What does this do?
Following this tutorial will set your wallpapers to use each pixel of the screen. Wallpapers will be clear and sharp!
Why?
Why have a 720P screen when you can't even have high res wallpapers?
Setting wallpapers via gallery or android menu does not yield high resolution, it has the wrong crop ratio and it makes the image blurry.
Where to find free high res wallpapers?
I have attached a few images that i liked which i got from InterfaceLift.com for free.
(I had to crop the images to 720x1280 to fit the screen of the Rezound.)
How?
- Find images on interfacelift.com and download them as HDTV>1080p
- (optional but recommended) Use photoshop or similar prog and set image crop to 720x1280 then crop and safe as highest res possible.
- You can also crop within WW by using >set>Crop Portrait (cropping in PS and using set>exact seems to look better)
- Move wallpapers to phone
- Download Wallpaper Wizardrii from the market (free)
-Open app, >menu>preferences>advanced> check HighDef and set HD Image Size to 1280.
- Go back to main screen in WW and browse/swipe to find wallpaper of liking and hit "set", then hit "Exact"
- Enjoy and show off your screen.
Here's a screenshot.

I would like to have this wallpaper that's featured also by the new 8.9" Galaxy Tab.
Is there anyone that can share it?
Thanks a lot
I think you just have to set one of your 7 available Touchwiz homescreens to look like the wallpaper you wish to have.
Then take a picture of this homescreen with the stock GS2 Screen Capture app (Home + Power buttons).
Then set this picture as wallpaper.
Don't know about the rendering quality of this wallpaper but shouldn't look so bad.
Maybe it's worth a try.
Good luck
that looks good phone
If you only want the background picture of the displayed homescreen, then it's available in the stock wallpapers of the GS2.
If you want your background picture to look like the homescreen shown on your picture, you can set one of the 7 available Touchwiz homescreens to your taste, then you take a picture of this homescreen with the stock Screen Capture of the GS2 (Home + Power button).
Then you set this picture as wallpaper and you're done.
Hope I did understand what you wanted. If not then ignore this post and forgive me .
Have a good time with your galactic überphone
EDIT : sorry for this double post. My bad
Whoa, thanks... I didn't notice that this background was actually among those available by default... guess I'm quite an idiot but hell, I didn't look almost at all inside that stock wallpaper gallery... I always use some live wall's I found "here & there"!
Ok thanks a lot!
A couple of days ago I bought a cheap tablet. It actually works quite well for the price I paid for it.
There is only one annoying issue. The screen seems stretched on the x axis (in landscape mode), resulting in circles that look like ovals. So I decided to take a look at some system info apps, and this showed some strange numbers (see the screenshot below).

I already tried editing the dpi in the build.prop file, but this didn't fix the problem. The overall dpi changed, but I was still stuck with the incorrect aspect ratio. So does anyone of you have an idea to fix this? Maybe a way to change the dpi of the x and y axis independent?
I'm having the same issue as you.
Problem is, the standard resolution for Android seems to be 800x480, which has an aspect ratio of 5:3, or 15:9, but many tablets have 16:9 screens.
This makes everything appear stretched about a 6.7% in the direction of the tablet's longer orientation (ie: horizontally in landscape mode, or vertically in portrait).
The solution would be to set the tablet to a 16:9 resolution, or make the DPI 6.7% higher in that direction.
Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to do neither.
How change X-dpi and Y-dpi settings?
On my Android TV dongle are X-dpi 25,4 and Y-dpi 25,4. I want to change X-dpi and Y-dpi to 160, becouse on some apps text are very small, and it's undearable.
Hey, I found the stock camera of Gingerbread XXILA 2.3.6 has larger view in Camcorder mode. It is very nice, but I use Hacked Camera which is based on older Camera.apk and gives me better birate & sound.
Here are screens what I mean:
Hacked Camcorder:

}
XXILA 2.3.6 Camcorder:
You see video view is larger, ugly gray borders do not cover area.
Same applies the Camera (not Camcorder):
I want to remove such gray borders. I glanced onto camera.apk and found some UI elements, but I am not sure it is safe to modify this
You can't remove it in picture mode. The reason for that is the aspect ratio. 8mp still picture is 4:3 while 720p/1080p video is 16:9.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
But in video yes it seems - I do not know how. Also in 2.3.6 camera picture is taller and takes really full screen area, not few mm fewer than previous cameras
All you need is to change some PNGs in Camera.apk !! As you can see, the alpha(transparency) of the PNGs has been increased in the 1st screenie. Take your APK, decompile it, increase the alpha or transparency of needed PNGs and recompile it without signing. Thats it!! I changed my stock camera app to the CM one in this way!!.
Hope it works!!

What's the difference between the trial and paid versions?
As a reminder, XDA forum rules don't allow advertising commercial apps via forum posts...
Hey there, the app used to allow us to use pictures in our native resolution. Now I have to crop the images, I can't use 768x1280 images
Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro2_206 using Tapatalk
It is unfortunately not possible to read out the resolution of the device.
This is why the pictures always on the percentage measure of 1920 X 1080 cut.
As a percentage, that is why in order to save memory on your phone.
In other words, your image is cropped in the resolution of 1280 X 720.
I first thought that let the user set the resolution manually.
But unfortunately most of it would be over foerdert.
Thank you very much!
Too bad, got to find another app for my needs then. My lockscreen images are fit to 768x1280, the way your app works the images get cut off on the top and bottom, cutting off texts and icons. Also, the images start to look pixelated because the 720x1280 images are stretched to 768x1280.

trying to resize a small photo properties are 770 x 1502 pixels I would prefer 1600 x 1200 pixels
when I resize it pixels in properties and filesize increase but jpeg in windows photos and many other photo programs stay exactly the same size
never resizes so far I have tried
photoshop
photoshop elements
lightroom classic
bridge
ms paint
power toys
photo blow-up
gimp
shampoo photo optimizer
PowerPoint
and online image resizers
none of these actually make it bigger
I have 4 separate photos that need resizing and are all different sizes
don't know what else to try
windows 11 pro x64
Photoshop can certainly do it. I'm happy to show you - contact me on Telegram if you want me to show you: Mod edit: TG link removed.
I'm using PhotoFiltre7 app.
i tried PhotoFiltre7.app on 2 different photos but exactly the same whatever sizes i put in image size the photo is always the same dimensions not bigger.
You probably aren't able to correctly handle PhotoFiltre7 app: it perfectly works.
