Beam requires an NFC chip, I'm pretty sure the Prime doesn't have one.
I no longer have the option to close out running applications.
Now they just pile up and don't provide an "X" to close them.
This will just hog up system resources.
Still no functionality for the lower portion of the mouse pad. A simple left-click would at least allow for easier attempt at selecting text in a text box.

Remember ics is swype now, open recent apps and slide the app left or right and it will close the app

Face unlock seems to be a galaxy nexus feature now more than ICS. even my nexus s that runs on Ics, never got the face unlock
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk
I was looking thru the apps disabling what I could in the settings and I see that Face Unlock is in there it lets you force close it and disable it. Its version 4.0.3-239410 and says its 64KB not sure if thats the full app or maybe something that will get added in later. Maybe we just need to find a way to enable it?
Perhaps the front facing camera is not up to spec hence the upgrade this summer?
And, hit the X below the notifications to close all of them at once. That's a welcome addition.

I'm working on a ICS stock browser enhancement for ICS phones, but now ICS is also available on the tablet I like to make some adjustments for it too.
The browser can be downloaded here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.beansoft.browserplus
Features implemented yet that are relevant for the tablet also:
+ setting of the User Agent string is implemented in tablet mode. (When setting the ua string to "desktop" notice that one always can request a mobile version of a page by unchecking the option request desktop site)
+ home button on the action bar
+ gestures: swipe left and right to do certain user definable actions
I will work heavily on the browser in the near future. Any suggestions, requests (concerning the tablet mode) etc are highly appreciated.
Nice app, liking it so far
Requests for the future:
a dedicated home button would be awesome
a speed dial type home page option (like opera)

Like the speed dial home page idea. Btw do you mean a dedicated home button in the quick controls?
I second the home button, I think he meant a button near the back and reload buttons up top
yea i mean by the back controls and stuff at the top

Its already possible at the moment:
"possibility to set the User Agent string . "
Taken from the market text. I use this on my DHD on ICS beta and its pretty handy.
*feature request*
maybe having a dedicated settings page could be handy.
Something like what dolphin does, could be pretty useful.
ok heres another request:
An option to specify what folder downloads go to.

Good one! The home button is implemented in the latest version. I also added gesture support. Very comfortable on a tablet.

how do you pay for the "pro" version?
also, are we still going to get text reflow on zoom, double tap and pinch? because if i have Auto-fit Pages (in advanced options) selected, it is autofit for zoom already even if i haven't zoomed in. it doesn't ever change. if it is not selected, then it is fill for the full screen view but never reflows whether i pinch or double tap. I can't find or change anything in the settings to change this. it either is formated for the zoomed in version, or formated for the zoomed out version, but not depending on zoom.
Thanks you for this app, not having an option to set all webpages to the Desktop version was really irritating. I also like the addition of the home screen button and basic gestures!
Any way to get settings that you change in the debuging menu to stick. When the browser is closed, they rest until you open the debugging menu again. I prefer to disable the "use wide viewing" setting but hate having to continue to enter "about:debug" just to get it to work everytime I open the browser.

Love this browser, i've been using it since the update. One suggestion though.
When you go to menu via quick controls, you get the very low res yellow circle indicator. It kinda bothers me and i hope you can just make the selection highlighted with the ics colors.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the keyboard tray icon? I'm tired of accidentally bumping it when I start typing too fast. Seems like it would be an android system option but no option to hide it.

Has an option to remove the notification (if I correctly understand your question)
I might have to try that out. I've done well without rooting my prime so far but this might convince me otherwise. I might still wait for the bootloader unlock tool first. Thanks for the advice.

This notification only shows up when there's more then one keyboard installed. And since there IS more then one keyboard installed (the stock Android one and the ASUS keyboard) it will always show up. So the only option get rid of it is to uninstall the stock Android keyboard (you don't want uninstall the ASUS keyboard unless you don't own the keyboard dock).
Gotcha, well that sucks. Personally i prefer thumb keyboard but I don't think i'll go through the hassel of removing the others. Could come with future complications if I do that. I just dont understand the necessity for the taskbar icon. You can just as easily go into settings and change it.

+1 for Thumb Keyboard. Let me give you a tip for something that works even better than my normal desktop.
Thumb Keyboard has a button that looks like a thumbtack that opens up a list of editable "Quick Text" buttons you can edit. At the top I have my name, various logins, and email addresses. If you *scroll* to the very bottom you see something I've labeled "pw". Whenever I need to login in to anything it goes: Thumbtack button --> login --> tab (directly below the thumbtack button) --> thumbtack --> scroll to bottom --> password --> Enter. It seriously takes me 2 seconds to log into anything. It's awesome. Granted, I've encrypted my Prime and have a Lock Password set, so I'm not too worried about the security.
That's just one use of Thumb Keyboard though. It's super customisable, much moreso than SwiftKey (which I use on my phone), and has word-but-not-sentence prediction. I type much faster using it than I do with my phone.

