I use my tablet as an alarm clock, so it's on a digital clock-type display (the Night Clock app) overnight. Now when the screen is on something grey (say, the android market before the store loads), there's a cluster of...dark blocks across the left side of the screen. Did I break it? How do I fix it? =/ I didn't even know screens COULD ghost anymore!

2.2 has a much improved alarm clock. I know that the screen eventually blackens and shows a clock which moves every now and then.
I was wondering if its safe to leave the screen on all night? or would it kill/decrease the life of the LCD?
I do i fall asleep many of times with the screen on or music playing
It is barely noticable but it's definitely there. The icons show an alarm in the corner, but I don't even use an alarm on my phone. Any ideas?
Edit: Ok, it did not appear on screen capture, but it basically looks like a very, very faint image of my status bar at the top.

Hey
So there is this screen that's only visible of you got edge-notifications from your select contacts.
It's something like a pitch-black screen with just a big digital clock on the top left and the notification to pull in.
Is it possible to get this as a night clock or even have it shown all the time and this being the "off-state" of the screen?
Thx for checking

That is because the statusbar is almost always showing black(meaning screen is not being used) while the other parts start degrading. I had that on my galaxy s2. It's easily fixable. Just download amoled burn in fixer from play store and put the brightness on max and set it to show only the statusbar. It will burn the statusbar and make it degrade to match the rest of the screen that suffered degradation from being used. It worked perfectly for my s2. Don't be afraid to let it show only the statusbar for several hours. I think in total I left my s2 like 24 hours with that app(with intervals to check progress in the burn in)
Hello all, I am currently researching some new phone as my Lg G2 is failing. I thought I would explain the issue though incase its something that could be fixed. The issue started the other day when my phone kept activating in my pocket even with screen lock on. When I try to use my phone the screen would randomly change to a clock face with a small lock symbol in the bottom right of the clock . This clock would be on the top of the screen and the screen would only respond to touch inside the clock image. It would not unlock when swiping. Also while this clock is on my screen if I received a incomming call the clock would be replace with the normal accept or decline screen while shrunk in this small box the clock occupied. It would let me swipe accept call and talk.
I could not google this issue, anyone seen this before?
Thanks.
Wanted to add, I also reset phone back to factory settings and it didnt fix it.
