Has anyone got one of these yet? It's a monster, thinking of getting one myself.
Would like to know your experiences with it, how long does battery last for you, what rom are you running and what is your clock speed set to.
Cheers.

Seen some seidio brand also wondering how they hold up. I bought a brand new seidio 1900 mha slim for 25 bucks. Might get a fat one someday.
Not heard of sedio, will check them out, i always thought that the mugen batteries were the best, i've had some of them in the past, just not for the evo, they've always been high grade.

I'm wonder if there is any batteries out there that you have seen from a brand you trust that use the stock diamentions as the stock battery, eg doesn't require extended back casing, only one I know of is the Seidio's 1400mAh, is there anything higher? Better brand, better price?
the only ones i've seen bigger have the extended batteries. they go up to 2600mAh.
buy one. believe me. its worth the big back/ugly bump.
function>aesthetics anyday(at least for me)
I already have one 2600mAh from Seidio, I do enjoy the extra grip when qwerty typing but I don't enjoy it in my pocket. Thus the reason I'm asking, rather get 2 x 1400mAh batts and shove one in my wallet if you know what I mean
i feel the exact opposite. i dont mind it as much when im not using it. when im holding it i cant stand it. but i do like the fact i dont have to keep a charger handy all the time. i know theres a couple normal size batteries around that SAY there 1600mAh and up but there kind of shaky to me. no brand name, barely even a name at all half the time. i wont trust anything besides seidio for extended life, i have a seidio 3400mAh i think in my tilt and its EPIC.

The results will suprise you...
so it seems like it may not be entirely beneficial to get the 1600(or 1700) mah battery?
Keep in mind that only HTC original batteries have the finest "part" in switching into tickle charge mode (the moment when the battery gets full and quits charging)
2600 mAh battery on G1
Hey guys, so I purchased a 2600 mAh battery for my G1. I LOVE it! My G1 stays on for days! Despite having the extended back on the phone I think it was well worth it.I got it on EBay for pretty darn cheap too. Anyways...I don't have any screen shots of it as of right now but I'll try to get some up. My phone does look like a brick but the battery life is improved so much! Look them up on EBay if you would like to buy one, anywhere else is probably a rip off. Anyways...just thought I'd give my two cents. Take it easy guys! TTYL!
I really want the Seidio 2600 but I've gotten attached to my hard case, it has the hinged feet, and I'm not sure that 1400 would be worth the cash for the amount gained IMO... If Seidio made a hard case with the feet on the back it would be perfect.
Just bought a seidio 2600, 51 shipped from amazon. It's a little high compaired to the 2300 for like 30 or so from ebay, but I think it's worth it for a good branded 3rd party accessory.

people have been talking about a 1600mah battery made by Andida, a Hong Kong-based company. from what it seems, they make quality batteries and some people at XDA have them. it fits into the regular G1 back... it's on ebay: obo_hk or something. $10. otherwise yeah the 2600mah seidio's are best. i just bought the seidio or would switch to the Andida. maybe my dad will let me do a return since the Seidio was bought on Amazon
The stock G1 feels nice in the hand, but it lacks that "You can beat a man to death with it" charm...

the Andidas from Ebay. I can't remember the link right now... anyone??? but they're 1600mAh and I got two... just in case i need an extra on a road trip or something, WITHOUT EXTRA-THICK smartphones
i just got mine 2 days ago , its working great

