Low haptic feedback - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey guys...I have a strange situation here..I used cm9 for couple of day with allright haptic feedback. I reverted(backup) with CWM to my initial 2.3.5 firmware and now I have Haptic Vibration Feedback issue. Now, I installed the stock firmware with ODIN. I still got the Issue..Tried wipe cache...data/user everything.
Thanks for helping.

Go to Settings -> Sound, make sure Haptic Feedback is checked on and Vibration intensity is properly set (at the biggest point).

Thanks for your advice, but it`s obvious that i checked that cuz I get low vibration when writing on the keyboard or pressing the buttons.
When I move the Vibration intensity scroll I get the good feedback but after pressing oke...I get the low vibration again.

Change vibration intensity?

Hello
I have had my phone for a few months now, and until a couple of days ago the intensity of vibrations for alarms and text/call alerts has been very good. However suddenly it has dropped very low. Now I can't feel texts at all, and I can no longer use my phone as a vibrating alarm.
Could someone help me please?

That's for Haptic Feedback ! Jeez.
Thanks Bruflot, that affects all my vibrations.
I know this thread is older, but it also depends on the ROM
e.g. in AOKP you can find vibration intensity under System Settings - Device Options - Haptic

[Q] Haptic Feedback

I just noticed that there is no haptic feedback on the two capacitive touch buttons. Also, there is no haptic feedback when you open the screen previews, add a widget, etc. I wonder if there is haptic feedback on this device. I couldn't find where to enable this option.
What device do you have? The 4.0 and 5.0 both have three buttons. And they both have haptic feedback.
I have the 5.0. I don't have the haptic feedback for the menu and back buttons.

Only the USA versions have three capacitive buttons. Look at the guy's country - he's got an International version with two capacitive buttons and a mechanical Home key.
And I don't know which device you have (4.0?) , but the USA 5.0 is missing haptic feedback for menu/home/back touchkeys.
Might be fixable with a change to the keylayout file - or possibly some hacks in the Settings smali. For me, trying to get statusbar-swipe-brightness working is higher priority, but that's proving to be a pain in the ass. Smali makes my head hurt.
Hi. I'm bumping this thread.
I got my international version YP-G70 yesterday and it came with 2.2.2 (froyo).
The haptic feedback and vibration in general worked well.
I upgraded via Kies to 2.3.5 (gingebread) and the haptic feedback was gone. Alse there was no way to enable it under Settings/Sound.
So i flashed the Eryigit 2.3.6 custom rom and hoped the issue would be resolved, but sadly no. In the sound settings there is an option to enable/disable haptic feedback but it doesn't make any difference.
I feel the vibration motor behaves a bitt sluggisk too compared to 2.2.2.
Does anyone have some sort of workaround/solution to this?

[Q] Haptic Feedback and Lock sounds/Audible Selection

I don't know why this has happened but even though I have the options for haptic feedback, audible selection and lock screen sounds all enabled in "Sound" settings, none of them do anything. I'm using Wolf's latest ROM and I recall them working when I first installed. Is there anything I can do to make these options work again?
Thanks

Haptic feedback stopped working

Hi guys, my s3's haptic feedback stopped working all of a sudden and I don't know what is wrong with it. I checked sound settings and advanced settings and haptic feedback appears enabled. I'm running aokp 40 and siyah 1.2.6. I'm hoping that it is not a hardware issue. Has anyone had any experience with Samsung rma before (I'm using an international unit bought from clove and I live in Canada)? Or is there a vibration seeing that i have not checked yet or something? Thanks.

I know this answer may be too late for you, but for other people...
I had this same issue recently. Haptic feedback was ON in sound settings but still no joy when touching menu buttons.
Turns out my phones 'Power Saving mode' was ON.
If you go into Power Saving mode you'll see that one of its ways of saving your battery is to turn off haptic feedback.
Just so the phone can confuse you though it wont turn it off from the settings in sound, it will just turn it off and still appear 'on' in sound settings!
Hope this helps.
THANK YOU!

You for real solved an ongoing 4 day issue for me on my stock Galaxy Note2! Lol I didn't know that the power save ended up being on.
Thank you for actually posting in case others ran into it!

Disabling Haptic Feedback Completely

Hi All,
Is there a way to disable *all* vibrations in the NeatRom(4.1.2)?
I mean also the vibration when long holding an icon on the screen to move it, answering a call, dismissing alarm... (all vibrations)
The haptic feedback is disabled but the phone still vibrates under certain conditions as mentioned above.
I upgraded stock rom from 4.0.3 to 4.1.2 and had the same problem as rs1982 (the phone vibrates when I long press in apps). I've tried many stock based/cm roms, kernels to no avail. I can change vibration intensity to 0 in CM10.1 (the only rom+kernel combination that can change intensity) but then it won't vibrate in silent mode (when there's a call/sms/notification). I do hope there's a way to completely disable haptic feedback.
