Has anyone (who has a participating cable provider) tried the WatchESPN app yet on the Atrix?
I've been trying to use it and so far the video is horrible on both wi-fi and over the air. The video displays colors overlaid on the feed and it is just awful.
Anyone have a similar experience?

I set this up yesterday, and really haven't messed with it too much. I did just try to watch some video over 3g/4g? and it took forever to load, and the video had a big green box when it first started, but then it corrected itself and the video was decent but it was slow to buffer and was choppy and not too enjoyable.
Haven't tried it yet..will install when I get done flashing my Atrix. Have god damn voice quality issues...so doing this one last time...
I had it on my iPhone 4 that I gave to my wife..it was WONDERFUL on there...looked like an HDTV...
i get the same issues as you, both on cell network and wifi. the bottom overlay in particular is always covered in green.
Glad to see it's not just me. I'm wondering if it's just an issue of the app not supporting our chipset yet.
Hopefully one of the updates will correct it eventually.
Yeah I installed it guys, horrible...believe me when I tell you its not even close to the experience on the iPhone...
If the damn iPhone had a replaceable battery I'd go back....
Me and my brother both have TF Primes an on both of our tablets from the day we got them have had problems with the YouTube app. Not really serious issues but any time you type with the on screen keyboard it will flash on and off, disappearing , then reappearing very rapidly. Also when using the dock if you use the search bar on a page after viewing a video, the space bar will only move down to one of the related videos, not make a space in the search bar. Just wondering if anyone else is having these problems, and if there is a fix.
Same issue, and no fix...yet.
I really don't worry to much about software issues on any of my devices because i am pretty addicted to flashing and these issues is what i love about android. Researching and finding the cause then understanding how to fix it. I don't think i would be very happy with a flawless device. No fun in it.

Yea...it isint really a problem at all since the app still works, good to know it isint only my family's devices. Thanks.
Ok I got my Gnote yesterday at BestBuy(upgraded from my skyrocket). When I got home to play with it it seemed to drag a$$ and was pretty choppy, almost like it was pushing it limits on memory or something. I restarted the phone but no help. Next I downloaded golauncher thinking it would help but no luck.
I’ve also noticed that whenever I select wallpaper it zooms all the way in on the pic (which looks like crap) and it doesn’t scroll. I’ve tried everything. Help me XDA
I hope there’s a simple fix for all these issues my phone is having. My skyrocket was flawless. Hell my infuse don’t seem too bad now.
Video quality isn’t that great either. What gives Samsung?????
I was able to get better wallpaper using zedge on the market. It doesnt zoom in like selecting from folder.

Actually read other reviews before inferring that all notes have performance comparable to yours - mine is hardcore fast. No lag, no stutters, no nothing but performance. Download some appstore apps to monitor background processes and see if there is a rogue something running. That, or you may have a faulty device.
Coming from an Atrix, SGS2, Skyrocket, Droid Razr, and International Galaxy Note this is the smoothest phone I've ever owned. Only issue I have is getting calendar to sync with Google calendars.

Mine is running the same way. Checking memory usage it is definitely pushing its limits. I'm at 557mb right now. Hoping it's just this rom and when we have development it'll improve.
Either way, I love this phone. I've had no issues with camera or video quality.

Mine was lagging really bad as well... at least with the tw launcher. I dl go launcher with the ICS theme and its slightly faster but still lagging

Are all of you closing down your background apps and/or running on power saver mode?
There is no reason you should be that laggy.

I have not Seen any Lag Unless I Use a Launcher. othcr than that Seems to Be just as Smooth as my Skyrocket.

Factory reset if laggy. There really should be no lag, go try another note and trade in. When i get mine next week, ill be sitting there all day making sure it responds well, if not ill argue. Edit: ok there may be a little but it can not be worse then my infuse lol.
Actually my note is kinda "laggy, sluggish, choppy" as well. I'm kind of a sad man right now, I still LOVE this thing but it's performance is not all that great at the moment for me.
Not entirely sure why either...I tried a few launcher none make it better and some make it worse.
grrr...
what kind of Lag. I have only Seen It while Using a Launcher. It actually Is JUST as Smooth as my Skyrocket when right next to it .

