I got to the "Make yourself at home" screen and the phone seems unresponsive, blocked, the touchscreen doesn't respond. Latest nAa kernel, factory reset before flash.

- hardware decoder (80%) it's only a bit slow
- sdcard mounting to pc (thanks tristan)

been playing aroud fo 10 minutes now and loving it, the boot animation is cool the theme and lockscreen amazing, thankyou so much for all your hard work.
To confirm my Hspa is woking fine after crash system server.

I have decided to post this fix as a separated thread because the gigglebread thread is growing incredibly fast and the reference to it gets lost in one or two days after being published.
When GB was at v5, I wrote this post on its thread, to offer to the community a fix that I've created to my device, because I realized that my pain could be the pain of others.
Well, that fix does not works on v8, it puts the system in a infinite boot loop. Therefore I rolled up my sleeves again to update it. And here it comes the updated version. Enjoy while it's hot.

To install the fix, just copy it to your sdcard and install it via xRecovery. Please take into account that this comes with no warranty at all, is provided *AS IS*, and I don't want to be responsible should anyone damage a device, loose data, etc, trying to install this package. I only tested it on my phone (where it worked like a charm) therefore I can't guarantee that it will work on other setups as well.
If you like this fix, please click on "Thanks" and feel free to send some bucks to finance some Duvels, Karmeliets or Guiness
EDIT: I've just added a tweak to the "Rotary Selector" to keep it from being in front of the "Calling Card" when an incoming call is received. Therefore now there's 3 zip attached to this post: One that has the 2 fixes and another one for each fix. You can figure out which is which by their names, which are pretty straight forward.

or that But I suppose that it would need some rewriting, as the old fix (released for v5) didn't work with v8... And it's just a cosmetic fix As far as I know Owains highest prioritys with this rom are FM and some bugfixes on apps not working...

light work also keyboard light BUT its reversed keyboard open no light keyboard closed light is there, same goes for screen orientation.
GSM not asking for pin but search for providers works,
wlan is buggy got it working one time not since then
bluetooth nbot working
audio not working.
perfectly working:
screen, touchinput is ok when booted with keyboard open
no fcs
switch to english input method chinese is default

Sorry I didn;t mention.. the camera ws not workign since few libs are nto compiled.. you have to use that or you can use the other one which has few more governers..+camera libs also you need to flash the camera fix zip mentioned in the first post

This is one of the main problems...
"Second" problem.
You need DEEPest experience in AMSS/Qualcomm related stuff...
I think the second problem is much much harder...
Otherwise you would work as RF engineer for mobile companies... with full access to all documents + tools...

It would be really nice if I could do something but there are just so less information about everything. I never worked with smartphones yet, but I am sure it is not more complicated like working with computers.

agree with you roms without modem are useless
btw devloper (rebellos) is working on it so appreciae the hard work of devlopers so lets just hope devlopers make rom with working modem asap and lets just wait till then rather than making threads about not working modem and use bada instead if u want modem so badly u can get in it.
For call it would be good step... to activate Microphone...
Maybe before crying more about MODEM and it is sooo easy... everbody can create their own handset OS...

Yes, I am working on modem now, and Rebellos help me a lot , when he has free time.
We have some progress with RIL:
- entering and verification sim pin code
- mobile operator identification
- incoming call notification (with phone number )
- incoming call answering, but audio is not working at all during call, because need to implement sound and mic packets handling in RIL
- incoming call hangup (reject)
Still have no any progress with incoming sms
But it is on very early stage, so too many bugs
all updates are available on my github: https://github.com/Volk204/bada-modemril/commits/experimental
Please don't share any compiled binaries with latest RIL version

Microphone driver is part of modem driver, and it is not implemented at all, so it doesn't matter in headsets or in phone

rebellos is releasing the roms here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1851818
so just wait till next release and so on. if you like (wave 1 user) use tigrouzens roms (sd card installed and more ram kernel, but your sd must be 2gb min, i recommend 4 or higher)
