[Q] Help using the HTC unlock bootloader method - HTC EVO 3D

I tried searching around for information unlocking the bootloader ver 1.50 on my EVO 3D but it doesn't get to the screen where it shows the disclaimer if you want to unlock the boot loader or not. I am on HBOOT 1.50 and the software version is 2.17.651.5 and android 2.3.4. I followed the method on HTCDEV dot COM and also read somewhere it works with software version 2.08 and LATER.
So basically while the phone is in FASTBOOT USB and I use the "fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin" code in the command prompt it just stays on the FASTBOOT USB screen and doesn't pull up the disclaimer. Anyone have what may be wrong?
Thanks

Follow those directions and you wont have an issue.

did you cd to the right directory in command line?

Was having this same damn problem..just got an EVO 3D yesterday and wouldn't get past the unlock code part..so just run the 2.08 RUU and I'm good to go?

You can check Setting>Power>Fast boot being ticked? If so un-tick.
This messed me up once ...

I have a brand new, three day old 3devo. It came with 2.08 and Hboot 1.5. I did the OTA update to 2.17.
Mine wouldn't let me "drop back" to 2.08. I had to re-install 2.17 over the "OTA" update that was on my phone using the RUU 2.17 executable
Once I reinstalled 2.17, I was able to get a new unlock code from HTC and everything went through like it should.

[How To] Get Out of Security Warning (after "fastboot lock oem" from HTCDev unlock)
Note: This has only been tested on an Hboot 1.5 Evo 3D CDMA, results may vary
Okay so this morning I wanted to flash MeanRom, but saw that I needed to update to the latest firmware, and that I had to lock my phone, get the firmware, unlock, and flash likewise. I hooked my phone to the PC, entered fastboot, and executed the "fastboot oem lock" command. After that, my phone showed "Relocked" and under it "Security Warning", and wouldn't boot into the system or recovery, only fastboot. Here is what I did to fix...
1. Find my unlock token for my phone
-Sidenote, for those that dont have it, log in to your HTCDev and pretend like you want to unlock your phone again. Skip until you get to the section where it tells you to use the "fastboot oem get_identifier_token" command, get your token, follow HTCDev's steps and get your unlock token (What I had to do)
2. Enter fastboot and fastboot flash unlocktoken "whatever-you-named-your-token.bin" (without quotes)
3. There you have it, you can now access your phone again. I was frantic before common sense kicked in (If LOCKING did this, I wonder what UNLOCKING would do? Hmmm?)
This isn't the next "Unbrickable Mod" but I googled for almost 2 hours and didnt find a post that told how to do this anywhere.

After getting the Unlock code
After getting the unlock code attachment from my email from HTCDev, I try to use the fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin, but to no avail.
Aureolus-Medice:rootevo3dnew jlrdz$ fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
-bash: fastboot: command not found
So I tried to use ./fastboot-mac since I'm on a mac, and this shows:
Aureolus-Medice:rootevo3dnew jlrdz$ ./fastboot-mac flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
error: cannot load 'Unlock_code.bin'
It's different because it shows that error on the loading instead of "command not found" in the first one.
Please help. Thank you
P.S. my phone's info is that it only loads to fastboot and displays this:

You can also just run the RUU from that point, It'll flash a new locked bootloader anywho, Unlock after that, Less steps.
Get rit off Security Warning if u wanna take an official update on HTC ONE X
Hey guys, let me share how a succed to escape off that annoyng notification SECURITY WARNING in Hboot menu and update to 3.18.401.1
1- do not Relock your bootloader, because fastboot command wont work( i did that and i could not do even a factory reset)
2- i opened a CMD in folder that i have download OneX Root.zip and I flash the stock recovery. Many of you know how to do this. After the usual restart, i checked softwere update, and it work to instal . WITHOUT BRICKING
The command is: C:\Users\Stefan\Downloads\OneXRoot> fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
It work for me, i own a HTC One X(Europe). Sorry for bad english.
Re: [How To] Get Out of Security Warning (after "fastboot lock oem" from HTCDev unloc
Hey guys you don't have to go through all that trouble to update the firmware unless you are s-on for s-off it is just a simple flash from a bootloader zip. I bounce between bootloaders depending on the ROM I use.
If you are not s-off I would suggest doing it. Life becomes so much easier once you are s-off and the process is not hard.

Help!!! HTC flyer bricked ???

