UPDATE: I FOUND THIS, GOOGLE IS A GOOD TOOL, YOU SHOULD USE IT http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970900
I don't believe there is such a thing but here are options:
google actually has an app for this, here you go:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.google.android.inputmethod.pinyin&hl=en
and here's a video on how to use it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2w0gM5Tz7o
other options:

I do currently have google pinyin and another installed but I really like the HTC touch input keyboard just wonder why it couldn't do Chinese after the swype function been included......
before the older versions always have Chinese input

Are there any other chinese streak users out there? I want to find either a keyboard or app that I can use to type chinese. I speak cantonese so the google pinyin ime is not an option for me as that uses mandarin pronunciation. Is there one that uses cantonese pronunciation or one where i can draw on the screen instead?
Thanks in advance.
go to market n download 'HKIME' it supports cantonese pronunciation and handwriting recognition
Have you tried hanwriting? It has handwriting recognition, dunno about typing IME part though
I downloaded Smart Keyboard Pro and installed the Chinese keyboard along with the English. As regards to drawing on the screen, I believe there might be some files around from an HTC phone that has the touch screen Chinese IME input.
All of the GSM roms I've tried so far only has pinyin and stroke which I do not know how to use...LOL
nobody knows this?

Thanks, but I have tried the following keyboards from google play and there are problems with each:
1. Go Keyboard - this was good enough for me until they started to spam my notifications with porn apps
2. Touch Pal - this is Okay too, not as a good a Go keyboard but the critical flaw is that on the EVO 3d in landscape mode, the keyboard does not take up the whole screen
3. Multiling - handwriting recognition is horrible, I can write 10 words and MAYBE it would recognize one...
This is why I am asking if someone can help provide the HTC OEM one. Actually, that is the best handwriting keyboard, bar none.
Hello, anyone has any recommendations for a keyboard with Chinese input? I am currently on CM9 Rom, Android keyboard, only to realise that android keyboard doesn't have any Chinese input options.
Try baidu or Go keyboard..... Both are good.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I am using Google Pinyin IME

i am using google pinyin ime.
if you are looking for chinese handwriting then try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwxLDEsIm5ldC5oY2lpbGFiLnNjdXRnUGVuLklNRSJd
works really good
If you use simplified Chinese, I recommend Baidu Input for smooth input and memory saving
i recommend Sogou pinyin input for Chinese.

IDK but try this close to HTC

I know you already mentioned that you love HTC's keyboard, but have you tried SwiftKey? it has multiple different languages to choose from. I tried to use another keyboard after using SwiftKey and I can't do it. I'm spoiled.
Hi all, wondering if anyone has the same incredibly frustrating problem.
I'm using a Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7105
I used to use the Samsung Keyboard with English and the Chinese language input (downloaded in it's language settings).
But after a hard rest (My phone had recently updated itself to 4.3 with no change) I no longer have Chinese as a downloadable language.
WHY is this so annoying... Becuase if I use another keyboard that has chinese I can't swap between it and the Samsung Keyboard in Keyboard. The Samsung has to be selects in the phone setting and can't be selected as one of many keyboards.
The reason why I wish to use the Samsung keyboard is becuase of its great swipe input function. I have not found another keyboard that has swipe in English and Chinese input funtionality.
Which means I can never using any combo of keyboards swap easily from chinese to swipe english keyboard. Aarrgghh!!!!!
I think It has something to do with the locale version of the 4.3 android os. I heard that different locales have different downloadable language options. But why has mine sudenly changed!
Anyone?

Samsung must have changed the CSC of your device when upgrading to Android 4.3
I don't own your device. So I am just sharing what I know.
Go to messaging app, and select create new message and the keyboard will be activated.
In that look for any settings icon.
If there is one, then click on it and change your input language.
^If it doesn't work, go to menu>settings>language and input and change the options.
Press thanks if I have helped.
Maybe someone has better ideas.
