Hi guys,
Battery life is big deal for most of us... I would like you all to post the scripts you are running(if any) to improve your phone's battery life.
Thanks!

I've seen plenty of threads on XDA that tell you how to get better performance using the sysctl app, but what I'm interested in is battery life. I know that certain settings within sysctl help improve both both battery and performance based on their functionality, but I also know that in some ways it can be a give/take between performance/battery. my quadrant score is already good enough thanks to cyanogenmod, so I'd be willing to sacrifice 100 points if it would get a few more hours out of my battery.
anyone have any insight on accomplishing this? again, I don't want better performance, there's enough info on that. I want better battery.
Hey guys.
I build up my private rom and really like to know if its usefull to add Juwe11 tweaks:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111145
We have a high end device, dual core and 1 GB ram.
So what do you all think and have someone allready tried them?
Thank you.

I find them useful...
Do you get any performance improvments?
Does it effect you battery life?
thanks

small performance improvements.. battery life isn't any different from not using it.

The tweak isn't the only one that helps the performance in my ROM though.... there are several other init.d scripts /build.prop tweaks you can play with to test...
If you're looking at getting the best battery, the kernel you use is just as important...
Some other opinions?
Have a look how many custom roms use it .

No.
I want to know if it makes sense to use not how many devs making "copy&paste".
Also user experiences are welcome.
have it your way
But if some of the devs who know what they are doing use it thats not the same as those that copy and paste .would be my view which is an opinion .

Just post what's the best kernel you've ever tried for battery life, so that we can have the main point of view.
Also, if you want, post the ROM used and specify the version used.
I we get many votes, I'll make a graph for newbie users.
ChriskeloRom v25
Kernel v2.0
Battery life 1day 3hours 37% left
Usage intermediate.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
With so many variables your not going to find best kernel for battery life since it's not just the kernel that effects battery life.....
Firmware/Modem/Carrier/Kernel/OC/Installed programs etc will all effect battery life along with user patterns...
Not Development hence thread closed.
Hi,
I bought Oneplue Two, was running on the stock kernel for some time, then the battery life was way too bad. Then read a few posts, and suggestions to use the AK kernel. I flashed it, installed amplify, greenify to increase the batttery life but again, it reduced my battery life from bad to worse, now i am using Sandy Kernel, i need to know how do i tweak it, how to use synapse, how to use kernel auditor and what should i do to get good battery back up with out compromising the performance. And yeah would it reduce the heat on my device
PS : Noob in kernel and stuff please help:crying:
Hey folks, I am wondering what tweaks, xposed modules and kernel mods would be helpful if I put the priority on maximising battery life on this phone? It has(for now) far more power than I need and I would like to restrain it to minimum performance and thus, battery consumption.
What's your suggestions on modification which are worth doing?
I am thinking of thermal managers, changing cpu frequencies, debloating, etc.
I would like to update the OP to leave it as a guide as this thread develops.
Thanks!
