so..am i buy LG OPTIMUS 2X better or MOTOROLA ATRIX better?
i read a lot of article and comparison between this two phone, every test optimus 2x also be the top,but the atrix have 1gb RAM compare to 512 optimus 2x,how could it still slower than a 512 ram phone?and, they said, high resolution make the gaming experience slower as processor need to do more work,so..is there really noticeable in real performance?
I think you should go for atrix if you don't care about Radio and camera
(5 MP)
i dont care about that, but any reason u suggest for atrix?
in the test,it slower than 2x
i would suggest 2x since it has an unlocked bootloader whereas you need to unlock atrix's bootloader...
also, 2x has better community support than atrix...

can anyone kindly explain and suggest me whether which phone should i buy?
im thinking between google nexus with 1ghz single core, galaxy s plus with 1.4ghz single core and lg optimus 2x with 1ghz dual core
which one have a really good in real experience?
lg optimus 2x
Anyone have any insight between these two phones? They have the same size screen, both quad core.. Mainly what I'm mostly concerned about is media consumption. Which will give better audio performance?
Thx

Don't assume because they are similarly spec'd they will get the same performance from their quad cores...
Unfortunately I don't know anything about the DAC on the LGOG

This has been said many times the Tegra 3 in the HTC only supports single channel memory, only comes with one gig and it's based on A9 architecture. The LG has two gigs of dual channel memory and based on A15 tech also 20 nm

Yeah, 28nm transistors on the lgog vs 40nm on the one x plus is a big deal. There are no 20nm chips in production, the closest is 22nm nand flash modules from Intel and Toshiba.

Yeah I was half asleep when I wrote that and had just been reading that story about Samsungs new 20 an 10nm ram chips But still 28nm should be allot more efficient than 40nm and the dual channel ram with double the amount is a huge difference in speed.
Its actually 22 vs 40. Overall the LGOG would seem like the superior phone in terms if gaming/media capability. But honestly your posting in an LG optimus g thread..everyone here pretty much picked this phone out of all the others. .going to be pretty one sided. Comes down to personal preference. Take a chance. Both phones are great and if you are un happy you always have the buyers remorse period.

No, its 28 vs 40. No mobile SoCs are currently 22nm.
Yeah, as a general rule if I say something regarding chip lithography you can take it as truth. I've been an integrated circuit nerd since third grade

I don't know about best performance, but I plan on picking up the LGOG today, despite the beauty of the One X+, mainly due to the larger storage capacity available through the microSD slot. The One X+ doesn't have one, and I already have a spare 64GB microSD, so that made the decision easy for me.
I picked mine up today. I've never seen a fast stock rom. This thing is nuts. I have one bright pixel so I'm going back to best buy to swap it out in the morning.
I was having this debate with myself just recently, until I unlocked the phone's bootloader with the "projectFreeGee" method and now I'm a happy LG owner again ! I can't wait for the custom ROMs, the One X+ is great right now, but with future Android updates in the upcoming two years , having 2 GB of RAM will become a must. This phone is future prof, plus it looks 10 times more elegant.

I was considering the one x+, but the snapdragon pro on the optimus g smokes the Tegra 3. If one x+ was running snapdragon, I would have bought it.

Battery
Can anyone throw some light on the battery consumption? I mean to compare the two phones, if they were running the exact same ROM.
I understand that the Optimus G CPU may have a better performance than the One X+. But which CPU is better in terms of battery consumption?

The snap Dragon is a much faster and more efficient cpu as well, it is like comparing an AMD to an Intel. This is the next level of tech, the next Tegra well probably be built on this architecture. Smaller lighter less heat produced and more energy efficient.

Hello everyone, I have the option of choosing the LG optimus G or the HTC 1x+ and would like some advise. Will the 2gb of ram on the optimus G be significantally better than the 1gb ram or the 1x+ when it comes to emulation of NDS and N64 on the device? How about the tegra 3 on the 1x vs the graphics on the optimus g?
Optimus G. Not just more RAM, but faster RAM. A 22nm chip size versus a 40nm chip size.
RAM is a huge factor for emulation, they all run much better on here.

