Videogames on tv with HDMI or DLNA, is it possible? - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

As in the object, does anyone has tried to play videogames on the Flyer connected to a TV through HDMI or DLNA ?
How is the experience? Positive? Marvellous?
I like playing Asphalt 6...and I was imaging how can it be playing it on TV

I've done it HDMI , works fine.
Certainly the picture quality is not as good as a Xbox or Ps3 and of course the controls are not as good.
Not sure that would work with DLNA, I doubt it and there would at least be a significant delay

Which games have you played?

Whatever you can display on the Flyer screen displays also on the TV on HDMI.
I tried Madden 12, but you need to look at the touch screen to operate it successfully.
DLNA does not work that way, it allows you to share media ie. photos, music, movies.

I thought that with DLNA I'd have had less cables..so i'd have to drive my car in videogames better

I've played onlive with mhl and the onlive controller. It works awesome if you have fast internet. The controller can be a pita to connect

DLNA only let's you stream photo, music, and some kinds of video, so games wont work, at least not with htcs adapter

Possible to stream videos to xbox 360?

Apologies if this is a stupid question...
When I record a video on my phone, I'd like to be able to stream the clip on to my television through AllShare. Sadly, my television won't play the files. Neither will my 360.
Is it simply that neither will recognise the file format? Or am I doing something completely wrong?
I don't think the 360 supports the playback of recorded videos. I couldn't get mine to work when I tried.
It seemed to be pushing a 3gpp video instead of the mp4 when I did it. Maybe the fact that it was 1080p didn't help either.
Must give it another go at some point.

You can stream via allshare to the xbox, but the xbox has to be in media center mode.

Can you stream a video?

I have discovered a nasty little bug in the prime, mainly that the wifi (without BT on, mind you) is so slow that I cant even stream a 240p video without it buffering and stopping every few seconds. Can the rest of you stream video fine? (Not only from the YouTube app but from online sources)
I can see streams from Justin.tv at 720+ resolution without problems. Is it just happening on your prime? Can you see the same streams fine on a PC or laptop via wireless?

Yeah, it works just fine on my laptop.

Streamed media

Hi guys
This may be a dumb question, but how can I watch streamed video from another network device ( PC, NAS, ...) in my XS? Is there an app that connects to these servers?

but it is not working, that is why I was asking. The only thing I can get working is mirror from the chromecast app.
oh ... I have followed the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-hd/general/how-to-upgrade-to-lollipop-root-gapps-t3163950 and it works fine ... I am using a previously configured Chromecast that was recognized fine without any particular procedure to follow
I don't have a chromecast device but a Samsung Smart TV.
Casting youtube videos onto the TV over Wifi works like a charm on my rooted Fireos 4.5.5 Fire HD 7.

What app are you using to cast? I haven't gotten one to work with my new Samasung Smart yet. (oh, I'm on 5.2.2. Maybe that matters.) thx
Just the youtube app from google apps. My Samsung TV(a 2012 model) has the Youtube app preinstalled and it just..worked.
I was genuinely surprised.

Is this possible?

I'm wondering if it's possible to edit android apps like xfinitytv and directv to play with a different video player ie mx etc
Thanks
