I'm trying to get a grasp of what this means. Are all Tegrapart 1100's international or are some actual AT&T only? I have an Atrix that I bought directly from AT&T and I use it on their network, but it shows a Tegrapart 1100. Any rom other than stock gives me wifi problems. I've searched for this, and everyone knows how to find their part number, but the explanations are a little vague. Is there a link I missed that can explain all of this in detail?
I've got GingerMod 2.3.6 #4 on my Atrix 4G installed. with tegrapart 1100. it works just fine. No wifi problems whatsoever.
+1 somewhat confused myself as I saw a post a day or so ago about flashing either tegra 1100 or d100 I believe the choices where only gave them for orange network though

i have d100 att us

But does anyone know if you have to flash based on your tegrapart if you have an AT&T phone and use AT&T based roms? Do we use the Orange network flash or will that screw up our phones? There seems to be just enough information about it to allow us to really screw things up. I'm hesitant, but I'm gonna flash the Orange boot.img anyway and see what happens. Hopefully if it doesn't work, I can flash back.
Tegra part is old news, it used to matter but everything is universal.
All att phones are 1100 I believe but international can be one of two, it has to do with kernels not roms
sent from my Atrix via XDA premium
Apparently you didn't read the post that is 2 above yours. I have an 1100 on ATT, and another has D00 on ATT. How can this be old news if no one seems to truly understand it. If you do, please enlighten us all. I for one, love to learn new things everyday.
Just checked my AT&T Atrix that I got on December 22nd (replaced my original one). I get tegrapart of 1100 as well.
I am running Darkside, but haven't noticed any radio issues nor have I downloaded anything special for that tegrapart (like is mentioned on Gingermod).
I'm on Darkside the version before the prefinal, and my wifi drops. My tegrapart is 1100 . I bought my phone at att in new york.
Could the tegrapart be whats causing the wifi drops? if yes what should I do ? Also what's with the ram fix and should I do it. I search and can't find straight answers or get a little confused.
If somebody tells me where i can find my tegra part i would check it.
And i have the same problem like cecesone. With Wet Dream and Dark Side i have several wifi drops.
My phone ist dach retail.

Check your device tegrapaart on this path "proc/cmdline" with a root explorer or terminal.
Mine is a Telcel (México) and is D00
I updated it from 2.2.something to the Orange FR 2.3.4
Right now, I'm just on the hunt for best ROM for my webtop, really. Gingermod looked pretty good, even if the dev was temporarily banned...
...I just don't understand this Tegrapart stuff, either. I checked which tegrapart I had with cat /proc/cmdline, and it returned "tegrapart=mbr:1100:110:800"
So I guess I have tegrapart 1100, but what exactly does that mean? I got my Atrix 4G from AT&T in the States, but Evogp put my tegrapart under "Atrix International".
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400023&highlight=tegrapart+1100
I got some serious blue balls for a cool ubuntu mod within my webtop mode ever since my webtop came in the mail. x_x I just don't want to ruin my device because I installed the wrong kernel or something.
I'm still fairly inexperienced with this stuff, even if I did get my bootloader unlocked and got romracer recovery on it. I'm currently running Neutrino EE v2.2, but if the webtop will work with Gingermod, I'm definitely going to have to switch.
OH YEAH!
And if it turns out that I do need to install the tegrapart 1100 kernel, I'm going to need a link from somebody, the one on Evogp's thread is dead. Thanks!

Hey guys/devs. I have been looking around and it does not look like there are any roms or kernals for the verizon 4g gtab 10.1. Also seems like there was only one link to the root file scattared across the world wide web and it is a broken link. If any one has the file or a different link that would be awesome. Also I would love to see some roms and kernals for this thing. Hope someone can help out I know that I am not the only one awaiting some dev to step up to the plate.
Thanks guys!!!
There must be a reason. The reasons I am hearing are:
1) LTE Tab isnt selling that well and consequently the dev community isn't working on the LTE Tab (I don't think this is the case, the guy that sold me mine sold 7 that day. Yes, I asked)
2) Honeycomb is closed source and it is more difficult for the dev community to produce roms (again I don't really buy this. There are a relatively substantial amount of roms and kernels available for all of the other versions of the GT)
3) There are differences in hardware/software that make the LTE GT more difficult to work on. (I can attest to this not being true because I am typing this now on a LTE GT running the Wi-Fi GT version of Starburst Rom. It definitely took some tweaking to get it running, but it runs. That being said I obviously have no 4g/3g radio. Maybe someone is stuck on that part.)
I saw a post from the developer of Starburst Rom saying he would try for an LTE version. Let's hope so because I shelled out extra money for the LTE version which is serving no purpose right now.
any unlock for Verizon 4g to use out side U.S?
or way to convert it to 3g ?
I'm waiting you...
locked tab
the lte version galaxy tab 10.1 can receive 3g data connections as well as 4g when there isnt a 4g available in the area you just receive 3g. I doubt it would ever be unlocked because the bootloader is locked on the lte version galaxy tab
Thanks