Hi. I am going to get a new phone, I am coming off of a Motorola Photon Q. I'm looking for a new phone and I don't really know which ones to get, I have a couple of them at the bottom. I am a moderate user. I text mildly, watch some youtube videos, etc. But I do like playing high-end games. My old Photon Q has an adreno 225, and it strains on playing MC4, around 13 FPS give or take.
The keyboard also just doesn't do much anymore and with 4 GB or storage, I can get one high-end game. -.-. I am considering these phones:
Htc One X+ - Because of good Tegra 3 clocked at 1700 and 64 GB space
Htc Droid DNA - Because of very good screen, but GPU might not be good enough for high end games? (Modern Combat, Asphalt, etc.)
Nexus 4 - Because cheap xD, GPU won't have as much strain on the lower resolution.
LG-G2 - 2300??? S800???? ADRENO330??? OF COURSE!
I haven't researched that many phones. (Only about 15 in-depth) so what is your opinion on these 4 phones? Any suggestions otherwise?
My budget is really around ~400 so the LG-G2 is like a dream haha...
Well thanks in advance!
Don't get a Tegra 3 for gaming. It's slow and it heats up.
Get a phone with a Adreno 320 GPU, they can deliver some power and are far more powerfull than a Tegra 3 with an ancient GPU.
Nexus 4 and HTC Droid DNA both have limited 16gb storage, which will become annoying.
For cheap gaming get a Oppo 5 or LG Optimus G. 32gb and adreno 320.
One X+ is perfect for everything else than gaming. Like music, 64gb and quality output.

AFAIK Droid DNA has external card slot...
I'd wait until the next HTC device comes out with a snapdragon 800 processor. Do some research into that and you'll quickly see why. I'm not talking about HTC's pianist phone the One Macs but soon after that they will have an actual phone size device with same specs. Maybe 4th quarter this year but will well worth the wait. I jumped the gun and got the one x+. Great phone for everything but gaming but if I waited just a few more months I could have gotten the HTC One that is better than Tue one x+ in every way except maybe the size of memory but 32g is more than enough for me personally. Just my input, don't rush cus a few months later a much better device will come out and you'll be like damn, should have waited.

Don't buy a Tegra-powered phone if you want to play Gameloft games (no, I'm not advertising or anything!) E.g. asphalt 7 with this phone around 15 fps. Strangely, mc4 (fun game ) hangs around 40fps! I recommend you to buy a Snapdragon phone instead.

Tegra 3 is a very inefficient chip. It just isn't meant for gaming. As others have pointed out, if you're gaming then you're much better off with an Adreno 320 or better.
I want to buy a new smartphone and i can choose between L9 II & L90
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=6100&idPhone2=5650
Both are atractive in one way and another
pros i see for L9 II:
720p resolution
additional button for quick memo's ect
Camera has HDR (?)
Internet speed is up to 42mbps (?)
now cons i see on L90
KitKat
looks better
Quad-Core CPU
Cheaper
I was wondering is L9 II dualcore cpu @ 1,4 is same performance then L90's A7Cortex quadcore @ 1,2 ghz?
Now an interesting question poped out. L90 has lower resolution, doesnt that mean that it will take less ram and cpu usage when it comes to graphics?
I would buy Lg l9 II. As far as I know it has a kitkat too :/ Hd screen for me is a very big advantage and it looks better than L90.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Free mobile app
thanks!
But why 720p is so important on small screen (well im comparing to notebooks ect). I checked both phones and couldnt tell the difference.
Aswel what about processing power? does A7 cortex being quadcore has advantage over Dual-Core Krait @ 1.4 ghz? Antutu Benchmarks on youtube shows that L90 seem to score better. Although for example GTA San Andreas lags on L90 while L9 II runs smooth.
anyone?
I just picked up the L90, and it's phenomenal for the price. I'd recommend that.
