We have a panoramic picture mode in the camera firmware update after the ICS update
This is a great cause for a new thread. Thank you for adding to the discussion of this forum.

My brother who's on the latest CM7 nightly says that there's a touch to focus camera. Since I can't post in that thread, I figured I'd ask here. Is it possible to sideload the new camera into my current build of CM7? I pulled the apk from the nightly and installed it over my current camera. It works fine with some new features, but I can't touch to focus. Does anyone know if there are associated files (framework etc) that I need to transfer over as well?
Also, FWIW, my geo-tagging is broken but it's not a big deal.
Why not just update rip the latest cm7?
what do you mean? i pulled the apk from the latest nightly but touch to focus didn't work
It doesn't work because there is no touch to focus feature in CM7 camera to begin with. Your brother misinformed you. The camera app will only let you focus when you hold the shutter button, or it will auto focus when you take a picture. It does not touch-to-focus like TouchWiz camera app. Besides, why aren't you updating to the latest nightly?

Another Fascinating post by my XDA app...

If you have been waiting for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean’s Camera Sphere port for Android 4.1, Ice Cream Sandwich, your wait is over as the Camera / Gallery app has been made available for download. You can download and install Photo Sphere apk on your device right now. However, be informed that it may not have all the features and we may still have to wait till Android 4.2 ROM becomes available.
Google announced Android 4.2 Jelly Bean a few days ago. One of the most awesome features was the Camera Sphere panorama mode that allowed you to take photos in 360 degree panorama mode. This feature, along with many other cool features like Gesture Typing, was made available for Android 4.2 Jelly Bean only. It may not work well on older versions of Android as it may have some dependencies on the OS.
How to Install Photo Sphere on Galaxy Nexus & Other Devices
Before you Begin: You will need a rooted Android device. So, if your device is not rooted already, root it.
Download Android 4.2 Camera APK from JB 4.2 Camera download links and flash it in CWM

I've a Xperia T and photosphere doesn't work for me
Ty for your job
Youll need to edit media_profiles.xml to add 640x480 and 800x480 mod because this way highest video resolution will be 352x288.
thanks
Thanks
Thanks for sharing.
So we all know how awesome is the Google Camera, from Panorama Shots to the beautiful Lens blur.
So here is the Fully Working Google Camera port ( Lens Blur, Panorama, and other features are working but it is almost impossible to port the Portrait Mode or Night Mode either due to the limited capability of our Camera and the hardware) .
I am not allowed to post link currently so you can just copy the link and remove spaces .

There won't be any problems if you install it as a standalone app.
Ask me if any problems occur!
Hit Thanks if you liked the app! :good:
Does it have night mode and portrait mode?
playback recorded video show frozen picture with sound!
EDIT: the problem was with viper ROM stock player. videos play fine with vlc!

Thanks.. !! Its working on my a7000 phone..
The android pie update literally did nothing to improve cam quality and that pissed alot of us
So the question I'm asking is simple: Is there a camera app that fixes the night light photos + ADDS AUTO FEATURE TO SUPER SLOW-MO
I'm particularly interested in the super slow-mo auto function
Btw I'm also new,so if this question has already been answered,I'm sorry for reposting it