Explanations:

When I select reboot it restarts and boots up the a white screen with HTC in green and stays this way.
When I try running the RUU again it does the same thing, just sits on sending.......
I am able to get to fastboot and hboot screen.
I am able to use flashboot
I am not able to to use adb
When I click recovery it just blinks and boots back up to Hboot so I'm thinking I don't have a recovery.
I tried running HTC unlock website again but I recieve an error when running the flashbook unlock command.
I'm thinking the since I'm S-ON I can't run recovery from flashboot
Please help......

put it in fastboot mode and run the RUU again.
from fastboot
fastboot oem rebootRUU
Run stock ruu (only if you have the exe)
do you have the ruu.exe or just the zip?
if its just the zip make sure you run cmd with administrator rights and make sure the ruu zip is in the directory where your fastboot resides. on a windows 7 box (Program Files (x84)/Android/android-sdk/platform-tools)
then:
fastboot flash zip ruu_zip_name.zip
Good luck

This should work for you, I had similar issues, and had to run fastboot commands to get it loaded right. This is the best explanation I've seen, should be added somewhere in the pinned docs.
Also you may have another option.
hboot 1.10.0000 is a stock hboot for the BB wifi flyer.
From fastboot you should be able to run revolutionary to gain s-off irregardless of your rom state. after you have s-off its just a matter of do you want HC or GB.
You can always relock the bootloader once you have a working rom again.
I have the HC s-off ruu. its buried in a thread somewhere but i'd be happy to host it somewhere so you could download it.

[Q] get rid of ***RELOCKED***???

has anybody succesfully gotten rid of ***RELOCKED*** on the 3d after rooting? i went back to stock so i am s-on again but want to get rid of the relocked message.
I have a gsm model. Reflashed ruu via pg86img to older version from my carrier. Then fastboot command 'fastboot oem writesecureflag 3' and then I was back to s-on showing lock not relock
I was revolutionary s-off

Same here got the ruu from xda then run the ruu then head to %TEMP% folder in windows and copy the rom.zip then rename it to PG86IMG.zip place it on sd , boot into bootloader on phone and update. this makes your phone like brand new from factory then connect to pc open command prompt and type "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" this turns s-off too s-on after this reboot bootloader and you will see ***locked*** s-on
But to do that, you have to be s-off first.
Otherwise there's no way to flash the img via bootloader if i'm not mistaken.
I just tried it (s-on / relocked) and neither the flashing or the fastboot command works unfortunately

cant you use the revolutionary method to s-off then flash the ruu zip? then use the command to s-on again. worked for me on hboot 1.4.9.0018 this gives you ***locked*** not relocked!

HTC Warranty.I'm from Europe
ok i do have sprint...i want the locked message...not relocked.
For me on Sprint version, no matter what I did it would show relocked if I was on hboot 1.50. If i was on hboot 1.40 it was fine. So I stayed 1.40 on went s-on. But HTC may actually upgrade it and check. Not sure.
so if im hboot 1.50 and root, i could downgrade to 1.40 then flash a ruu to loose root and it will show locked in stead of relocked?
does this work if i unlocked the bootloader with the HTCDev method instead of revolutionary?? my evo 3d is GSM

Evo 3d s on?

I tried to unroot my Evo because i want to sell it with normal software.
But i have s off with revolutionary and not with the HTC method so how i put s back on
Easiest way is to probably run the stock 2.17 RUU on Windows.
this worked like a charm for me
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1710033
Now i have the stock RUU but in fastboot it still says s-off how i disable this?
Relock the bootloader with the command: fastboot oem lock

NOOOOO!
That will brick your phone. You must have a stock signed bootloader such as 1.50 or 1.58 installed before issuing that command, and the best way to do that is to flash an RUU.

Maybe you were on hboot 1.4 which is an earlier version of the stock bootloader.
Regarding getting S-OFF, you could trying the wire trick method in my guide.

I got it bricked, and down to 1.40.... There is *NO* red dim light like some say. It just sits there, you DO have to plug it back in quickly after unplugging it after the 4 seconds and leave it plugged in for a bit (I waited until downgrade CD booted.) Then unplug, you can put batt cover back on, select "Downgrade" and follow instructions: press vol - and plug it in, the emmc_recovery will kick in then, and write the partitions, it will ask you to unplug again, then replugin pressing vol - and it will say SUCCESS! after 2 writes.

Reverting everything

So, there is the situation -
I have got a HTC Evo 3D (GSM) European version i guess, becuase on the box it says "This equipment may be operated in: AT BE .... DK EE FR DE GR...." basicly its European
So to the problem,
I Need to revert it back to Stock, I mean everything, because im going to give it away and the person needs it stock like just from the shop, no root, no S-OFF no bootlocker unlocked, so my Question is - what i have to do? and before you spam me - check the tuts, search the forums, i have done that but i didnt get a good hang of it so i want real person to person explaining me stuff, so i dont brick it or anything.

Simple.
download RUU or PG86IMG.zip (Make sure its the correct one for your device)
Once the update has been applied and your phone reboots go into bootloader, enter fastboot usb then in cmd type in "fastboot oem lock" without the ""
Your phone should now be back to 100% stock.
Thanks but i dont have an original RUU, any hints where can i get and how do i know its right for my device, what do i look for?
P.S. ok i think i got the RUU i guess this will do? RUU_SHOOTER_U_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_3.28.401.1_Radio_11.77.3504.00U_11.25.3504.06_M_release_262714_signed.exe
anyway should i just execute and install it or i need to pull the rom.zip or something out of it and flash that? btw i want the stock kernel too.
P.S.S. and i hear that fasboot oem lock will do only the re-locked thing on the bootloader, is there any chance to get it locked?
