Tango Video Calling update - HTC Titan

Hi!
I received a marketplace update to Tango. I don't have the HTC one, it's the other version I think.
After the update two noticable things were:
1) Tango changed to Tango Video Calls
2) The sound quality was better and call dropping reduced.
I am using the same home wifi as before so nothing changed in terms of internet connectivity.
Please do let me know if you see something similar or better!

what version is yours as i have the htc one and iirc updated a few days ago to version1.6.13248

Yes I have TangoMe too - updated version is 1.6.16642
The HTC one initially had issues with call connection etc, so never went back to that one.

received it on my ns4g but yet on my evo 3d.
not really excited to receive it as i've seen quite a few issues with it on other devices from a developer's perspective. i remember reading the market has a silent update feature which allows it to automatically upgrade itself.
also, i'm sure you could grab the apk from another device, many of which ive seen posted online and use that to manually upgrade.
hope that helps!
3.1.5???

I am not sure if this is the one you are talking about, but I have build 3.1.5 that I got with a new ROM and I don't care much for it, mostly because it is slow and hangs up a lot. I have to FC it and relaunch to get it to work. I hope this is not the newest one, but it looks different from the one I had before.

Contact specific ringtones no longer playing

Hello, i just recently started having this issue. I set different ringtones for different contacts on my phone, and its been working fine until the last few days. now regardless of what ringtone is set for a contact, it always plays the default ringer. Could this be because of the latest OTA update? Anyone else having this issue?? any help is appreciated. Thanks
Its a known software issue with the most recent OTA. HTC is working on it.
Call them to confirm if you'd like
No need, i believe you...lol. it was after the update i noticed it.

If your rooted some of the newer roms such as mean rom have just fixed that error.
I would think more people would be complaining about this, its kind of a big issue. Any word on when the fix will be out?

HTC One AT&T flashed w CM 10.1 will not connect to mobile data networks

Hi I'm relatively new on the forums. I purchased a 64GB One from AT&T a week ago. Last night I was able to root it and flash CM 10.1 without any issues. This is the second phone I've rooted but the first one I've flashed a custom rom. I flashed the newest 5/29 nightly build of CM 10.1 and at first glance I noticed no major issues because I had wifi on the phone the entire time so I could download large apps and files quickly.
But this morning I turned off wifi and realized I'm not connecting to my local data network on AT&T LTE.
When my wifi is on, both wifi and mobile data icons are blue, indicating data connection.
But when wifi is off, I'm not connecting to data networks at all (and the cellular status bar icon is gray, indicating no data connection), even with mobile data turned ON in the settings menu.
In my settings Wireless & networks>Mobile networks> Data Enable is checked
Preferred network mode> LTE/GSM/WCDMA is selected.
Has anyone experienced this problem and found a solution? Appreciate the help. Thanks.

Bingo, thank you, that worked.
APN was set default to a defunct att network (wap.cingular). I changed it to ATT LTE (pta) and mobile data is working again.
I never even knew what APN was.
Don't forget the thanks button.

OP. It's because you flashed the old unified m7 build and not the m7att build which is also more up to date. 5/29 is the last unified build. Cm announced AT&T users should use the AT&T builds now due to the APN and probably will be more reasons in the future.

Is it stable enough for day to day use?
Aren't you using cm 10.1 already? The AT&T build branched from the m7 build.
Edit: quoted myself. Meant to quote previous post.
Edit: nevermind I was thinking of op. It's not ready for me yet due to issues with bt music and bt calls.

We're those questions for me? I am using CM 10.1, and yes I'm having issues with BT music and phone which is my only real issue with the build right now. Also I find the camera performance not as good with panoramas
Would the AT&T build improve on these BT issues?

The questions were directed at you initially but I saw later someone else commented. I was asking if you were on the regular M7 build as it split after 5/29 and ATT build would have corrected the APN issue which isn't an issue if you select the right one.
The AT&T build may help. The last build I was on before I went back to sense for now was the 6/6 build. It had BT music issues and phone was not usable over BT then. I didn't see any fixes since then but performance may be a bit better now. They're almost identical to what you're running which is the UL build. I'd recommend keeping an eye on both the ATT HTC One and International HTC One threads. The international one is the one in HTC One Original development started by codeworkx.

Yeah I flashed the regular M7 build which ended nightlies on 5/29. It's not encouraging news that your 6/6 build still has BT issues. I really don't want to go back to sense. I have the 64GB model and like the space. I understand that the google experience version HTC One will only have 32GB on board.
So I just reflashed the latest m7att build that was available and sadly BT still doesn't work.
It seems to run a bit smoother than the last build but I noticed they took away the invisible middle capacitive button just above the HTC logo and instead incorporated menu soft buttons into most of the apps, but not all of them so a few I could not figure out how to access the settings menus which was irritating.
If BT streaming would just work, this setup would be perfect for me.
Good news, i reattempted BT pairing with my car (2013 Hyundai) and it was successful, both for calls and music streaming.
I noticed only a couple minor bugs:
When I dial numbers remotely from my car touch screen, there is a bit of delayed response.
Phone won't respond when I tap the 'hang up' button on my car touch screen at the end of the call. It's always worked with previous phones.
So I think im good with this official build for a while.

