CyanogenMod 7.1 Stable
The wildfire doesn't have a GPU, which means no 3D games (or any intensive games for that matter).
It's due to lack of a GPU in the Wildfire. I think I have told you this several times, but you still don't seem to get it. And you are in "serious problemsss" because you can't get a damn game to work on a low end phone? Grow up please.

No GPU = No smooth games for you.

Ask the blogpost owner in that case. My views are already out. CPU OC'ing cannot compensate for the lack of a GPU. (EVER - This is true for the GS2 as well. Use CPU for decoding video, and your battery will run flat in 30 minutes)

Everyone i know with an atrix or optimus are not impressed lol
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
I Came from the i9000, the only thing better about that was the screen.
There is no lag like the Samsung it juts works in fact it all just works strictly speaking we dont need a custom rom on this as it's pretty good as stock (not that we arnt trying of course)
So if you love games buy it, if you like games buy it, if your not bothered about games dont buy it.

If you won't miss the much better screen of the Fascinate, the Play is a very good choice. It has a very solid Interface without much fluff, is developer-friendly, has awesome gaming controls, solid (not great) cameras and good GPS. The screen however isn't all that great. It has good colors, but the maximum brightness is pretty crappy, it's not very visible in sunlight and the picture sometimes 'drags' a little. Nothing that would ruin the run, but it's noticeable.

I agree, the play is great for gaming but it is lacking in power compared to some of the latest phones.
My buddy got a free play and let me play with it 4 a night. If your a gamer, the controller is a serious selling point. On my desire hd, gaming is fun but touch screen sucks. On the play, I was loving gaming. Played ocarina of time. Set the controls to hardware and left the c buttons on screen. Ran smooth too. Same with final fantasy 9 on fpse. No lag at all. I get lag on my desire hd which is overall a better phone spec wise
Maybe it has a better video card? Or its optimized 4 gaming so specs mean nothing.

i have a desire HD too and agree GPU performance is better on the play, quallcomm said it developed more mature adreno drivers for the play, maybe once the play is hacked, a dev like snq could port the play drivers to the DHD
Adding in another yes, mine just came in the mail today. After spending the night with it I am absolutely pleased with my purchase. Finally, I can game properly on my phone. It's a really responsive phone, too. Gingerbread is snappy on this thing.
Yes!
Play is a really good phone, I love it`s controls and on stock firmware it really is good unlike with some other phones I have had where I just wanted to change to a custom rom because of them being boring or buggy.
Play may not have as powerful a processor as some other smart phones, but it`s gpu makes up for it and gives the power it needs for great gaming.
Sony do need to get their asses in gear for the Playstation releases though, right now their line up is crap and not getting much update.

apart from the Dual core tegra 2, the quallcomm scorpion is the most powerful CPU on the market, infact it's its GPU adreno 205 witch lacks in power

Yeah that's what I figured....I just know the Flyer was previously not a supported device.
I went to the Gameloft website. There was not a Flyer game section. Do you download under the Galaxy Tab section? I put the .apk file from my phone onto my Flyer and Hero of Sparta worked but, its not formatted to fit the 7" screen. How di

Download Spare Parts from the Market, open it, and uncheck compatibility mode. Then restart, and your games should be full screen.
the best "demo" Flyer game
which game do you think is the best to appreciate Flyer's graphic performance ?
I tried someone, but it' s very annoying to seek in android market whithout the top score query feature.
I would think it would be compatible since the View 4G comes preloaded with the Gameloft 100% HD games shortcut. Is it possible that full support won't be there until the View's official release date? I don't have the Flyer anymore as I loved it, but decided to get the View for full time connection.
The strange thing is, on Gameloft's Market games, I can download and install them on my G2, then copy the apk over, but once I try to run it on the Flyer, it says the game isn't supported on my device.
It's a bit of a mystery. The Flyer is pretty high-end device with specs far exceeding my G2, but somewhere there's some arbitrary code that says, "no, you can't run on this device." I wonder if it's looking for an IMSI or something.
Eternal legacy=work
Fast 5 = work
Fishing kings = work
Modern Combat 2 = work
NOVA 2 HD = work
Splinter cell HD = work
Dungeon Hunter = work
Hero of sparta = work

I would imagine that the Android market is only %20 tablet and %80 phone based apps. I have lots of apps that just don't look correctly because they were written for such small screens. And, if something isn't even listed it is probably not even compatible at all.

Anyone can post an .apk online of the app but it doesnt mean it will work on our Wildfire. Unfortunatly the Wildfire doesnt have a dedicated graphics chip so no it will not be able to play it
Hope this helps
I after JB cant play any GAMELOFT game without lagging?? WTF
I played MC3 multiplayer and now cant play without lagging like hell! Batman, spiderman, order and chaos,... all this game laggy like hell! TF201 best performance android device... really wrong. my HTC Desire HD can handle better game than TF201! My TF201 was two time on RMA! Way after JB we cant even make overclock? **** ASUS! I want back my 950$.... Totally disapointed after half year of using!
Yup I feel you. For 1 gameloft games were never optimized for tegra 3 but atleast with ICS some games were playable. Also with root you can install Chainfire 3d and made Nova 3 smoother. Cant use chainfire on JB now or youll soft brick it. Prime JB and Gameloft just dont mix.
Use "directory bind", move the data files into a fast microSD card and they will be playable again.

Damn, NOW I'm SO glad I'm still running ICS 4.0.3 on my Prime (and definitely no plan to 'down'grade to JB (yet) I only WISH I could get rid of this way-too-constant flickering screen issue in most, if not all, 3D games (any suggestions please, as that is REALLY driving me NUTS!!)
I successfully rooted my Prime the other night, but now I understand I have to make nvflash backups? Could one of the kind folk here point me in the direction of a thread that explains easily and clearly how to do that, please? The videos I've watched on YouTube are a little confusing. Thanks in advance.