There is a kernel available for this, I have it installed on my Verizon LTE Galaxy Tab it is Pershoots latest for the SCH-I905 and can be found here:

My problem (I think) is because I am running a rom that was designed for the wi-fi only version. I have an LTE kernel but the rom seems to still have no access to radio. I am really hoping someone finds the stock rom or someone tweaks a different rom to allow access to the LTE radio.
FYI, if you are rooted and using AnyConnect VPN for work, then the Kernal by Pershoots will break this.
I just flashed his kernal last night and overclocked with no issues. Then of course this morning I get a phone call that internet went down at a site. When I got there I tried to fire up VPN to get back to my main site, and it failed to load the tun.ko module Luckily I was able to flash the stock one back, and then AnyConnect started working.
I would love to be able to be overclocked, but I need AnyConnect to work.
I really miss my Xoom

I'm new to the tab world. I also have a Verizon Galaxy LTE tab. Did you root before you flashed this kernel? What rom are you using?
Ive rooted and have been running custom roms. I guess this question is aimed towards our american friends. Is the update worth it? Or are the custom roms available better and the emergance of cm7?
Sent from my MB860 using xda premium
Roms are better than the 2.3.4 update from Motorola. The best ROM is cm7. But the best everything working ROM in my opinion is Alien ROM which includes webtop and HDMI.
Sent from my Atrix XDA Premium App
We may really tell only when the update is out. I once read that Motorola is delaying Gingerbread for Europe because many modifications are needed. It seems that Atrix and Atrix 4G do really have differences.
I needed to install many tweaks for making Alien #4 perform well on my European, retail Atrix (1bar bug for 3G, A-GPS, a custom kernel, ..).
Moreover, radios out there are not suited for "Euro - retail" Atrix (not 4G) running custom Gingerbread ROMs. I found that the best radios for Italy (I suppose for Europe, too) are still N_01.95.00R (the one that comes with retail Atrix, designed for Froyo) and N_01.100.00R (Orange FR radio). The first performs better in terms of battery life, the second has great connectivity. Substitute N_01.95.00R with the radio that came with your Atrix, in case.
I tried N_01.100.00R but decided to switch back to N_01.95.00R. Currently I am using Cyanogenmod because it is the ROM less built around a specific carrier. I'm quite happy with that.
Probably, the best combination will be to use the radios that Motorola will release for European customers when GB is out here plus Cyanogenmod.
Hope that this helps clarifying.
Thanks. I have seen issues with the custom roms. Mainly lacking in signal when i know i usually have a full signal. How would you flash a radio on atrix...via sbf or is there flashable roms?

you can do it both ways, they exist in SBF form and .zip
there is also a one bar fix that you may want to try, search for it in the dev section
Just a thought: I ended up rooting and installing CM7 within a couple of weeks of buying my Atrix. If you're not bothered about fingerprint scanner and webtop then I think it is a lot better than stock Froyo in terms of performance.
Of course, now Gingerbread is looking like it will be on European phones officially "soon" but think about it: when you've just installed gingerbread with that motoblur overlay, CM9 based on ICS will probably be making its way to devices and aren't you going to be real jealous?!
Come on, you'll probably end up with Cyanogenmod at some point so why not take the plunge now? I honestly believe if you follow the instructions and get everything installed correctly, you won't be disappointed... just happy in the knowledge you'll always be on the path to the next upgrade!