Discovered i don't need swype. The stock Asus keyboard has its own implementation that's just as good, if not better!
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using xda premium
When not using the dock, I prefer to use Thumb Keyboard from the market for the on-screen keyboard. The problem is when I dock the tablet, the keyboard stays on Thumb Keyboard, which uses the US keyboard layout which is a bit of a problem since my Prime is the UK model. The keyboard layout differs slightly which is not a huge problem but it does get a bit annoying.
I can manually change the keyboard back to the Asus keyboard but that seems to be an extra step in something that should be automated. Does anyone know if there is an app or a setting that tells the tablet to change keyboard automatically when you dock or undock the keyboard? Thanks!
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk
I believe there is an application for that, but I don't remember it's name unfortunately. It might require root too.
I'm also using thumb keyboard, but I haven't found any inconsistencies yet, could you point them out to me?
As for fixing your issue, you could try the ' alternative/international keyboards' setting
The only one I have found so far are @ and " being switched around. (shift+2 is @ on US keyboard, " in UK) There might be more but I haven't really tested them out. Anyway I tried looking at the international keyboard settings but there seems to be no way to change to the UK layout; there's just one QWERTY keyboard.

i just did the other day using viperboys method, it was done in less than 10 minutes with NO hassle. HIHGLY recommend it. i pretty much did it for this app, which USED to be paid. for w/e reason, dev made free... and im glad!
my only possibly objection to KBM, it places a notification in the bottom right. i just hate notifications. i try to clear em asap. but, same goes for external sds... so i guess we just deal with it lol...
Lol. I know lots of people get annoyed by notification icons but I'm pretty cool with them so it should be alright. Thanks for the tip on the rooting method.

ya i know but leaving a notification makes it more of a persistent app. i use swipepad on my phone with notification persistence but the dev made it possible to make the notification icon transparent. this should be in ALL notification icons imho!
It has S-Note (ability to record your self in app with audio and replay)
S-Memo improvements
S-Pen settings have some features added in.
Browser is definitely improved.
ATT Messages app preinstalled. Sorta.
Voice Talk super responsive!
S-pen still not calibrated just right but better.
Rotation more responsive.
New sounds.
Used allshare to stream my own movies to my mac via XMBC (Success!).
Screen only activates facelock when you manually lock the device, otherwise its just a swipe lock.
Update. 4G is way stronger and faster.
couldn't find any more right now.
SMS send button corrected

Camera seems quicker and the preview after shooting no longer has the laggy animation.

I've tried and tried to no avail as far as using my palm to get a screenshot. Is it maybe because I'm using ICS perfection based on the newest build?
EDIT: I didn't realize your palm has to touch the screen. Silly me it works flawless. Its actually the quickest way to achieve a screenshot

Is it my imagination:
The android keyboard is less forgiving?
I have way more typing errors than with previous bases.
The gallery looks blurry?
My eyes aren't what they used to be, but . . .
still could use more work
As with the previous leaks some of the issues were not addressed. Basically some will find this leak pleasant and others such as myself not worth the hassle (returning once again back to stock). I quess it all depends on how one uses their phones. For me the task manager (jobmanager.apk) is a must, task manager must be used repeatedly to accomplish anything. Next Bluetooth works, however when using it with Pandora and programs via data I lose the ability to control music using headset (some functions work others don't). Trying to connect to a call via Bluetooth during audio playback in news or Pandora is more trouble than its worth. Tap to zoom while viewing pages over zooms not to big an issue but prefer to have it zoom and fit the screen. Last but not least, I still think the note has the worst call quality of any phone I've ever used was hoping a ROM or update would fix this, of course this is my opinion here. I will give the browser one thumbs up (the other hand is being used to display a middle finger to this leak) it far surpasses the previous stock browser, I'm not a fan of the checkerboard effect. I haven't used this leak long enough to find any other problems.

I'm glad to see that the keyboard problem wasn't just me. I felt like Homer Simpson trying to type. Not only was it generating a lot of typos but it also seemed like the auto-correct was acting like a drunk Marine... way too aggressive and usually wrong. The strange part is that I encountered the exact same problem with the android keyboard, the samsung keyboard, ICS keyboard, A.I. Type, and Swype. Swiftkey has acted fairly good for me though. I imagine there has to be some component, related to autocorrect, that all of the other keyboards share but Swiftkey doesn't.
I seems that the hidden menu:
*#*#4636#*#*
is not working anymore. I think this is a new issue, before this was always working.
I also don't like too much this new keyboard ... too many typos.
So is it the way the screen reads your fingertips, or is the dictionary a suck-hole?