thanks alot
I got one of these 2 days ago, and all i can say is excellent, its on sale right now for $29.99 from $59.99
my battery has not dropped below 50% as yet which is good for me as i burn thru the regular battery in less than 4 hours.
The rear case isnt to hideous neither, says 3d and has a texture, very comfortable, great fit and grip
well worth a shout, i had the seido extended battery and this last longer so far
http://www.accessoryswamp.com/3500mah-extended-life-htc-evo-3d-battery.html
i can take pictures of my phone sporting the case if anyone wants to see
Not too bad. I like the battery cover a lot more than my seidio extended.
You say its lasting longer than your seidio, is that the 3500 or the 4000 mah?
Sent from my HTC Evo 3D on MetroPCS 1x...
the 4000mah, ive had a couple of seidio`s before and they seem to not be fully truthful with there batteries and MaH, and the cover i quite like over the seidios, plus my phone is flashed to cricket so its always searching for a decent signal and 3g, this battery has been great
That looks exactly like the gorilla gadgets one.
http://gorillagadgets.com/htc-evo-3d-extended-life-battery-3400-mah.html
One says 3400, the other says 3500......hmmm
have to disagree
I own both the accessoryswamp battery and the one from seidio. While the AS might be a decent option if cost is an issue, I have to strongly disagree with the assertion that it lasts longer than the seidio. First of all, the seidio is noticeably larger, which fits with its claim of being 4000mah. I don't have a device that measures mah, so can't verify anything on that front, but from my experience, the AS battery lasts about 1.5x as long as the OEM battery, I have found so far that the seidio lasts about 3x as much. I also found that the back for the AS, while I preferred its style/feel, broke within the first few days of me having it (luckily AS replaced it). So if cost is not a big issue and you just want the most powerful/long-lasting battery available, go with the seidio. If you just want something that will have noticeable kick beyond the OEM but don't wanna shell out the premium, go with AS (or even gorillagadgets since they're a couple bucks cheaper and have been around longer)....just my 2 cents!
All i can say is once my battery was conditioned it out lasts the seidio, but thats my experience.
Seidio have been more than guilty of putting false MAH ratings on the products they sell, just go look it up
anyways, its a good battery, well worth the $30 delivered

hi, i'm looking for extended batteries that come with replacement back cover for motorola photon
can anybody give me input ?
on how the battery perform
and how good the quality of the replacement back cover ?
actually i'm leaning towards seidio because i've used them in may blackberries and they are good.
and also the other option that i found is
either the cheapo ebay stuff (where i'm afraid about the quality of the battery and the quality of the back cover
and also the Mugen power battery (i found the price is too steep for and extended battery)
so please advice
thank you.
I've been using a TREXCELL 3500 battery from AMAZON.Pricing is in the $20-$25 range & this is definitely a solid choice over SEIDIO.
I get a solid 10 hrs of moderate to heavy use & 14-16 hrs. of light to moderate use w/o re-charging.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526066
No problems with them yet.
Can anyone give a link to a decent external battery charger?

I got 50 Hours with light use on my TREXCELL 3500 mAh =D Favorite battery!
hows the quality of the back cover on trexcell ?
do they feel flimsy ?
I've got both a TREXCELL & INCREDICELL(don't recommend the INCREDICELL).
The battery covers are equal, if not exactly the same.
Care does need to be taken when removing the cover, especially around the kickstand area, as that is the weakest point on the cover due to the contours that are present to accommodate the extended battery thickness.
Not a big deal, or, deal breaker. You can get replacement covers by simply buying an el cheapo extended battery for a few $ on e-Bay, AMAZON, etc.......
SEIDIO will sell the extended battery cover by itself, for $14..95.
You simply just have to call & ask for it, unless SEIDIO has begun listing them on their website.
Anyone ever try the Droid Bionic battery on the Photon? I am thinking about getting it.

hi thanks
this is what i really want
a hyperion battery and a seidio back cover
do they fit ?
why hyperion, cause i've heard good reviews of it on this forum and the seidio battery doesn't get good reviews
and also my friends buy the hyperion battery with the replacement back cover, but thte cover is very bad, he broke the clips within 2 weeks, so i supposed that the seidio back case is supposedly better.
the only question for me now is , are they compatible ?
i mean will the seidio back cover accommodate the hyperion extended battery ?
So I had my Rezound for about one whole month before I decided to purchase an extended battery for it. I decided to go with the safe route and purchase HTC's OEM extended battery which is 2750mAH. The battery makes a difference. I notice it. The thing I want to change is the size increase of the whole phone. The extended battery adds so much bulk and it is getting to be annoying at times. The phone weighs too much and etc.
I want an extended battery that has the OEM fit. No bulkiness. Just sits flush with the original back casing. I know of Mugen which sells the 1900mAH. I was wondering what some of your guys' setups were with extended batteries.
Thanks in advance. Opinions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The mugen batteries are awfully expensive for very little gain. The HTC battery is nice. There are bigger batteries but they add size. Right now Verizon has batteries 50% off. $30 for the OEM HTC extended is a good price. And the backplate looks just like stock. The only thing I hate is the way the backplate attaches and it doesnt fit firmly enough so it creaks but not like its going to fall off or anything

