I'm looking to get a new phone ina few months and am undecided about the two.
I want a phone that has CyanogenMod support and/or MIUI support.

Desire Z has both supports... Cyanogenmod and Miui.
I can tell you after rooting unlocking and installing a Cyanogenmod 7 rom this device will fly (much faster then original stock firmware even from the last HTC 2.3.3) here you can find all do you need to do it... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905261 ... a downgrade to a previous froyo 2.2 is needed to let the desire z receive the possibility to install a custom rom.

In the Galaxy Nexus Android Development forums there is a sticky for clockwork mod recovery. You will have to flash that, then follow the instructions on one of the custom ROM's in that section.

I persinally use a custom rom.No rom is better thats up to your personal choice
there are a lot of stable ics and gb roms for this device jelly bean is not fully functional but try searching out the development forum there's a useful thread that lists all roms for our devices

Hi, I'm back here after a number of years with my Xperia Play, I need some help flashing/rooting/modifying my Xperia Mini Pro to the latest version of Android.
I have many questions, the main reason I want to upgrade is to get the latest apps only available with newer versions of Android such as Vine.
Are there any stable ROMs that anyone could recommend specifically for the Xperia Mini Pro? As far as I know the version of android I'm running (2.3.4, kernel v 2.6.32.9-perf, 4.0.2.A.0.62 build) has not been touched, do I begin with rooting before flashing? Also, how do I go about backing up my data?

To any one who knows or have ported roms. I have a HTC Jetstream and is running honeycomb but feel it has the potential to run jellybean ,kit Kat, or lollipop. I have seen a Rom that was ported to the htc glacier from a HTC one. Is it possible to do it with a HTC one Rom to a HTC jetstream? I know it's from a phone to a tablet but still. Is it possible?

First off, I have a rooted Panasonic P81 with a MTK-6592 Chip-set maybe, and its rooted(obviously),
So Can someone tell me how do i port a Rom for my device, like i want miui v6 for my Panasonic P81(which is not available currently). And the base rom which you are telling should be of cyanogenmod, but cyanogen is not available for my device! So what base rom should i take? thanks! and should the port be of the same type as the base? i mean like i have a base of cyanogen (just an example) and i have a port of miui then what should i do?
