Looks like Skinomi already has some skins and screen protectors for the Prime. I have the carbon fiber skin for the TF1 and love it. I'll probably get one for my Prime as well.
Skinomi ASUS Transformer Prime Skins
Has anyone tried the dry tech one? I'm a Steinheil fan. I've tried Skinomi's wet one and hated it just as much as all the wet application ones I've tried.
I don't want to wait for Steinheil though. I want one before my Prime comes. So Skinomi looks like my only choice.

I'm also curious about the drytech version as well. And as far as Steinheil is concerned, I contacted them a couple of days ago about Prime protectors. They replied they had no current plans to produce them.
I ordered one of the wet kits, but the dry tech is intriguing, if anyone had any info on them that would be great.
I ordered a clear front and back... Got charged but never got an email confirmation hopefully they will show up! Got 25% off to with a coupon code! XD

On their site you can't see proper image, all images are so small. Why manufacturer can't show his product in High quality picture, there are so shy... And I'm not buying something I can't see clearly what it is...
What kind of Skin is this one:

This skin isn't perfect fit as you can see on borders, are all skins like that ?
Yeah they can't cut it perfect that's the carbon fiber one! I just installed that in my moms phone don't worry about the space at all! But you might wanna get clear cuz the speaker cut out will look funny
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
did anyone get a skinomi skin for the prime yet? What does the cutout for the speakers look like. I'm thinking about getting the dark wood one, but if its just a square cut out, i'll go for clear.
Have not received them yet...! I emailed support and they said it got lost in the Post Office but I think they haven't shipped it yet! I have a tracking number but it has not been dropped off at the office yet... I wouldn't expect it till way after the prime comes out!

I think it might be possible that they dont even have them made yet, and is only advertising that they have it. Skinomi is the only company that is selling one for the prime and the fact that nobody received theirs yet (shipping problems, no emails, etc) is a little fishy.

Just grabbed a Skinomi TechSkin screen protector for $15 on Amazon. Opted for the normal TechSkin over the DryTech after speaking with their Customer Service and verifying that the TechSkin feels more like a glass surface, aka no drag or friction.
Going to use this until the SGP Ultra Optic protector is released for the Prime. Until then, the Skinomi was cheap enough to hold me over.

They told me the same thing, and said they were going to ship a 2nd one, that if i got both just keep them. I wanted it here before the Prime so that I have protection from day one. I plan on using this at work, under more harsh conditions than most of them will ever see.

An update from their customer service representatives.
They said the skins would ship closer to the date of release of the tablet... When I do not know..
I think this means by like January...
As they will need to get the tablet it and take dimensions then cut the skins!

anyone get a status update on their order? i have got nothing from them and now contacting support
I have done a dry-tech install to my TF101. My advice - don't. Now, Skinomi is a great company and their customer service is wonderful. However, the dry install screen protector is a nightmare, and I have lots of experience in installing screen protectors on phones and tablets. You can actually wet-install the dry-tech version. After trying the dry version, i ripped it off and used the wet install technique. The wet result is a thousand times better. As I said, I've installed many pristine bubble-free screen protectors and am very good at it. However the dry version is so sticky you cannot get a smooth application. It's impossible to get bubbles out or squeegee out any imperfections. Maybe someone else got a dry-tech install to work, but I never did. Wet apply is excellent and perfect.
Update they gave me a 10 dollar discount! Off my already 25% off so I got the front and back for 12 dollars!
They said asus made a last minute redesign and they do not know when they will ship probably closer to January!

how is installing a dry skin? my order comes with a dry skin and wet screen
edit: skinomi just called me back that they received their transformer today and should be shipping tomorrow
Hey everyone I was just looking at skins for the rear of the device from Skinomi and was wondering if the device would be too think to dock after applying them to the front and back, or just the back? Input?
Yes it is too thick to easily dock, and smudges the protector. Check out this thread for close up pics, and what I did to fix it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1442140
Skinomi also emailed me saying they are working in a modified skin/screen combo specifically to address the docking issue.

I have a Zagg on my screen alone (not the back plate) and it fits fine. Just need to make sure it is secure on the screen first. I plan on getting a custom skin for the back plate and think loosening the torq screws at the bottom of the hinge might do the trick...

Okay thanks! Where did you find a Zagg kit? I looked online and havn't come across one. Did Skinomi give any hint as to how long it would be until the modified skin is ready?

Directly from their email to me:
"This new screen should take about 2 more weeks to finish design and manufacturing."

They are available now. Go to Zagg.com and search for transformer prime. It shows up. Appeared late last week.

Skinomi now has the modified tablet/dock combo skins available. just ordered mine today
http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi-TechS...8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1327116936&sr=1-8
There's the link for the tablet/dock combo.
I got the screen protector that wasn't made for the dock, and Skinomi sent me the free replacement yesterday I believe. Their lifetime replacement policy awesome. Highly recommend their products.
so the tablet/dock combo definitely doesn't affect the tab when being placed in the dock?
I'm planning to purchase one rather than actually getting a case.
I have a skinomi clear, it has worked great for me. no issues docking
Not sure if this belonged in a different thread or not, but I searched and didn't find any about phantomskinz for the prime.
http://phantomskinz.com/asuseeepadtransformerprime.aspx
I have been using their skins for quite some time and have been very happy with the quality of the skins, and customer service that they offer.
Each order comes with x2 of the item that you choose, and the ability to get free replacements through the mail (though I think they require shipping and handling - just don't screw up lol).
Last time I placed an order with them I asked them to give me one normal shield and one matte and they did, just incase you want to go that route (I'm thinking matte back and normal front).

Anyone having issues with the bumpers on the docking station? I just notched that the bumper below the touchpad on my dock is missing.
Mine is still there but yeah, you got to watch out. I think they are just glued on. You should find something to put there as a replacement otherwise the dock might start rubbing against your screen.

Good point. I have already contacted ASUS to see if they can just ship me a couple replacement bumpers. If not then back to Amazon it will go.
So I bought the following case:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sikai-ASUS-...=200611068464&ps=63&clkid=6987957435191237122
Seller claims that you can close the Transformer while docked with the case. I however have just got the case and this is not happening, see the attached photos!
The case itself isn't that bad, but did want something that would work with and without the dock.
Same problem
I also thought this would work by the photos in listing on ebay. Contacted seller and just sent it back Friday and hope to be credited. However cost $13 and change to send back so net refund of $16 and change. Maybe should have kept it to tote around the tablet without the dock.
Live and learn.

Sorry to hear that. I ended up keeping the case but getting a 50% refund from the seller. The other option was that if I "destroyed" the case and sent photos, the seller would offer me a full refund.
I have actually carried on using the case. If you flip it the other way round, you can actually keep the unit docked and closed (but you are not protecting it). Will try and send some photos tonight to explain how it works. Its kind of a half way house, but its OK.
From looking at the listing and your pics I think the case could be described as a case for just the tablet itself but with the ability to attach the dock without removing the cover? Do I have it right?
