I have HTC wildfire s. Since today I've download many apps. But now when I try download something it show an error with the connection. I try to load a website from Internet explorer and it works, so my connection is OK. I updated Android, turn the phone back to factory settings, change the g-mail acc, install new Market. Everything but it's NOT working

Whenever I try to download just about any app from the market...the download never starts and after some time it just pauses itself. I've been having this issue since yesterday when I tried partitioning my sdcard for apps2sd but failed so reformatted it all back to fat32...tried using different roms and even restored factory image using rsdlite but the problem wont go away...any suggestions?
Connecting with Wifi or 3G or both? What rom are you using?

i got the same problem with you, i am using Eclair-strike-back rom.
Still, I dun have a solution for this problem... just trying to use some Chinese market apps
Delete market cache and restart phone, then try again.
Give these fixes a whirl.
First, if you have Titanium Backup, go into it and hit the settings and then try Market Fix, might be called Market Doctor. See if that works.
If not then try this. Go into phone settings, manage apps, Market, clear cache, clear updates. Then go into Market Updater and clear updates. Close out and open Talk and sign in (Gmail/market UID password), Talk settings, unchecked Automatically Sign In.
Open market and try to download app. Should work. Talk is related to market so if that gets screwed with, it trickles down to other apps.
Rooted my phone just for this app. Great thinking!
hi
I have galaxy tab 10.1. It was fine until a week ago. I can't download anything from marketplace.it starts download and then just stops. I can see it in program manager under uninstalled but can't install it. Can anyone help PLEASE
I've had this problem before but not sure if it helps.
Try logging out of Google Talk and then signing in again.
Restart Market and see if the download continues.
Rebooting helps sometimes. You can also go to my apps in the market and scroll way down. There may be a list of apps that could not install. You can reinstall there and it works 99%. Adroid Market installer is just extremely unreliable (yes, I have port 5228 open).
Hi,
I'm having an issue with android market (3.4.4) no longer showing apps like Launcher Pro, Task Killer etc
Until today it has been working fine (no changes made - to my knowledge).
Rom: Bindroid V1.0 3G P7500
Location: Singapore
Tried so far:
1. Clear Market Data and Cache, reboot
2. Reinstall latest market apk
3. Use Market Enabler to spoof T-Mobile
4. Use Market Enabler to spoof Verizon
5. Replace core build.prop files with vanilla 3.2
Issue still remains...
If I browse through 'Staff Choices for Tablets' I can see and install Go Launcher Ex etc, but if I search Go Launcher Ex I get 'No results found'.
Screen shot of what I'm seeing attached.
Any idea what I need to do to fix??

Today I've tried:
1. Full wipe and reinstall of bindroid
2. Replaced market 3.4.4 with 1.0.28
3. Multiple density settings, 149, 160, 161, 200
All with cache cleans.
Issue remains.... I get no results when searching in the market for apps like launcher pro, circle launcher etc.
Via web market I can see the apps, but my GT-P7500 is greyed out. Depending on the app it will either show, not compatible or unavailable in my location.
I have confirmed on the market help page that the device is still supported and Singapore is on their paid locations approval list.
Via appbrain I can see the apps OK, but when I click install it loads android market and issue remains.
Any ideas on what else I can try?

Download the new market and install it by hand. Then it should be fixed.
You could also go to phone setting/Applications/Manage applications and then find market and force stop, clear data, and uninstall updates.
Sometimes it takes a while for the Google Play store to hit..
hi thanks! is all ok now
I'm using a Sony Ericsson X10 mini (not rooted) that still suffices quite ok. However, after a while it tends to become slow. What I periodically do to make the device again a bit faster is reinstall the original firmware using Sony PC Companion. This re-installs the latest available firmware for the X10 mini, being 2.1-update1 (kernel version 2.1.1.A.0.6).
The last time I reinstalled the firmware I ran into an issue. After the installation I got to work installing a few apps. I noticed that all the apps that I install keep showing up in the market as "Installing", even though they are already installed and working properly. Switching the device off and on doesn't help. Also clearing the cache of Android Market did not resolve this. All these apps remain showing as "installing" in the market app.
I also noticed that the version of Android Market that I currently have is not the version of Android Market that I had before reinstalling the firmware. As far as I know, Google Play is not available on Android 2.1, but I definitely remember that I had a newer version of Android Market installed on Android 2.1 than the one that is installed now. From previous re-installations I remember that the device at some point would mention that Android Market needs to be updated. The same goes for some of the pre-installed apps such as Facebook and Google Maps. However, this time it does not give such a message at all. Opening Android Market also does not trigger any update at all. Also going into the settings and looking for updates does not trigger any update. Is there any way to force android to update the market and the pre-installed apps?
When I open Android Market and look in the "Downloads" section, it shows a list of all the apps that I had installed on the device previously. When I check play.google.com on my PC, it lists the same apps, but they show as "installed" on my phone. Even though I have not installed them yet. And I cannot find any way to remove these apps from the "My Apps" section on play.google.com. Could this be interfering with the android market app on my phone?
Is there any way to trigger Android to update the Android market and the other pre-installed apps? I'm very hesitant to go and root the device, that still appears to me as a lot of work. Especially since I know that it used to work correctly previously.
A small update in case somebody in the future encounters the same problem:
To find out whether it really is my Google account that interferes, I have opened a completely new Gmail account, and used that when setting up the phone after the firmware re-installation. And lo and behold: within a few minutes after the initial setup of the phone, the market application was suddenly replaced with version 2.3.6. No notification whatsoever, it was just suddenly there. I don't know the version number of the old Market app that I had. Somehow, the version numbering that is used in the application manager is different than the "2.3.6" formatting. The version number that is shown in settings>application manager went from 2002009. to 2002306.
Having the updated Market app, I wanted to relink the phone with my normal Gmail account. However, I found that apparently, you can only sync with a different Gmail account by resetting the entire phone, so that I have the original problem again. But at least the fact that the Market app updated itself allowed me to copy the updated market .apk file so that I could manually update the market after reinstalling the firmware. And having installed the new Market app, it also recognized the pre-installed aps such as Google Maps.
It should have been possible to delete your new gmail account in th settings app and add your old one. Failing that, doing a factory reset would have deleted all the user-data but still have kept the updated market-app.
