Hi,
I am a new android tablet user and I just got my gtablet a few days ago, it was a display model and somehow it's already have CWM on it. I tried to flash the ROM and I ran to an issue. After I re-partition, I got "Magic Value Mismatch" at startup. I don't know what did I do wrong and how can I fix it. But sometime I can get into the recovery menu.
Can someone please give me some direction on how to fix it? That would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks a lot!

Go here and do a code red. http://viewsonic-gtablet-for-dummies.webs.com/
Hope it helps.
The link fosser2 posted is the best way to learn about your tablet and also which custom roms work on which bootloader you are running. You will need access to a desktop or laptop computer with known good USB 2.0 connections. The Gtablet will come with a stock Clockwork recovery system on it, but depending on the roms and bootloader I would use the custom recoveries that come with the NVflash files listed in that link. Good luck.
Thanks fosser2 a lot! The site you listed is very helpful!
Hello
I was wondering if anyone can help me.
I am trying to learn how to make Odin flashable files from stock firmware.
I found a guide on how to do it with Linux and looks like it will work with the version of redhat that I am running.
Does anyone have a guide for this device or know the flashing order for this specific phone?
The guide I found only has flashing orders for older phones that are missing some of the partitions especially relating to the bootloader.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Figured it out. Ran the tar to extract it in verbose mode and it gave the list there.
I was directed here from another forum to seek help. I 've done some research on this tablets stock files and cannot find the ones I need or maybe I am doing something wrong here. BUT all i really need the stock rom/recovery.img for this tablet and I should be able to unbrick the bootloader and repair my device. PLEASE can ANYONE some how extract the bootloader off another GT-810 tablet or something becuase mine will not boot into home or recovery, just fastboot works at this point. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hi all-
Thanks for the awesome wealth of information-this forum has helped me out more times than I can count! So, I pulled a bonehead move yesterday with my new (to me) AT&T S5 Active - I'm fairly familiar with using Odin and read what I later found to be the outdated root method and unfortunately soft bricked my phone...I started out with a totally stock phone and followed the instructions here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799754 - to try to downgrade my phone from the most current 5.1.1 PB5 firmware to NE4 in order to use Towelroot. As I did more research I found that the later 5.1 updates prevent downgrading...Odin still allowed me to push the NE4 firmware but now my phone only boots into recovery. I've tried a number of .zip recoveries and later (but not PB5) kernels through Odin but I either get kernel mismatch or other errors and can't get it to boot. Now that I know this phone can't be rooted (which seems crazy to me...thanks Samsung!) I'm just wanting to get it back to stock so I can give it to my Dad and get him off of his Lumia - does anyone have a stock ROM that would work or any ideas how to get back up and running? I'm not finding any newer firmware out there and any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have adb on your computer? If not download it, if you do, boot to recovery and hit "apply update from adb". Now, assuming you are familiar with adb and it's commands, adb sideoload it. If that doesn't work do the Odin thing again and make sure your device is in download mode and after the flash is complete you will have to wipe data/factory in recovery otherwise you'd be stuck in a bootloop.

Hi RAZERZDAHACKER - Thanks for the reply - yeah, unfortunately tried that and all I'm getting is 'E:footer is wrong E:signature verification failed' errors...it's the same whether I try to apply any of the ROM .zips I have via ADB or from the SD card. I'm guessing I need a matching version ROM to the PB5 that I had? I've looked but I can't find a download for it anywhere since it's only a few weeks old...I'd just throw in the towel and bring it to the AT&T service center (as much as I hate the thought of it) if it wasn't about a 6 hour round trip for me.
I can see the pain for a 6hr trip + you are lucky if they even will accept it since you tamper with device. Have you looked at this thread? It might help you.

I think I have the solution!! Remove battery for 5min and boot into download mode and flash via odin! If that didn't work, report the odin log.
Hello there,
So i was stupid and forgot to uncheck OEM unlock , im now stuck on frp binary.
im from uk and had this phone unlocked and the dude who unlocked it flashed it with j510fnxxu2bqj8 which is russia multi csc as far as i know. ive tried reflashing stock that matches this firmware.
tried the stock recovery and boot img files , all lead up the same road to the infinite samsung logo.
im puzzled as i cannot get past the boot logo despite the files passing in odin.
I understand it may be my boot file is upto date but the firmware is not but ive read through all the old posts and cant find any help hence why im asking for some assistance from you guys.
As usual thanks for taking time to read this and any help, advice or pointers are greatly appreciated.
cheers in advance.
p.s kies or smartswitch dont recognise the fone and ive uninstalled re-installed drivers etc , tried older versions too
