The latest CyanogenMod Nightly can be downloaded here or via ROMManager.
The new recovery in ROMManager (5.0.2.7) is not required, but is necessary to receive automatic updates.

This is the place to discuss the CyanogenMod nightlies. Feel free to talk about anything related to these ROMS, but to receive acknowledgement by a developer of any problems you find, the following conditions should be met:
Use the stock CyanogenMod kernel
Do not overclock
Use the default system apps (launcher etc.)
Do not use apps2sd or similar
Before posting a problem you should:
Check the posts below for a solution / fix
Read the last 10 pages of this thread for a post with a similar problem
Backup, reflash with a full wipe, check if the bug is still there
Wait 24 hours for the next nightly, the devs probably already know about it
If the problem still persists after the next nighlty appears and all the above steps have been followed, post your problem and we'll see if there is something we can do. Please include the following information:
Which Nightly you are running
Which Nightly the bug first appeared (if known)
*Confirm Stock Everything* (shows that you have read all the above)
Detailed steps to reproduce the bug (add a screenshot if it helps)
OLD BASEBAND?
If your phone uses the old baseband, you need to upgrade to the new baseband. This improves 3G signal and battery life. There are many guides on how to do this so just have a quick look around, or even watch a video on Youtube.
NO-APN PROBLEMS?
All APN problems related to 'funny SIMs' have been fixed, please thank werewolfo for generously donating an Italian funny SIM for me to test with!.
Major improvements include:
New baseband support
Better 3G Reception
.35 kernel support (only)
Offline charging
Quicker GPS lock
Smoother Accelerometers
Better 3G signal
Better battery life

Aside from no data on T-Mobile UK, everything else seems to work fine.
People with data problems: Can you provide a radio logcat output please, the command you want is:
Code:
adb logcat -b radio
copy the output to http://pastebin.com/ and add the link here
Thanks!

One guy from dev thread suggested to flash baseband from latest official ROM for your country, may be that can help
He said:
"hey guys, try downloading the official gingerbread from vodafone in .kdz, extract the baseband from that rom and use it in your rom. If you don't know how, PM me."
Here is the link:

@adfad
What do you think about that bug:Call settings/additional settings doesn't work. An error "network or Sim card error" occurs. This works in official roms and doesn't work in mik's 6.5.8 too.

It shouldn't make a difference, especially since it's been reported roms based on official LG gingerbread work with the same baseband

I've noted it, but the main bug should be to get this network problem sorted out. Just need to get some logcat readings as described above

Sorry, I can't post links because I have not enough posts yet.
btw: great rom, thx for your work
Edit: Nightly 1, nothing changed
OS:Nightly full-1

Too many resolutions in photo camera... maybe i am wrong but i never seen 1080p and 720p types in CMcamera

Thanks, now can you do provide me with a full logcat from boot please. Switch it off, then back on and wait until the lock screen comes on and the screen times out and switches off.
(not the command from above, just a regular adb logcat)
Hope this is what you want...

The problem is a CyanogenMod problem. Someone has already submitted some patches recently, I've tested them and they work fine so they should be merged very soon.
I encounter a pretty annoying bug with outgoing/incoming calls. I cannot hang up after the phone after the conversation. I get a a blackscreen. When the other person at the other end hangs up the sound comes on to say call has been disconnected. After this, you cannot use your phone. pushing and holding the power key only makes your buttons (on the phone) flash. You have to remove battery and reboot in order to fix the problem.

