aircrack-ng on Xperia X8 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, i have installed debian to my xperia x8 (i have used this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254283 ) and i have compiled aircrack-ng in it, i have tried to run 'airmon-ng' but it said that MONITOR MODE NOT SUPPORTED - is it possible to get monitor mode working on xperia x8 with some custom rom or something? I'm new to android, thanks in advance for answers

Not to off-topic on you a little bit, but something struck me: For the aircrack suite to work correctly, it has to have a wireless card/connection that can inject packets...

SDk addon for 2.0 Xperia X10

I am surprised to search and not find a thread covering this (I likely missed something)
I would like to know if there is a way to get the SDK addon for the X10 to run the 2.0 upgrade? Ir is there a different add-on that has the upgraded os in it?
Thanks,
Fahrverngugen

Rom from sdk manager?

When i download for example the new jellybean package in the sdk manager I can run it in my emulator wich means that i got the complete ROM. So my question is how to extract that ROM and flash it. Btw I got a Xperia mini st15i with official ics so can I get jellybean on it?
Hi,
theoretical, yes. But nothing will work. The ROM is optimized for the virtual Android phone and not for the Xperia mini st15i.
This means:
1. The drivers are wrong -> lots of things won't work.
2. It's not optimized for your display size -> widgets won't work until they are resized.
But you can build your own rom with taking this rom and add the sony ericsson stuff. But something still won't work, so you have to modify them.
I hope I could help you,
Hardy
Can you give me a link for a tutorial for optimizing roms. I already googled but didn't find anything.

[ROM][21/01][9.1.A.0.485][Small Apps][Bravia Engine 2][ClearAudio+]Fidelity VX 8.0

I made this ROM for my Xperia P device in this thread below
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1889581
Some users reported that it can also be installed on Sola and working fine. Not so surprising though as build.prop is modified not overwritten and most stuff I added are stuff from T/V so it's quite possible. I don't have devices on hand to test myself besides Xperia P so let me know what works and broken there so I can try fixing it to make it more generalized.
Very promising ROM
Appearantly it works on Xperia U and should also work on Sola/Go too for any 6.1.1.B.1.x stock ROM. Make sure you prepare root/busybox/init.d before flashing this ROM.

it worked on my xperia u .. i didn't saw any problem besides the middle button didnt work.. not at all
Hello Windows X,
Thanks for your job, I have tested Fidelity VX 7 and8 and it's great !
I just have one weird problem with the 8.0 version, I'm not able to connect to internet through 3G/3G+ unless I ask to the phone to search and download MMS and Internet configuration ( in setup ) each time I boot the phone.
Sorry for my poor english if you have trouble to understand.
It probably has something to do with partial working JB files. I hope next release will solve those problems.
Version 9.0 was released btw and v10 with Xperia Z files is in development.

[Q] Need cifs.ko module for xperia tablet S

Hi all,*
i have a rooted Xperia Tablet S with kernel 2.6.39.4 and firmware version 4.0.3 6b.*I want to mount my Samba shares on the tablet with Cifsmanager. For that I need a cifs.ko module. My search on the Internet so far wasn't successful.
I found a module at this forum for the Tablet S but it doesn't work with xperia tablet S (Tablet crashes everytime).*
Does anyone have a functional module or can someone tell me how I can compile the module?

Hey, any progress on your question? I recently got the Xperia Tablet Z and the cifs.ko module is not included either. I need to mount a SMB share but found no solution so far
Bump.
I have a rather large music collection on my NAS. It would be nice to access it directly as a mounted share from my Xperia ZL..

Have you built kernel from source or applied a stock one?
Have you built AOSP ROM for your phone and checked how correct it works?
