HTC sensation widgets - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi everyone. May i ask some of you to try some good widgets in htc sensation like weather, clock and calendar? They are amazing, but when i get the apk files and i try to install or copy and paste using rootexplorer nothing happens. Any one can make this one in neo? Thanks!

I think that is imposible because htc is using "sense" interface and ui wich you can see only on thers phones. But maybe Im thinking wrong.
Sorry on my english.

Exactly, and you will need to change your buil.prop to HTC and use the Sense launcher. But beautiful widgets and other apps can replicate most widgets.

Won't work as all the Widgets require using Rosie.apk (sense launcher) and this requires htcresources.apk in framework
So unless there is a official port of HTC sense then you wouldn't be able to get any sense Widgets working at all.... except the lookalikes
But porting sense is a difficult task which is beyond the knowledge on anyone that would be willing to do it in Neo forum

That's why you should root your phone and you would not have this problem.

Most of them compiled are probably for AOSP based images/layout and also are probably built with the minSDKversion set to 9 (GingerBread) instead of 8 (froyo).
I am rooted buddy. But its just that some themes on regular (Sense) Rom are better looking than the 7 stock ones that mysense brings.

You should try some of the themes on Gorillas Tom. Their the best!

Sense theme engine themes
I am working on a couple of themes for the sense theme engine.
Anyone interested in these types of themes should post what they would want to see as a future theme here in this thread. Testers needed !!!
Stock sense rom with maybe window animations flip, etc... would be cool. I love the Cm7 screen off and on animation. Battery status indicator like Royals, with huge numbers, not the little numbers hidden in an android or circle bar.

The template is limited, but I am working on adding more edits to the theme structure.
If you can design it, I can build it.
I am working with behold_this on his custom theme. I can help anyone that wants to try to create their idealistic vision become possible.
Let me know what you want done and we can make it possible.
I'm looking for a really minimalistic theme. No bevels or anything... Lots of solid black and white vectorish type stuff. It'd be nice if you could pull that off.

[Requests] Royal Panache Themes

Royal Panache is one of the best new Glacier ROMs and I'd love to see some themes for it. When I was using Virtuous Fusion, I had a cool Desire HD theme that was all dark with glowing green accents. I'd love to see something like that, with a dark-themed Market and Gmail. Just no custom fonts like that DHD theme had. I'd I want fonts, I'll do them myself.

Use those, bunch of skins...
I'm really not sure what theme it was. I grabbed it from a link in the Virtuous Fusion thread without really paying any attention beyond the screenshots the guy posted and that he said it worked fine. Probably not the best policy now that I think about it.

Those skins just change the look of the launcher, though, right? I use ADW EX so that wouldn't do much for me.

The skins are for the sense launcher only...If you use ADW, why not use MIUI or AOSP instead? Those have a larger range of themes...But, yo ucan always google UOT Kitchen and use the online theme kitchen for the rom your using.
Good suggestion on the theme kitchen. I'll have to check that out.
As for using a sense ROM with ADW EX, I prefer that because of some of the underlying sense features and apps, particularly the camera and browser and contacts.

Im using he_stheone64 honey theme. I also got it from the desire hd forum. Nothing too crazy. Just some blue, few new icons and transperant pull down. Looks good and no issues.
Would be great though if some one made some specific for the glacier.

According to the Royal Panache thread, an official theme for it should be added sometime soon.

[Q] AOSP/AOKP noob

Just started running Neo's AOSP rom, loving it so far. The only thing I miss about Sense is some of the widgets. Is it possible to use sense widgets on a non sense rom?

No.
Edit: To further expound on that, you would need the Sense framework and Rosie (Sense launcher)

check this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1732330 it has an exact clone of the Sense 4 Flip clock widget for other launchers (even works in AOSP)
+1 for Android Pro Widgets. Gives you a lot you may miss from Sense. Beautiful Widgets is good for the clock/weather widget we all know so well from Sense, but lately I've been using HD Widgets for the clock/weather, which I like a little better.

Anyone know if we can use the standard ICS gapps with AOKP/AOSP or if the rom dev has to supply them?

You can use standard on any. Neo provides some themed ones for his roms ,but they aren't necessary.
Neo has a download on his aosp and aokp roms for inverted gapps, and another flashable download to turn the inverted apps back to normal.

(Q) HTC stock flipcklock widget

Hi mates,
I searched everywhere but couldn't find. I'm looking for the flipclock widget 4x1 to install on my not rootet desire x running stock jelly bean. Made a screenshot of the fancy widget. Could somebody help me out solving my problem?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
This widget is not included in any stock rom. It is part of full sense, which is in roms such as mySENSEdx. I'd suggest to have a look at that. There is no way to get that widget on a stock rom.
~Shadow
Damn! It's so sad that HTC included so much useless widgets and deleted that one. But thank you for the quick response!
Don't want to install a custom Rom.

Well...
There are only like a dozen different clones of the HTC flip clock widget.
1. Beautiful Widgets
2. HD Widgets
3. Fancy Widget
4. Sense Flip Clock & Weather
5. 3D Flip Clock & World Weather
All of these will work on any ROM on any phone, some are even free. This is one of the most cloned Android programs in existence.
Enjoy.

Yes you are right. There are a lot of clones. As you can see in the screenshot, I'm using one. But it's not the same.
Maybe a dev will port it in the near future.

Unfortunately, this will never be "ported" exactly. Since HTC likes to sue everyone who made a "clone" of their flip clock widget.
I would personally recommend HD widgets, you can make a flip clock that is very, very, close to the HTC one.

is thereba way to use sense weather clock widget on third party launcher?

No, I don't think it is. Even if you wanted to port it, I read that it's difficult to port because Htc framework.
I think there are some skins for uccw on play though.

Use can use UCCW with some skins too. It's way more customizable than those two mentioned above.

You should try Apex launcer + Fancy Widgets (has a clock weather 4x1).
But still Sense remains the best...

Here is a tutorial for UCCW itself -
And for Sense skins - just type "UCCW Sense Skin" in Google and you will find few of them.
Or you can just install widgets mentioned above. It's easier, but lacks customization.
cool. thanks guys