Hmm nothing funny there either. I'll need to see the logcat of the radio again but from boot (1st command again). It scrolls pretty quick sometimes so try to get it all from the very beginning.
edit - this might be easier:
Code:
adb logcat -b radio > logcat.txt
switch the phone off, run the command BEFORE you switch the phone on (it'll say waiting for device) then switch the phone on and wait until you see the lock screen. you won't see anything on the screen, it saves it all to the logcat.txt file.
press ctrl + C to quit adb and paste the content of the file

The proximity sensor driver needed updating in the kernel, it's already fixed and will be in Nightly #2. However there is a fix, plug the phone in to charge and it comes back to life!
Is this going to stay on new baseband? I just don't see the need in upgrading baseband if mobile data doesn't work

I noticed that the Gallery behaves weirdly when it encounters an empty album (from Picasa). It hides the empty albums but still occupy the space in the grid, sometimes it stops other albums from loading and makes it impossible to go into those albums.
All is ok after deleting the empty albums through Picasa Web Albums.
been running cm_passion-07122010-001202.zip for 10 hours, all wiped, no major problems here.
Nice Nice.. I'll be giving this a go..

With all of the nightly's and RC1, it takes FOREVER for widgets to load and for SU to grant root permissions to many if not all apps.
Very nice to see this thread as I have been running nightlys for several days.
The latest seems to be the best (122010), very fast, great carrier signal reception. So far I haven't had any fc's. Not a single issue so far. Good job on this one.
Ditto on the SU permissions problem.
Other than that, great battery life, speed and oh my how I missed all of the Cyan goodies when I defected to try another Froyo build.
Thank you Cyanogen and all of the other devs involved in this project!
can i just do a thrid [dammit im 7th] poster thingy ... gonna give it a try !!
Oh, I only did a wipe when I first went from 5.8 to the alpha 1, after that I haven't had to do a wipe.
I am having trouble running Metamorph with this version of CM. It is saying that I either do not have a SDCard in the phone or that there is not enough space. This message appears right after Metamorph is opened. Tried wiping it and even verified that I have over 60mb of space on the phone (metamorph says it needs at least 20mb). Can anyone verify this error? I know there are those who have installed blackbar morph successfully so any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Netlocation has been a pain in my arse ever since Alpha 1, will post a log when I get back to my computer. It will only find my location over wifi, not network.

Anyway, I filed a bug report when I was still on RC-1 about the SU set on boot things, and I starred a report about exchange.
I'm not getting root access anymore, even when manually opening apps (10min after boot). Rebooting doesn't solve it. Are more people having this issue, if so is there a fix for at least getting manual root access after losing it?
EDIT: nvm, got it after 15min of waiting.

Technically you were third, you could start your own topic and be first poster, although I fail to see why this is entertaining.
Most of the nightlies seem to be pretty stable, I'm running the current one and all seems to be ok. Cross-flashing from MCR breaks things horribly but that's not all that surprising. There's still a fair bit to be added in by the looks of things but most of it seems to be pretty stable. Just make sure to keep a couple of generations of Nandroid backups as one of the builds a couple of nights ago broke a few things fairly badly and I had to revert.

Awesome port and great work! The only "bug" I'm experiencing is Google Voice force closes before you can get into the app to do anything. I tried a full wipe fresh install with and without "tweaked buildprop" but that didn't seem to have any affect. Anything else I can do to help test?
Edit:
1. Using version 3.1.11
2. Came from your most recent CNA build for Photon on first full wipe; obviously 2nd full wipe was MIUI to MIUI. This was a true nuke 'n pave with me blowing away my sdcard contents as well.
3. I have not restored any data unless you count installing about 15 apps from the play store.
4. Google Voice force closes no matter what I try (post setup). It launched and let me set up, after that constant FC's.
5. I'm willing to get this for you if you believe it will be of help. Let me know and I'll go learn how using your thread. Logcats<--THIS IS PREFERRED.

navigation with Nightly 16Oct
Hi,
I am using nightly 16 Oct (from stock 4.1.2), and found that the GPS navigation is not working properly. The navigation arrow is not pointing at the direction where I should go. Instead it was pointing downward.
Anyone encounter this?
update: Flashed nightly 17Oct,hoping for improvement. GPS initially could not get a fix. So I downloaded GPS Test, and used it's setting to clear AGPS. After that the GPS works normally.