As already posted both possibilities exist. I see from your avatar that you are a Linux user like me. Then beware that, if you will use sbf_flash for flashing sbf, never flash a radio that comes as a CWM file. sbf_flash will never overwrite it then and you will need to use Windows and RSD-Lite.
See more on a previous question posted by me. It started as a question on how to revert back to Froyo after Gingerbread update, but a very helpful user also told me about flashing radios, creating sbf radios/roms and about the sbf_flash bug
I can give or take cm7 yeah its awesome. But still too buggy. And unfortunately i hate the look of stock android. My signal is half what it should be.
So i have restored the original stock rom via cwm. Never realised how good the battery was. Heavy usage involving sat nav. Loads of wifi including facebook, market, xda and a few phone calls. 15 hours off charge and still 70%!!
Im waiting for the ota. Then maybe things may run smoother in regards radios and so on with other roms.

I too am waiting on the official Gingerbread update for my UK Orange Atrix and fingers crossed, should be coming within the next week or two (Mid November has been quoted)
I'm still on Stock 2.2 having only had the Atrix for 1 week but am already feeling the custom Rom pull.
I guess it would be best to play with the official Gingerbread Rom for a week or two (when it comes haha) and if it's lacking then hit the custom's then - that's my plan anyways

I installed it, the sbf for my Atrix was posted three days ago in the Firmwares Superthread. It is amazing.
It comes with N_01.100.00R radio, that perfectly works with this ROM. Great 3G connectivity, great WiFi stability, GPS gets the signal in a bunch of seconds and battery life is great: after 07hrs and 30minutes of light usage (3G on, Gmail + Twitter on and sporadic Internet browsing), the battery level is still between 90% and 80%. Best ROM I've ever used.
so have you installed the OTA gingerbread?

Many thanks in advance!

updating to gingerbread does not make it unrootable it just means you need to use a different method,
you can flash with RSD if you want to try out some other builds though, just do some reading first and figure out how to fix it if you get a soft brick

The Gingerbread OTA will lock the bootloader and probably install the malicious bootloader. We don't have info about the European OTA and the contained bootloader, so we assume that it is the same as the one contained in the USA OTA.
Therefore, I did not wait for the OTA. I indirectly installed the SBF mentioned before (it corresponds to the one I would have gotten with the OTA).
"Indirectly" means that I converted the SBF into moto-fastboot images and the radio into a radio-SBF image.
In this way I have the old, unlocked and not dangerous bootloader plus the new system, webtop and radio. It is safer in this way.

Yes but first unlock the bootloader, then try the UK retail but don't flash the SBF! You should convert it to moto-fastboot images (plus the SBF-radio) and install them. It should work well in France, but try it by yourself

Regarding update to Gingerbread:
Never install the Gingerbread OTA if you want to hack your phone and you don't have experience doing it. The OTA may contain a malicious bootloader that hinders further hacking. Quite sure it contains it. For sure, if you install the GB OTA and flash a Froyo sbf, it will brick the phone. It is still possible to install custom ROMs after the GB OTA, but it is better to manually update your phone instead of doing the OTA.
I am not sure about what happens if you just flash the original Motorola Gingerbread over your official Motorola Froyo. Fur sure it will work but I think that it will install the malicious bootloader
Rooting is always possible, it will never brick your device. Since you're a beginner, give a read to the beginners guide. It also contains rooting/unlocking instructions

Hey guys,
I've been working all night to try and fix an issue I had with Cyanogen Mod. I couldn't get the GPS to work with the radio I had. So I tried flashing MR3 and I still had no GPS but had 3G / 4G / WiFi connectivity. Going back to MR2 restored GPS but I couldn't maintain data and only had 1X / WiFi.
I've messed with countless radio updates and ROMs trying to get this running again. Going to post my phone's stats:
ROM Current: BAMF Forever 1.0.5
Android Version: 2.3.4
HTC Sense Version: 3.0
Software Number: 2.11.605.0
Kernel: 2.6.35.10-ge8d3693 [email protected]
Baseband version: 1.39.00.0627r, 0.01.69.0625r
I need you guys to link me to a ROM, the more light weight the better, that has 3G / 4G, GPS, and WiFi (with tethering). That's all I require =)
If I need a specific radio, a link to that would be great. Thanks a lot.
It's not the ROM...
VZW's LTE is spotty in and out in some areas. I noticed mine first thing this morning...
There are other threads on other forums about it.