Same here. very dissapointed. Its slower than my infuse, but then my infuse is running a custom rom.
Worst example by far is the market. load it up and scroll up and down, soooo choppy and laggy. starting to think I might have made a mistake not getting the international. I'm really surprized.
I'm sure once I overclock it and toss launcher pro on it I will be happier, I'm just really surprized that I have to do that.

Really strange. I am completely stock right now with all the bloat still installed, microbes live wallpaper, and I just tried this in the market and get no lag whatsoever.
I went to the AT&T store and the Note was laggy. I killed background tasks, eliminated widgets, removed bloatware... nothing
I really like the screen size + google maps navigation but I'm not good at rooting so I've gotta see if this lag stuff continues on stock before taking the plunge.
Hmm :/ I'll take a video of it tomorrow. All power saving options are off, nothing much running in the background. Maybe I should take it into an ATT store and compare it side by side to the ones on display.
I'm glad most others aren't having this problem, that means its something that can get fixed or replaced rather than just being an underpowered processor for the resolution of the screen.
Its a new device with a new processor... Its funny to me how much people are seriously complaining and stressing about "lag". You guys do know the international one had a bunch of "lag" when it came out right? Its a new device that will see updates to its system that help improve UI. **** if you arent willing to get your hands dirty and root/freeze apps/rom the thing, what are you doing on a developers site?? Its not the phones problem, its your unreasonable expectations. Ask international note owners from day 1 if they had "lag". How many *****y My PHONE IS LAGGING threads do we need? If you hate it and arent willing to go through the process of improving it yourself, return it and wait a few months.
Oh and have a nice day

^Somebody needs to get laid STAT!
I'm absolutely willing to do all of that, and I will, but going from a captivate, to an infuse, to this, and having it be the slowest out of the box when the other two were single core just strikes me as not right. And with others stating that they don't have this issue, makes me think there must be something going on here. Before I mask the problem with the OC kernel and a new launcher I'd rather know that there isn't something wrong with my specific note.
Glad the lag doesn't bother you

For me the update, while only 24 hours old, has made a world of difference. Gone (so far) is the browser constantly crashing, the random reboots, and the wifi signal dropping randomly. I already loved the Prime, even with those faults, knowing that at some point a ROM or one of the updates would fix those problems. This seems to have done it.
My company is on the verge of purchasing them for all of our consultants, and I had been telling them to wait a bit, I think now I can move forward with the purchase. My question is, has it made the rest of you as happy?
Interesting. What industry are you in? Im in healthcare under IT and theres only 2-3 people with company Tablets ..though they are I-pads =(. I would love to see more tablets bieng productive in the business world and pushed into them as well. THe Prime is good start with the keyboard dock and processing power.
For business consultants wouldn't it be better to have a tablet that has built in data plans? I'm guessing they'd be traveling around a lot, and to assume everyone has available wifi for them is a but presumptuous.
Unless everyone also has a dataplan smartphone for tethering !
For me it has made it much more reliable and stable. I made it through a whole day at school as a laptop replacement. Used Overskreen browser (awesome), pdfs, TED, youtube, gmail, 8tracks, music apps. Everything worked together and it never froze or crashed.
new update has made my prime that much better than the competition.
Better here too, only problem i get is browser lag. Its not totally gone, but its noticeably better to the point where its almost not bothering me now.