Hi,
i have buyed an R-Watch M26 and i have downloaded a RWatch App to use it qith my Samsung Galaxy S2.
All works fine, notifications, alarm, etc etc but the Dial not works properly.
During call I can not hear the voice, and the microphone not works.
I have a Cyanogenmod 11-20141008-SNAPSHOT-M11-i9100.
I have tested the watch on other device and all works fine.
Can you help me to solve this issue pls?
Thanks in advance.
[Q] problem with dial pad when receiving call
I am using M-11. (the problem also appears in nightly build Oct 17)
After receiving a call, the dial pad is initially an icon. The problem is, the first time I press this icon, only digits 1 to 3 appear. It looks like only the top portion of the dial pad appears. I have to work around by pressing the back key to hide it, and press the dial pad icon again. This time the full dial pad will appear.
Anyone else has this problem?

Snapchat freezing/crashing phone
Hello!
I really like this mod a lot, it really does wonders to the speed of my phone. Anyway, I'm kind of new to this, but right now I've got the latest NIGHTLY build (23 october) on my i9100. I have tried this one and the stable one that comes with the windows installer, still snapchat doesn't work as it should.
Using the front camera to record video:
Image freezez and the camera can't be used anymore. Nothing helps but rebooting the phone.
Using the back camera to record video:
Works only once, (sometimes not even once) and trying to record another video, the image freezes and the camera crashes. Sometimes the phone reboots itself too and I noticed it dropped from a 70% charge in battery to 7%(!?) Rebooted it again and it said 37%..
So basicly it's impossible to send video snaps and I also noticed opening someones video snap sent to me reboots the phone.
Any idea? :/
I cant link the screenshots of my phone info but I can type it instead:
model : GT-I9100
cyanogenmod-version: 11-20141023-nightly-i9100
"basebandversion" (translated it from swedish lol): i9100XXMS4
kernel-version: 3.0.64-CM-g4ca83ff
Version: cm_i9100-userdebug 4.4.4 KTU84Q
Do anyone have a 100% working snapchat on cyanogenmod, please tell me which one you've got, cause I need it really bad.
Thanks in advance. <3

Any idea? :/
I cant link the screenshots of my phone info but I can type it instead:
model : GT-I9100
cyanogenmod-version: 11-20141023-nightly-i9100
"basebandversion" (translated it from swedish lol): i9100XXMS4
kernel-version: 3.0.64-CM-g4ca83ff
Version: cm_i9100-userdebug 4.4.4 KTU84Q
Do anyone have a 100% working snapchat on cyanogenmod, please tell me which one you've got, cause I need it really bad.
Thanks in advance. <3

As I said in the post, I've tried the stable releases and the nightly ones. Normal camera works perfectly fine, but when using snapchat, it breaks the camera completely and a reboot is required.
Any music bug workaround?

I am using M-11. (the problem also appears in nightly build Oct 17)
After receiving a call, the dial pad is initially an icon. The problem is, the first time I press this icon, only digits 1 to 3 appear. It looks like only the top portion of the dial pad appears. I have to work around by pressing the back key to hide it, and press the dial pad icon again. This time the full dial pad will appear.
Anyone else has this problem?

Same problem here, also can't activate the cm11 call recording feature.
Another problem I have is that the double tap to sleep stopped working for me (on notification bar, however it still works on lock screen slider). Edit: Fixed this by re-enabling window animations (setting all 3 related options from 0.0x to 1.0x default in developer options) and rebooting.
Also got lots of issues with camera but will write about that another time.
I'm on 2014-10-25 nightly.
Crash when play TSTO

This firmware:
- Does not include root management (I suggest flashing SuperSU from recovery)
- Installs TWRP as device recovery
- 5.0.x Tested using PA Pico GApps
- 5.1 Tested using BaNkS Gapps via euroskank
or these other minimal GApps (untested)
Known issues:
- No sound during calls until toggle speaker phone
- Time zone bug
Installation notes:
- Do not use Mr.Cook's rom-wipe script; [ here's why ]
- I do NOT recommend dirty-flashing over other i777 firmwares

So what are the bugs in this rom. Is it same as cyandel?
On this firmware, WIFI works, and mobile data works.
I have not been running this firmware long, so I don't know all of the bugs yet. I am still testing the firmware myself.
I will keep the OP updated as I learn more.

