I am using the one A18O has posted. There are pretty much daily updates and a lot of work from the other members in the thread.
Here is a link to the one I am talking about for sure.
The only issue I have had is that it does not do a mediascan on boot, so there is no accessing music from SD. Other than that, pretty stable so far and very few complaints by me. Hell, even the camera app loads.

You have no many choices
As for now you have no many choices: or based on Phothon -http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1444637 - which according to replies rather stable or Atrix CM9 pure test build - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1403372

guys....not yet time!! wait for some more time and post this ques!

Just download "rescan media" from the market - allows you to force a media scan at any time.

Right now the CM9 ROMS are in alpha stage so things like camera, video playback, and gapps don't work quite right yet.
I'd wait a few months before going into CM9 if I were you.
I'd recommend either Gingermod, or Neutrino Roms for the time being. They're pretty good.

By the way Neutrino developed hinted that there is a possibility for Neutrino CM9. Will be greate

cm9
I installed jokersax11's cm9 yesterday, battery life great, no fc's I will be using this as my daily driver from now on. The only thing that may hold someone back is the lack of camera.

There's a list of known issues in the ICS thread. Its my daily driver.
Ics build 6 is amazing and it is my daily driver for sure. Mms works and video/camera does also and it's super fast so I would most definitely recommend ics.

No reboots yet, currently using Medroid 6.1. Texasice and miui are good too.
No hw acceleration yet, but for me that just means no games or videos.

Google Chrome for Android

Just saw this article http://news.cnet.com/8301-30685_3-57368713-264/three-years-on-chrome-at-last-arrives-on-android/. Looks like it's only for ICS devices. I wonder if it would work on cm9 kangs?
Guess it isn't compatible, just read in the cm9 dev thread that it doesn't work.
Tried it myself, it looks like it will work but it just gives you the white screen.
I installed it on CM9 on my Atrix and it didn't work. Installs and runs fine, but never loads a site! WSOD!
Won't work with Atrix, it requires hardware acceleration.

From today and now it works with the lastest CM9 Joker version
Working on atrix
on jokersax alpha 1.1.3.It does work but still a bit buggy
I'm using on my atrix on CM9 Beta 0.1.0 2d. It is Lightning fast, but there is some issues
it keeps crashing. it is very unstable as of now.
I also read somewhere that Chrome would never support flash. Lets all hope that was not correct
Was just using this on ICS (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445052) it's a bit buggy tbh but the way it syncs with my computer is great
Buggy and No flash, well it's a beta.
works for me.
the only bug i've seen so far is that I can't use the tabs, it just crashes without a warning...
i'm on jokersax's 2d latest beta (0.1.0?)
it works flawless on my teamEOS xoom though
Currently i am using the CM9 rom and one thing bugging me here, FP navigation.is there any way to turn it of???

As far as stability and usability goes, I don't think you can beat imperium initiative. Its amazing and completely underrated... As for me I can't stay away from cm9 for some reason. Camera pisses me off sometimes but whatever, things get more promising with every release.
I love threads like this as a newcomer to this phone it helps me know which ones to consider I can't vote yet I guess until I upgrade May 1st

I actually didn't have much problem with the stock rom, except that for me voice command kept starting up out of no where and the audio would occasionally with speed up to chipmunk speed.

[Q] best ICS or JB ROM?

Hey guys, I'm working a lot of hours and I need to have a reliable phone, which ICS or JB ROM is best? I'm new to this phone, so, I don't know what my options are.

I would say epinter one is the most reliable one for now. i bet he is cooking somthing good with his atm ROM and the leak also, so it would be even better.

Did you say reliable?
Then forget about both ICS and JB and go with GB. Any variant will do.
ICS/JB ROMs are just too unfinished yet to be a reliable daily driver, IMO. People are woking hard on them though, so there is no doubt they will one day become as reliable as good old GB.
Agreed.

This is a very accurate summary of where we stand. I'm still running Nottachtrix 1.3.1 even though Nottach left the Atrix over a month ago, just because everything works on it. Bluetooth, wifi, HWA, Ubuntop, all cameras, and even a decent selection of themes for both android and linux.
But with the new leak libs, there is sure to be a fantastic CM9/10 ROM that takes advantage of them. We just have to be patient.
Hi
If you're not using thoroughly your phone, the CM10 form Epinter is now reliable enough for a daily use.
I was using CM7 since months, and after trying CM10 last week, i'm still using it and have found no real limitations for a basic usage.
I'd recommend you to keep a GB based rom if you want to have the most reliable system and if video recording is a primary need for you.
Just my $.02: I don't even use the "latest" GB 2.3.7 ROM: I've returned to Neutrino 2.6 EE (the latest is 2.91 at this writing). CM 7.2 RC1 was the most stable + efficient ROM from the CM gurus for my Atrix. I charge my phone once every two or three days too.
Think about driving a car that everyone laughs at that's never needing to go to the shop. Gits ya there, gits ya back, reliably and without anyone really paying attention to it, and it just goes and goes and holds its own against everyone else. Newest doesn't always mean best; trustworthiness does.
Epinter's CM10 worked OK for me despite the few well known bugs.
You might give the brand new AtrICS ROM a shot. It's hard to believe that it could already be as stable as it claims to be, but with working hardware acceleration, it should have some bugs fixed as compared to CM10.

epinter JB rom
I am using epinter's JB rom and it works flawlessly.
Thanks,
Jinesh
I switched from epinter's CM10 to AtrICS today and found it to be a fairly usable. You trade some features for others.
I prefer the interface of CM10 to AtrICS, but AtrICS feels really snappy thanks to the HWA. I'll probably get used to ICS after a while. The Camera works well, but, like others I noticed that after switching from the back camera to the front, there was some corruption on the right side of the screen. Going into Camera Settings and unchecking then rechecking the Widescreen box fixes this. There are problems with the unlock screen of AtrICS; it can be slow to appear when you press the power button and I have seen the screen turn on for a split second before turning right back off. If you let the phone go into a deep sleep, you may see a black screen for a minute, in my case the unlock screen did eventually appear. I've had one reboot right after closing a bunch of apps running in the background then trying to open a browser.
WiFi works great with AtrICS and mobile data feels faster than I remember.
My mobile gone hot after a few minute use AtrICS, and experienced network lost. The phone also hot with epinter 's version.
Restored TopSmart1.3. GB has the stablity I trust.

Just realized that after I posted it. How do they compare to the tw roms?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
You are asking a question where there is no right answer. And it has been asked before MANY MANY times by others.
All answers will be subjective, and the only right answer is for you to try each of them. Maybe start with TW-based ICS roms, because they are most stable and close to stock experience. Once you know what you like and what you don't like, then, try some JB roms and others for different flavors. You can tell which ones are popular by the number of posts on the thread.
I am on Nebula (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1963437&highlight=nebula).
I started with PA for awhile, and loved the custom DPI option. It was awesome. But started to miss S-Note/S-Memo. The alternate apps and pen gesture worked, but they weren't the same.
So, I went to Padawan V5. It was very good, with all the stock features. But, there were some AT&T stuff popping up in contacts which was annoying.
Then I went to Nebula, basically the same as Padawan, but based on Canadian ICS rom. Everything works, no bloat.
I have been thinking about going to Padawan V8, but now that my fiance has Note2, we use NFC, so I decided not to.

Yep still on fj. Check your apps, I had installed kik a while back and it would just murder my battery, barely 8 hours with 42min of screen time. Any app with push notifications does partial wake locks so apps like Facebook, news runners and weather monitors.
