whenever i try to login , it says facebook authenticating ....
then it come backs to login screen and says "cann't login try later "..
i tried it 1000 times... but still cannot access it !
steps involved are :
1. login
2.loading facebook authentication....
3. sigining in...
4. back to login screen ...
and messeage popup (could not connect to chat,try again later )
somebody HELP !
U must have latest version ! i think u hve downloaded non-market pro version ! after november/december ones only work for fb as fb has changed sumthin in lhgin

Hey, I just figured out something about the go chat login interface. the problem you guys are having can be resolved easily.
At the login screen, untiick remember Login at first app usage..... Then login, but you can later tick it when next you're using the app. I think it's a bug from the app itself..................

I am connecting to internet via wifi. One more problem though, I tried using applications like contapps and Phonebook 2.0, but when i try to authorize the app with facebook, it cannot connect to facebook.
I get the error as page not available.
Facebook app for android and web access for FB works fine, but from inside other apps I cant connect to FB to fetch Data.
Please help, not able to use any apps that fatch fb data.

I just saw your message about not being able to connect to Facebook via Contapps, can you specify some more details about your problem, when you go to Settings->Tapps->Facebook Tapp and click connect there should be a window opened with the Facebook login page, are you getting a "Page not available" error inside that window?
What type of phone do you have? and what version of Android (2.1? 2.2? with HTC Sense?)
I hope I'll be able to help you and we can solve this issue quickly and you will be able to enjoy your contacts

Think this may be a Steak problem, can't connect to Zynga poker myself, it appears to open up a browser window and receive a browser error before dying.

Yes, this is the exact problem happening when connecting by tapp.
Also the same thing happens with other apps which try to connect to FB.
Using Official dell 2.2.
Thank you guys for the information, we will look into the Dell Streak problem, and I'll post an update as soon as we have more information.
It looks like it's Facebook SDK problem (the window and what's inside it is not part of Contapps, but part of the Facebook authentication problem), which can explain why other applications can't connect as well, and I'm hoping it'll be fixed soon

Not being able to connect to FB is so annoying !!
FB data fetching is one of the basic facility required in a smartphone these days..
Missing out on so many great apps because of this, feels I am not using Android, but some crappy OS..
Which version of 2.2 are you using? Earlier official ones had the redirect problem and I found that to affect facebook apps.

Go to the contact you want to link.. Click edit . Click on the chain link in the top, and then select the contact you want it tied to

I dont have this options in my contact defaut program, I try and contact 2.0 app but it can to conect to FB it is error who i have "WEBPAGE NOT AVAILABLE THE WEB PAGE AT http://www.facebook.com:433/connect...66550531123&method=permission.request&display MINGHT BE TEMPORARLILY DOWN OR MAY HAVE MOVED PERMANETLY TO A NEW WEBADDRES....., and I have the same problem like few post up like this with errors when wont to link it.

there is an app in market named "freesmssender" .. it is an awesome sms application with support of thread view & some popular free sms gateways,like whozzat , fullonsms , way2sms .. it needs an application key for using whozzat.. this the key I m talking about..

Hey thanks for sharing this. Was really fed up of whozzat's own app, it keeps FCing frequently, and their new update sucks big time. This app is working gr8.

whatsapp dsnt wrk if d reciever dsnt hav any gprs connection,like most of my frnds.. it s like chatting.. but freesmssender sends SMSs, not chat pings..

whozzat is the best gateway as it sends no adds like -via .......
for application key..
on the browser, login to whozzat.com
and then go to
http://whozzat.com/developer.php
or just click developer in the tabs at the bottom of page.
it displays a very long key under USER APPLICATION KEY:
copy that key to the free sms finder...
and there you go

hey mine is not working..I m logged in to whozzat via facebook, and after putting my credencials in freesmssender n when I move on to msg. it says "server is not reachable" but my internet is working fine,, soo I tried to singup to whozzat.com but on signup page it says " Error ##MySQL server has gone away" ... n btw if I hv logged in via fb then username is d fb name, password is fb password, n app key is on whozzat.com/developers.php .. if I m wrong then pls correct..

recently I can't upload pictures on facebook while I'm connected to 3G network. While I have no problem if I use the wifi. Also I have no trouble uploading photos on google+ via wifi or 3g network.

i'm using the stock rom XWKI4 with Ginger 2.3.4
I've tried to clean the cache, but nothing has changed
I've also tried emptying the cache, but nothing has changed.
Also today I downloaded and updated the facebook application
Did any of you guys try to upload it through the website using the browser ? Try uploading on a browser ( go to desktop version of site ) , using 3G , then using WiFi then report back here.
I just tried it and I can load both through mobile and web site!

Well it's obvious then , the Facebook application has a bug... There's nothing you can do about it, rather than wait for an update that might fix it. It's not a big deal anyway, I guess.
You could go to the market and leave a review of the app and tell about your problem so other users can check it and get it to update fast.

Just use the above mentioned as comes under share menu it also can download folders of pictures off FB good for backup purposes.

Should come up with Facebook login screen after loading to allow access to account then just use share menu to send.
Not sure about swiftkey as don't use.

I think swiftkey, myalbum and also most apps use the mobile website to login and share content and the mobile site has problems :S the login screen never appears on screen
Even if I try to upload a picture in m.facebook.com it fails :S
update: also try to use google public DNS and a lot of settings on router and the same.
Can not login from android browser or any app or widget which use browser based login form (facebook app can login and all but can NOT upload pics) tested on my 3 android devices :S
Social hub can log in but can not upload pics aswell.
All apps are stuck on loading login page.
Also try with older facebook app (1.7.2) and the same, this looks like an issue with facebook page or with my router i guess :S

I can't upload photos either, but in the latest Facebook release I can't update my status, or checkin!
That's with stock rom, cyanogen, wicked, checkrom the lot.
Tried flashing numerous roms to get around it.
This is the first place I've seen or heard of where anyone else is having a similar problem (at first I figured it wasn't the app, and something I'd done on my phone).
Older releases of the facebook app work. Guess I'll just wait and see if a new release comes out to address the issues.

Hello everyone, I have given some checks to try to understand where is the problem with uploading. I have 2 with Gs2, but not rooted, and they haven't this problem!

The problem seems more widespread than just facebook. I cant upload to any app on 3g. Tried dropbox, google+, facebook, google drive and even email attachments. just gets stuck starting to upload then fails.
