Best rom for sound - HTC EVO 3D

Dear ppl
I have just purchased a pair of marshall minor headphones just wondering which rom is the best for sound, tried roms with beats but currently using shooter beats but using power amp, any views please, gsm roms

OLYMPUS Titan HD ODEXed V2!!
nice features and loudest i have found

Infected eternity 1.4.2. With chads older kernels....if u can find it.
sent from America....F__k yeah!

Eternity isnt GSM afaik, especially not 1.4.2
Is Olympus GSM too? I know it is CDMA.
Best bet would be Joelz's Warm 3.5 ROM. Just use SVN to pull revision r116 and compile that. Later revisions dont sound as nice. This ROM is both CDMA and GSM compatible and sounds 2nd best of all ROMs, 2nd only to Eternity 1.4.2 + Beats fix v2. However that combo is not available on GSM so 2nd best will have to do.
Also, loudest doesnt mean best.

Only you will be able to tell what works best for your device and your ears.
A search would have told you best rom threads are closed on sight.

[Q] Beats Audio on Non Beats Rom for GSM

Hi developers, I was wondering if anyone has the skill and free time to port this mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308993
to the GSM evo 3d. i am aware that there are gsm roms with beats already incorporated however my phone came with a newer ruu (1.22.707.2)and crypt0`s rom is the only rom supported. i know this is possible because people have already started porting CDMA roms to GSM. Thanks in advance

Beats Audio available for rooted devices

This looks like a lawsuit just waiting to happen, but its out there if you want it.

I have not tried it but most likely it won't work on HC the audio libs and routing are different between GB and HC. I'd say of you want it get it fast. If I were HTC I'd be on these guys like stink after paying $300mil for the Beats licence.
As I understand it, this mod will give you some of the Beats effect.
Quote “hello i created a zip i pulled the beats audio libs and bin files from a rom with beats audio and also added the xloud files to make it sound with better quality and also in some cases sounds even louder i have beats audio headphones and i was able to tell the difference try it out and let me know thanks “
I don’t think you can get full Beats without a kernel rewrite.
Here is a quote from someone who did incorporate the beats driver into a kernel for another device
“ I run warm rom 3.5 build 116 with my kernel... My kernel compared to the rezound on a spectrum analyzer is way better than the stock rezound in frequency response, snl levels, frequency range, distortion, and power output. My rezound kernel per user feed back on xda makes the stock kernel sound like crap ”
I have full Beats Audio on my HTC Evo 4G Phone and it required rom software and a custom kernel.

Just read this seems as HTC has opened up beats audio
http://blog.htc.com/2012/03/new-apis/
HTC opened their APIs so people could write apps to use Sense and other HTC Libs on HTC devices, not so people could steal their libs to put on other devices.
HTC bought and owns the rights to the Beats audio libs.
so won't work with HC? ugh. i want beats for HC bc i sit in bed listening to music through my rezound and using my view lol

Which ICS Rom Has Best Audio?

Hi all,
I'm not trying to create competition. I remember one of the ICS roms I tried on here had INCREDIBLE audio, far beyond just megabass. Everyone talked about the audio...I cannot find which one it is! Any ideas?
i like Paul's updated v02 cm9, not the oxp. because he put SRS WOW n TruBass effect n panel to his rom. more better than beat's mod.
Hmm I don't think that's the one I tested, it was older by a few months. But I like the sound of ... the sound mods in that one. And they come out well?
I don't know which rom it was I tried, I know it was an early ICS port and the dev didn't mention much about the audio...but the improvement was INCREDIBLE, many people said so. I was wondering was that mods or the upgraded ICS libs, features. etc.

[Q] Sense vs. ICS sound quality

Has anybody else noticed just how much better Sense sounds? I flashed Joelz's CM9 kang and took a drive in my truck. Sense has a lower more responsive bass and overall a more rounded sound. There are entire drum beats I'm not hearing on ICS. I noticed this on the earlier builds too, so it's not specific to this one.
I've been messing around with DSP manager, but I still can't seem to get that sound. Anyone have a good DSP setup they're willing to share?

