can pull it off for the 3vo.

So I've been debating on getting the 3d to replace my Nexus S 4g...Signal strength just sucks. Anyway, I'm not a fan of the 3ds cameras and 3d imagery. I've read that the Kingdom is pretty much gonna be a Cdma Sensation. No word on the release date, but I assume it's near due to it all the press it was getting. Anyone's thoughts? And yes I know this is the Evo 3d section, but there is not a Kingdom one yet....I already clicked search. Lol

Kingdom leak had it as a single core device if I remember correctly....

Right, the Kingdom is the soon to come: HTC Hero 4G, so no its not going to be like the Sensation or EVO+.
I doubted the 3D cameras and screen, 'till I got my phone...
it's got an awesome screen, and is stupid fast out of the box, and with the new OC mod by the SetCPU developer, it's only gonna get faster.
try it out at a store first, and see if you like it

Their saying that they "HOPE" it has a dual core processor, like the 3D. Their not saying it does have the dual core...

What are the chances of this phone getting Dev Support as much as the evo. I'm undecided between photon and EVO 3d. Photon seems like a better phone than EVO 3D

I know this seems like a noob question and i have looked over the forums and website but have had no luck in finding this out
Everyone keeps saying no because of the chinese dev, i guess they dont have 4g out there, but some guy said they shld be getting lte soon. One can only hope for 4g at this point.

LTE? No Wimax?
Yup lte, its all good cause sprints dumping wimax nd switching to lte , hopefully we get any progress to 4g that wld be the greatest, i had miui on my og evo and really missed having my 4g. Its just one sacrafice on having this badass rom.

I am honestly more concerned with the 3D aspect. I have some 3D games i purchased and would love to be able to use the feature that sets the phone apart. I guess its a sacrifice I will have to live with.
The EVO 4G been out for a year Wimax on cyanogen mod been out for 8-9 months, if they added it by now I doubt but who knows
from my shooter rocking myns ROM

i agree i love the hell outta this Rom but the 4g is kinda being a dealbreaker for me. I guess i will still flash this Rom sometimes but it wont be a daily driver for me. For daily drivers i guess il just have to stick to Synergy and CM7

I am quite concerned about that as well i read somewhere that they are working on the 3D. But not a word on 4G.

Does anyone know how to check for the Wimax RSA keys on the EVO 3D? The command grep RSA /dev/mtd/mtd0 doesn't work, nor does the wimax key checker app by joeykrim.
I can connect but I can't seem to get any data at all.
Are you in the boston area by chance? There is a 4g outage in the area and it will do exactly that. Connect to 4g but never pull any data down. There is thread in the general section regarding this issue. Best place to go to see the most up to date excuses given by sprint. Lol

Yea, I tested it out on the EVO 3D ..think the app is still sitting on my phone from testing, but never saw anybody lose their keys on the EVO 3D yet.
Also, seems the keys are not easily accessible, as they were on the EVO. I don't think we'll have any problems on the EVO 3D with WiMAX keys.
I usually am on the front lines for issues so I'll keep watching but 7 months so far and no wimax key issues is a good sign I figure!

Have others seen the EVO ad on tv? If so what do you think. Also it says 7 million people love EVO do you think that is og EVO sales or they managed to push out the new ones.... Or that 7 mill is for the total brand name so to speak.

Meh... Its was ok but nothing special.

During the NASCAR race today it was featured a couple times and once the Announcer called it the HTC EVO 4G Lite... uh yea...
Next time he got it right, but funny the stuff I see on tv...
Yeah it is some what of a Boring ad but I'm lost on the 7mil people I wonder if that's og evos sold.... Or whole EVO line or what.