Much, much better. Screen tearing completely gone, no random reboots yet and gps is working again. Browser is much better, only get the wait or close message once in a long while.

my prime used to just bob my knob. now it tongues the testes while it bobs the knob. so much better.
am i the only one who had a gmail problem?
i couldn't find anyone having problems with gmail... it would open and i could see the emails... but wouldnt respond to my touch... all i know is the new update fixed that problem... amongst everything else.
After the update I feel it more smooth overall. So I am happy enough with it now that I ordered a leather case for it
They updated the Asus timeline live wallpaper
They added some animation to each of the "scenes" like sun shafts and birds flying toward the sunset one on the Dusk scene.

Browsing seems really smooth now and the Splashtop Streamer works very nice as well. Also we probably got the free 8GB AsusWebstorage. And I am sure there is still lots to find. I'll let you know later
Stability really has improved a lot with this update. My browser would crash QUITE frequently before, and I had a few, albeit not many, random reboots. I've used my Prime quite a bit since the update and I haven't witnessed either of those two things yet. The browser is faster and more responsive now than ever before.
market not connecting
Light browser lag yes, and google play/market is not picking up connection...
I've actually had one reboot since updating. I never had any problems with the previous firmware at all. Hopefully that was a one off..
Prime isn't rooted and hasn't been tinkerer with at all
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA
Definitely has improved my experience. No more screen flickering. Some "wait/close" popups with the browser, but not nearly as many as before. In fact, I don't recall having one at all today. Things seem smoother to me. I look forward to the Prime just getting better and better with future updates.

After update, i have been noticing that leaving the TP off and later when I pick up the TP, it feels a bit warm on the right upper side top. Also notice that the battery has gone down much quicker as well when just turned off. I don't have much installed, as I just got the TP last Saturday.
Maybe I will just do a hard reset.
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using xda premium
So far with the new firmware I have had the Prime just shut off once and then refuse to start up until it is plugged into charger.
I do experience the occasional hang up on the stock web browser, but everything else seems to be running smoothly so far.
I am hoping that I no longer experience random reboots or the tablet just shutting off because whenever I do I can't get the tablet to start up again until I plug it into the charger.
Hi guys, here I want to make a thread that gathers all the bugs of the nexus 10. It's not that many anyway. But I found one. it's actually a software bug with the youtube app. When you click on a video, the screen-rotation lock does not work. it's quite annoying
It isn't really a bug, that's just how the YouTube app works. I like it on my phone, as I usually have rotation turned off, but still want full screen videos.
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
oh well, on my Note 10.1, the lock function works in the youtube tho. Im not sure this is a bug or Google design their Jelly bean that way. But i think when the users want to lock the screen, it should lock with every apps.
I found a bug. Open the keyboard in a text field and hit the lock button. Then turn it back on and you can see the down arrow on the bottom status bar. It doesn't do anything when you press it either.
Maybe its just me, but the scrolling in apps such as xda, Facebook, and others does not seem quite as smooth as my galaxy s3. Any reason for that? Other than that I am completely in love with this tablet, no issues whatsoever.

Optimization or lack of could be the reason. SG3 Is quite a different comparison since its a phone with different specs. I also have the SG3. Its helping me cope since I no longer have my Note 10.1 and waiting for this tablet to ship.

Yeah I think that's the answer, since this doesn't exist in apps such as gmail or YouTube.

Also running the S3 and thinking the same thing about the N10... love it but some thing aren't as fluid as the S3
However I'm betting the nexus is going to get better and better with time
I'm having an issue with "Glow Hockey" where lines randomly appear on screen for about a second. Similar to artifacts on PC. Haven't seen it else where so it may be application specific. Anyone having an issue with that game?
Nexus 10 - Bugs Noticed
I hope I am in the correct spot to post this. I am having a few problems with the Nexus 10 (4.2,1): I have always used the slingbox app but now the video starts, freezes right away and hangs but the audio continues. Words with friends seems to have issues when placing letters on the board, they don't get placed where directed and once placed I cannot move a single letter off without doing a recall of all letters. Other than these issues, so far so good. I really love this unit. Now I need to find a good set of accessories for it. It's very odd going from this back to my tiny cell phone !