I have (on the HD2, but I believe the cause my by the same).
It's discussed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1628041
According to Mike of MeanRom, none of the equalizer apps, including Dsp, work on the Evo 3d Ics leak. Adjusting sound in the app does not change sound tone. I noticed this over my headphones too. I don't have the exact post, but it is in the MeanRom forum.

That must have something to do with it, but the difference is way past just an equalizer. People think it's drivers/libs related.

custom rom with 3D?

Hello all,
I'm looking for a new rom, that have 3D working fine...
Can someone point me some link? I've seen so many but all of them look great but no 3D working - if i have a 3D phone i want it to work
Thanks.
Any rom based off of stock has 3d working. Which roms have you flashed that don't have 3d?
"We're coming from a pure power source."
More info is needed also. Are you CDMA or GSM?

I'm GSM
I'm using this one that for now looks very good: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1245424
Any other suggestions?
I don't know, mine is CDMA, maybe someone else has some suggestions.

Leedroid is good but I found it to have battery issues. If you don't mind dropping sense and It's accompanying widgets try romeos (preferably with anryl 10.07 kernel), it has a very nice ICS theme and fantastic battery life, as well as more free ram at any given time, not to mention it fully supports 3D.

is 3d camera working
is the 3d camera function in the latest version of LEEDROID custom rom for evo 3d working? what are the feature which is not working with this version thanks.
All sense 3 roms based upon stock will support 3D pics, videos and cam and gaming, sense 3.5 supports pics, videos and cam but not gaming.
The reason for this is HTC have only released the one version of android for EVO 3D, some dev's made the newer version of android work, version 2.3.5 (sense 3.5), based upon the Sensation XL.
Sense 3.6 and Sense 4.0 roms, both android 4, currently have no 3D support and only partially working cameras, depending on your hardware.
2 x 5mp cameras on the back, will not work with any of them.
Only 5mp and 2mp will work.
The only way this will ever change is when HTC release ICS for the EVO 3D.
Probably around June (or so i'm told)
I'd stick with leedroid
I have no battery issues, i get a full day out of my phone.
All 3D functions work

Same here lad, just re flashed it again, been using warm, but got fcs all the time.
So leedroid was a good choice i think
When you talk about battery, what's the average time you can get? I have to charge my phone 2 to 3 times each day depending if i use wifi, if i use games,...
Other thing that i notice is that the battery only goes up to 99%. Never to 100% of charge.
Concerning the games, as i don't have 3d games anymore (after the flash) i can't tell if they work or not Probably i'll have to buy them but as i haven't decided 100% the rom to use, i'll wait some more time.

Can you drop here the link? This way will be easier for me and all others that might find this thread useful to take a look to the rom you're talking about
Ok, find it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1288949
Just adding my twopence worth, i find that for full funvtionallity, i alwaus use romeos unsenceslated, with anryl kernel, so you can play 3d games, 3d photos, all work, only problem is, i find myself missing sense, iv just came from an se phone so that has made me miss sense, i find leedroid a batt drain and laggy rom, so i tried the infectedrom, its so much snappier, its sense 3.5 so 3d games dont work, fair enough, i bought the phone because of the screen, processor and batt size, but i find taking pics and vids in 3d is amazing, so i can still do this with this rom, so its my daily rom, oh and batt lasts longer so far, thats my evo 3d story so far......

Sorry but i can't understand what you're telling not because you don't tell it right, but because i just can't get to the same level of knowledge that you have (i'm noob ).
I'm just a simple user that is looking for a good rom, reliable, with all or most of the functions working - if i buy a 3D phone i think should work 3D. The same with wifi, bluetooth, ...
Other thing that made me look for something else than stock rom was the fact that the phone that i've bought don't come with my language (Portuguese PT-PT). Yes, I know now that if this was the only problem with stock rom i could just changed the firmware with stock... but i only realized that after i have the phone ready to take custom roms so i thought: if I've void my phone warranty i might just try some improved roms
If you can give your contribution I'll be much appreciated, even more because i've seen very good threads from you and i know that you know tons in this issues