Its generally not wise to use a non OEM battery. They are usually cheaply made, and I've heard they can have bad side effects on phones
That is true as well. I would trust mugen and Seidio since they are actual companies but I know the seidio for the of evo 4g claimed to be 3500mah and was ~$80 and it was tested and only had a capacity of 2800ish which was only 200 more than the sprint 2600mah for $50. $30 more for 200mah is stupid and not likely to notice that difference. As for the slim 1900, I don't believe in those because how do you fit 300 more mah into the same physical space? :screwy:
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
Yeah. I bought my OEM HTC extended battery for 30 with the back cover. The cover does squeak. It does not have the solidity of the normal back cover that came with the phone. The battery does help. I was just looking for a thinner one.
I have heard people getting good results with Mugen.
But then again. I have no idea until I try it out.
Don't know if it is worth it -__-
I just got the battery from seidio thats 4000 mah ITS A GO! it drains slow even when im on 1.5 ghz awesome battery guys definitley a worth buy i got better battery life when i kept it on charge for hours so if your not sure to get the battery or not and if u dont mind the little thickness guys this battery is awesome.
EDIT: the power button is a bit hard to press you will have to press it hard(TWSS) ?
Please do a little testing and report the behaviour.
I think (if your results stay good) I will give it a try.

4000mah that's alot of battery juice ...Is it worth the bulk?
You can get the 3500 mah battery for the same bulk as the 4000.when I first got the battery I still haven't removed it or thinking of that for me it's worth it the bulk that is but for some 55$ is a bit over for a battery price
yeah in that case might as well go with the 4000mah... I should probably upgrade myself still using stock battery...usually last me around 70% of the day
Sorry to drudge this up, but how's the battery holding up? Is the Seidio backplate really as bad of a fit as everyone says it is? I am seriously considering getting one cuz I wanna use my phone all day instead of sparingly.
HTC Evo 3D Custom Battery
Thanks for sharing the story, I currently have the default 1.71 battery and I mean like it lasts for the day with low/moderate usage but it isn't enough for me. How much did you pay this battery and where can I purchase it from? :good:

This battery is extremely well. That extra 500 of juice as proven itself useful.
As far as the size, people will get over it. I had a few buddies comment on my phones size and I kindly tell them I wasn't blessed with small hands like them, so to me, it's not big.
Bottom, the price tag for the battery and full package protective case has already paid itself off in my last convoy. Dropped while I was loading up cargo on the deuce and a half and it didn't shatter. When I was in the field, I had the only working cell phone pass the two week mark.
So if you're on your phone a lot and don't always have a power source to charge, this and the 3500 battery are for you. I had the 3500, but again, that extra 500 made a difference with me.

I bought that battery from cowboom in September when this was posted, and it definitely needs the expanded replacement cover as it is about twice as thick as the stock battery. The cover fits well though, unlike the Seidio that has has gaps at bottom of the phone for a lot of people, including me.
There's no way that a 3500mah battery could use the normal cover. Here's the Amazon listing for the same battery where the photos more clearly show the larger cover.

If you're in the US you can get the specially designed branded version made for Best Buy on EBay for under $20. Just search for Platinum instead of Seidio. You can get the cases cheaper that way also if you decide to stay with a factory battery although I've seen a few surface extended cases for less than $10.