I laugh at how they state that 3G is working fine, while LTE isnt.
I can hardly even get 1x again.
Word is if you make a phone call you can get 3g back afterwards. Worked on the wife's bolt. Worth a shot at least

I think you're right unfortunately. I wait 3 months to try and fix my GPS and the one night I try it, Verizon's entire data network is taking a crap.
I just assumed that the 1X was a radio issue. I now have 4G connectivity but it's definitely slower than it should be. About 1.4Mbps. My buddy right next to me clocked 10.4Mbps on his brand new Nexus...
I'd still love to get a recommendation on a ROM and Radio version to run. I hate this BAMF ROM.
Different ROMs and different radios will have minimal impact on 4g speeds, if that's your reason for wanting something different.

LTE came back up in SE Michigan about 2 hours or so ago.
Upon reading the OP's next post, I tested my speed via the SpeakEasy Website's speed test, as I always do.
I don't know whether to **** or go blind, but inside my office just now I hit 22MB down and 4.5 up with 2 bars (out of 4)...I've never gotten more than 12 inside the office down...
Could be that no one is on it...could be a fluke, etc.
BAMF makes quality ROMs. I would bet it's not the ROM or the radio.
I've been using the latest radio leak found here in the developer thread.
I'm sure you already know this...but it's flashed in Bootloader, not recovery.

You're right. My problem is there's too many and I'm tired of looking haha. I just wanted to flash a known good ROM and radio and get this over with. Tired of tampering with my phone.
New update:
I just flashed MIUI from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1172235
and the MR3 radio from:
http://www.thunderboltforums.com/fo...151-rs-approved-guide-thunderbolt-radios.html
It's clear from the screenshot provided on the MIUI thread that the dev is using the MR3 radio which is why I chose to flash that.
But now my GPS doesn't work? Holy crap this is getting so annoying. Either my GPS works or my 4G works, I can't have both -_-
I'm trying to get my post count up without spamming the boards so I can post in the development section ;x

Sup all,
I am somewhat familiar with rooting. I rooted several tmobile g2's in the past and loaded them with CM7 and what not. However, I am having some trouble with my Tmobile Vibrant.
I recently got my phone back from samsung and it has gingerbread 2.3.6 on it. I was just wondering, how i could root the phone and flash ICS roms? All the guides i have seen are for 2.2 or 2.1 and I really dont want to brick my phone again. I don't know why working with my vibrant has been so frustrating but i would really just like to know what to do step by step.
Thanks for reading and for any help you guys provide, I really appreciate it.
Umm, I would be very interested to know what your "About Phone" says (since you can't get a copy of the build.prop w/o being rooted). Especially the model number, ROM description and Kernel. Samsung does not have an "official" GB ROM running for the Vibrant. The GB ROMs that we have are mainly ports and kangs and have and will never come from Sammy.
I would suggest you make sure you have a T959 and not another model and also double check the above before you do anything. Once you do that, come back and let us know and we will help you further. But until then, I would say you run a risk of screwing it up if it is the wrong model number and try to flash a T959 ROM on a T959v or I-9000 phone.
I'm betting you have a galaxy s 4g (aka t959v). This is now the wrong forum for you to be looking in, since we are the vibrant section.

Probably have better luck figuring it out in the Vibrant 4g forums.
Hey guys. Little new to the TBolt crew here.
I've been rooting for a bit. Did an HTC Hero, a DROID Eric, an Incredible... Now I've got a TBolt sitting here that I just rooted about an hour ago. It was running 4G just fine both before and after the root, but after installing a CM7 ROM (SFK's to be precise) I haven't seen 4G pop up since. I've tried a couple other CM7 roms, but nothing seems to make a difference - it only runs on 3G.
I was thinking it might be a radio problem, but admittedly I'm pretty novice with this stuff. I just flash what sounds interesting, and if it's not as stable as I'd like I find something else to flash. Does anyone have any ideas what's wrong? And what I can download to fix it?
EDIT: After giving up and deciding to go back to my backup of "stock" that I'd just made... now it's failing to properly back up. This wonderful error about data being corrupted with the only button available being "I'm Feeling Lucky" and still no 4G, only 3G. Now I'm at a complete loss.
I have a Nexus sitting next to me clearly connected to 4G just fine, so I know it's not a network issue. What the heck is going on here?
I'm sure you have, but never know... have you checked your wireless network settings?
Settings--Wireless & Networks--Mobile Networks--Network Mode.
Make sure LTE/CDMA is selected.

most roms are built with a specific radio in mind i would try to flash one of the newer radios they work better drain less battery and are more compatible with rooted roms.
