[Q] need services file so I can use cf-root kernel - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hi
Fist apologies if I am asking this in the wrong place, the forum forbids me from reply to the thread.
I have a galaxy black and need to enable the BLN functions, ideally thats all I want to do with no other changes at all. The cloest kernel for this is cf-root if I understand right. Posted here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158197
My problem is the supplied services files do not match my phone and I need one for XWKPY. Can anyone supply this file for me so I can proceed installing the kernel?
Thanks

Cf root kernel works on all firmwares.

[Q] Is Kies safe?

Kies just notified me that there is a new firmware update for my phone, it says:
"your version: PDA:KPE/Phone:KP6/CSC: KP2 (VIP)
newest version: PDA:KS1/PHONE:KS2/CSC:KS1 (VIP)"
I read somwhere in the SGA thread that it's not safe to flash trough kies because it uses too much RAM(What RAM, Phone RAM or PC RAM?), so im not shure is it safe to update. Also i have rooted my phone with the 2.3.x upd_1 zip from the sticky tutorial in Anroid development subforum. Will this somehow interrupt or efect the firmware update?
Thanks in advance for your answers

Well i updated it, and it sort off works, but it has become unstable and randomly soft reboots. So I'm considering to flash the unofficial cyanogenmod.
Tnx for your replies anyway

Did you wipe data and partition after update? You should!
It might be official but a lot of users report problems with it and bricking their phones so I don't really recommend it. I my self haven't had those problems with it and I've only used it twice. Don't plan on using it again though.

I prefer odin for flashing firmware. Had a bad experience wit kies. Ws on froyo wen i got d fone, found an update to GB in kies. Tried updating for d 1st time & ended up with a bricked fone. From that day i promised i wont use kies for any more updates.

Phone starts but freezes on boot animation

I had GlsmtRom v2.1 and flashed S5830XWKS9 firmware form sammobile. Now my Galaxy Ace does not start any further that to boot animation over and over again. What may cause the problem?
Is XWKS9 a one package rom? If it is, den u should flash a multi package rom.

Yes it is a one package rom. Maybe I should flash it with S5830XXKPO
The same happens with S5830XXKPO firmware. Phone does not start and freezes on boot animation.
GlsmtRom converted ur system from rfs to ext. So in order to revert back to rfs system, u need to flash a multi or full package like kph(i said kph bcoz i dont kno any other full package rom. Im on kph for a long time).

After I flashed KPO situation was the same so I entered original samsung's recovery and did full wipe and cache wipe.It helped and system started ok.Now will try the same with the newest firmware again.Let you know later.

Help regarding CM7 to Stock

Hello everyone, I'm new here, I tried CM7 and it worked, but I want to go back to Stock firmware, I get stuck at Galaxy Ace logo. I'm ready to flash using ODIN.
But how will I find the correct firmware file? samfirmware is down for maintenance and hence is helpless. I'm from India. Please give me suitable new or old firmware link so that I can flash and then update to new ones through kies if possible
Hoping to get some help, thank you.
Try sammobile.com
If ur coming from cm7 rom then u should flash a full package rom to avoid bootloops.

By full package, he means the zip that has 4 different files. Not just one big one
Thank you both of you. I had single package of Stock 2.3.4 and yes I did have a boot loop.
After Odin said passed. I removed mobile and turned into recovery mode and clean wiped everything and when I restarted everything was working fine.
Thanks to XDA

[Q] ClockWorkMod Recovery help needed

When I first wanted to flash the cm7.1 rom to my phone I downloaded ROMmanager. When I tried to flash the CWM Recovery to my phone, SGA did not show up on the list of recognized devices.
I found a workaround on the forum somewhere which had a custom CWM version which I flashed onto my phone directly without ROMmanager.
Now I checked ROMmanager again and SGA was recognized and I flashed the official CWM Recovery 4.0.0.9 to my ace.
Does this now mean that the custom version is deleted and the new official CWM is the current recovery? I want to add mods to my rom using CWM so I need to know if this is safe.
Thanks in advance
U MUST DELETE ROM MANAGER NOW!!!!!!!!! IT has killled a lot of galaxy aces dont use it !!!

How to go back to stock ROM after ICSunday Final?

I'm a beginner so please bear with me.
I have installed a custom ROM "ICSunday Final" It crashes a lot and I want to go back to stock ROM. I have the latest firmware for my region, OPS, and ODIN, but I don't know what to do and how to go back to the stock ROM. Also, I have "ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.6 " installed.
Is there a step by step guide on how to go back to stock ROM?
Thanks in advance!