Can you shoot videos??
Is sdcard detected?
It looks like there's no multi-user support. Or maybe I'm blind and I just can't find it. The other problem I found is that ES File Explorer doesn't work; it crashes and causes the phone to restart. Updating from the Play store doesn't fix it.
Otherwise, it seems to run alright. Wifi is fine, but I don't have a SIM for it.

Sdcard is fully functional. When shooting video, the stock camera freezes.

I intentionally disabled multiuser support. If that's something that you use, I can enable it.
The stock file browser, and solid Explorer both work well on this firmware. I therefore suspect that ES crashes are an app compatibility issue.
SIM card works, I'm daily driving it right now.
I appreciate the feedback.

it works
thank you for sharing this with us, i have been trying to just see/try android 5.0 on my device and with your rom its working . i didnt fully test everything but overall seems fine to me

I heard there was a bug of the wifi, and that if you power your phone off with the wifi off, it will be stuck in a boot loop.
Is this true?
And secondly, I wanted to know if I could flash another kernel, like Shift....

@coolerboyj, I just tried it. I turned off the wifi, then rebooted, and the device booted into android as expected.
I have not tried shift with Omni 5.0, but it should work well.
i have had some random reboots and the call bug as you mentioned but other than that all is good. just wondering about any future fixes for the call bug ?

...I sure hope so. This is where you can all help me out. If you notice that another 5.0 firmware (for i777 or i9100) doesn't have the call bug, let me know, and I will look into what fixes they applied, and attempt to apply them to OMNI.

Can you give specifics? Just curious as to what you like best about it.
When trying to flash Gapps from here, I keep getting "Error Code: 70". I tried it with both Stock and Micro versions and it sayd "Error executing updater binary in zip". Does this mean it's just a bad zip? Or is there another issue I'm missing?

I like the refreshing nature of the interface. I'm eager to see what the big three add as customization.
This device doesn't handle the animations very well yet though. Maybe device tree refinements will improve it, maybe succeeding versions of Android, or both. Either way, only time will tell.

These roms are provided in case they're useful, no promises, no guarantees...
Only f5121 and f5321 builds were basic-tested (call, sms, data, wifi, camera, bt, fingerprint),
no battery drain, over-heating nor intempestive reboot seen after a few hours mostly idle.
GApps, GStore, GCam and Magisk reported to work when proceeding with care (see this post)
finally something new for suzu thanks i'll test it later

for now i can only say it boot with gapps and magisk flashed
edit: when it booting on there were only a few minor errors in adb logcat so i think it will be a quiet stable rom

Thanks appreciate it...if there no random reboot issues,it would be nice
Flashed it on my f5121 and it's best rom for suzu right now.
No bugs at all, baterry life and prformance is great.
No random reboots (at least no reboot happened to me).
GApps/GStore working. Magisk too. Im not able to test NFC, 5GHz wifi and cast so idk if it works.
Unfortunately I'm back to nougat PA rom because
drivedroid app not working on this rom (it not working on any rom even on stock only on PA lol)
but if you not using it, this rom probably will be your daily rom.
I'm will flash this ROM soon and i'm gonna write a post about it after a "week experience". I'm still gonna write any "strange behaviours" during usage, if necessary. I hope for the best

I'm gonna be able to answer correctly to this question after some days of usage. BTW, since i flashed i only got an unexpected reboot after flashing Magisk (so it's not that unexpected) and i had to reboot once because i've got some problems with wifi but this is a bug that i found on other pie ROMs too. I'll let you know in the following days if this issue is too annoying

This aosp build is pretty fast...but one and only,I just got reboot issues while try to use recent app switcher (gesture)

Maybe with a clean flash all our little issues would vanish. Anyway, compared to a 2.9 Havoc GSI that i was using before flashing this AOSP i can say that (for now) this ROM looks smoother and more stable. I'm also trying to increase battery life by tweaking stuff with kernel adiutor