Wifi Calling with Revolution HD?

Hi guys,
I have a T-Mobile HTC One and last night I unlocked, rooted, and flashed ARHD 30.0. I used to have the capability of Wifi calling, which T-Mobile offers for free. For those of you unfamiliar who may be familiar with a substitute, this feature allows users to call and text over Wifi, which is especially useful when service is unavailable.
Ever since I flashed the ROM, this feature doesn't show up in my settings. Does anyone know of a substitute that has the same or similar features? Also, does anyone know of the newest Revolution ROM that includes this capability? I'd like the newest possible ROM.
Thanks
I believe when T mobile release 4.3 for the One the devs will be able to include wifi calling in their ROMs. I don't know of any alternatives. 4.3 is supposed to go out on Monday so it shouldn't too much longer...
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
OK great. So you think it should be available in the next couple of weeks? Does Mike make these ROMs specifically for different carriers or is it a one ROM fits all kind of thing?
Also, if I flash a newer ROM, do I lose all my data on my phone? And if so, is there a way to backup and restore everything including my apps and settings?
I'm pretty new to this. Thanks for your help.
If you're on 4.1.2 right on you're going to get some annoying problems when first updating.
You'll most likely just want to do a complete wipe of your entire phone. (backup what you need)
There is a adb command you can run, check the trickdroid website there's a tutorial.
If we get an update Monday, Wi-Fi calling should be added relatively quickly to the existing ROMs. Like a day or two.

Ok great. Will the new Revolution HD ROM have a different version number? I just want to make sure I don't miss it. And when it is released, where will be the first place it will be announced? I'm very anxious to get my W-Fi calling back, since I have poor reception at school and work, but Wi-Fi is more readily available.

FYI, Insertcoin 5.0-5 incorporated the latest T-Mo update, and now has working Wi-fi calling on T-Mobile. ARHD will likely upgrade soon too, but these roms are somewhat similar and Insertcoin runs great. Here's a link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2279766
Hmm. I may have to try InsertCoin if Mike doesn't update his ROM. He just released a new version of ARHD (31.0) and it doesn't say anywhere that he's added WiFi calling. So I'm not sure if he is planning on doing it in the next couple of weeks or if he's just going to forget about it.

I bit the bullet and tried insert coin, not too impressed compared to trickdroid although it's probably just due to my ignorance.
No back4menu baked in
Seems a bit sluggish compared to trickdroid, which was already noticibly slower than when I first flashed it months ago
Didn't remove all the bloat I asked it to
Didn't allow my play store apps to auto d/l (weird one - tried two flashes and no dice, tried a different 4.3 rom and all my apps came right back)
That said, it is 4.3 with wifi calling but I'm still rolling back to 4.1.2 for now and sending trickdroids guy 10$ on paypal with a note about wifi calling

There's a 4.3 Rom by beholdthis, I think, that has Wi-Fi calling and works perfectly well. And it's customizable with add-ons.

Hmmm I came from Trickdroid, then ARHD and have stayed on Insertcoin; zero lag here and no problems auto downloading apps at all. Also Xposed mods work too. But, everyone has their rom preferences, so good luck!
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. behold_this's ROM looks promising, but I messaged mike and he said wifi calling "will come" so I think I'm going to hold off for a few more weeks and hopefully he'll have made the ROM by then.
 Good to know im actually looking for a rom with wifi calling since i dont have great coverage where i live. ill check the mentioned roms out, although was really interested on pacman rom
I will be keeping an eye out for this as well. I sent a PM to the developer for AR HD a day or so ago asking, but no response yet.
I'm no developer, but this seems like it would be pretty simple and quick to implement the WiFi calling feature from the stock T-Mobile ROM which came out almost three weeks ago. I'm really surprised it isn't out yet, especially as he seems to know that people are waiting for it. Then again, most of us aren't paying him for his work. I just don't know how much longer to wait... I seem to have terrible service and WiFi all the time.

It's not as easy as you might think. To implement Wi-Fi calling into a rom the base HAS to be the tmobile base. It's not as easy as ripping an apk out.

Um, is that exactly what we have now that the 4.3 update has been pushing HTC One Roms?

Just because the 4.3 update has pushed out doesnt mean a dev is using it as the base. Some are, some arent.

Ditto here. 1080p option gone.
What a ****in joke this update was. The only thing that changed was they took away that 1080p option when we all have a 1080p phone.
