omg ok this is bad news basically after you root you shood never use ota (over the air updates ), my suggestion is to
look @the fruitcake sbf files and see if there is one for your specs and flash it with rsd lite use the stock sbf should be safest but the damage is allready done

What are you talking about? Rooting doesn't damage your phone if you then try to OTA. There is no "damage" done.
To the OP, just flash the correct factory SBF file for your phone through RSD Lite and you should be good to go. Check the Korean version of the Motorola site, (if there is one).
Example for US: http://www.motorola.com/Support/US-EN/Android_Products/ATRIX-4G_Software_Update_Page

I tried to unlock the bootloader using RSD, which failed.
Since then my Atrix has been restarting at odd times.
I decided to do a factory reset & now i get a mssage when it restart
failed to boot 2 starting RSD mode, message & it just sits there.
I tried Andriod Recovery & get Failed to boot 2 message.
The phone does boot back in to normal mode if I restart as normal
Im on 2.2.2 Firmware on a Sim Free UK phone. Rooted.
How can i fix this?
Thanks
Looks like you have a soft brick. You can flash a stock ROM using RSD Lite.
Check this thread to find the correct firmware.
I have downloaded the T-mobile sbf but RSD isn't seeing it.
My device is on froyo - are these files gingerbread?
Ok got rsd to see file.
I flashed stock sbf file with rsd but it failed again.
Could really do with some help here, please.
Was hoping for more help than just one reply, thanks to ertz for that, especially after 70 views, Oh well.
I have sorted Atrix now & back up & running.

Well I flashed the SBF and now my phone just boot loops and I have no CWM or standard wipe bootloader option's, Think I will try a different SBF file when I get home from work. Well gutted
I assume your bootloader is unlocked?
If so then its advised not to use SBFs
As long as you can get into fastboot you can flash cwm and go from there
If you want stock UK Gingerbread i can run you through how to extract system.img and boot.img (can do webtop aswell if you use it) from the sbf and safely flash with fastboot, but CM7 is the way to go

Probably no help to you, but you can root the stock UK Gingerbread.
I must have done something wrong cause I can't flash back to the motorola photon stock rom ( 1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.4-4.5.1A-1_SUN-154_5-CM-release-keys-signed-Sprint-US.sbf ) in RSD mode. As soon as goes from execution 100% on my phone I get an error
starting RSD protocol support
svf : 106:2:1
sec_exception: b655, eddc, eb
When i reboot it says U.S.Cellular and I can't connect to the sprint network . Under model number in my phone settings it says my phone is a Motorola electrify when its a photon.
System version : 45.1.19.mb853.usc.enus
android version 2.3.5
kernel version : 2.6.32.9
I already tried pudding removal , hard reset through android recovery and tried flashing 1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.4-4.5.1A-1_SUN-154_5-CM-release-keys-signed-Sprint-US.sbf .
I could really use some help from someone asap !! SOS !!
Thanks in advance

next time be more careful and aware of what you are flashing. since you flashed the USCC 2.3.5 SBF you are officially LOCKED FOR GOOD. there is no way out and no way to flash any other sbf file. your only options are to wait for a 2.3.5 unlock. or get a replacement phone. the unlock may never happen. so i think you know what you need to do.
Send back to motorola for replacement that's what I did.

put the phone into ap fastboot mode
loaded the xml file

the phone rebooted and looked like it was doing something, the android wire logo came up and everything.
then the phone booted up and nothing had changed!!!!!! it was still as it was it didnt actually flash back to stock
Has the phone been recognized in rsd? All the drivers are installed on your computer?
Did you see all the steps in rsd when you flashed?

To flash the SBF, you need to get it into Fastboot mode. Are you able to do that?
Yes i think but i'm not sure.
is it vol down and power?and vol up to ente fasboot? yes i can.
how can i flash the sbf?
You need the RSD Lite software. Download drivers and RSD Lite from here.
You will also need the SBF.
Install RSD Lite on a Windows machine.
Run RSD Lite.
Start the device in Fastboot mode and connect to the PC. The phone should appear in RSD Lite once connected.
Select the SBF and install.
It takes some time for the installation to finish. The SBF will be about 2.5 GB in size.
i can't download drivers 32bit but i found motorola device manager which i'am using.
for the SBF i found this one here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1798145.i want to use the full SBF and following the Step by step 2.3.5 unbrick for Photon in the thread.Or do you think i can use this SBF to follow your step???
The full SBF from the link you've shared is for the Motorola Electrify, not Photon. That should be your last resort.
Do you have a Photon-specific SBF? If not, use the one from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2894168.
You can use RSD Lite to flash any SBF by the way.

The SBF of your link is 2.3.4 - 4.5.1A-1 SUN - 198_7 but i was in 2.3.5 - 4.5.1A-1 SUN - 254_13 and my bootloader is locked.
my question is that can i flash the 2.3.4 - 4.5.1A-1 SUN - 198_7 anyway?
i'am looking for the SBF 2.3.5 - 4.5.1A-1 SUN - 254_13 but no results.

I think you can flash 198_7 via RSD Lite even with a locked bootloader. No harm in trying I suppose.... If it works, you will have a perfectly working device.

Exactly. The is only that sbf for mopho 2.3.5, flash it via Rsd lite and the flashing process should end in a error because the rom is actually made for electrify. After the error message, flash the unbrick sbf then do a factory reset. Your photon should be up and running. If you have any problems, I'll be happy to help.

Cruiser i learn somewhere here that someone loose his phone doing it and i think it can be a bad idea to flash the 198_7 sbf.
Da legend i try flashing the electrify sbf but when i reboot manually after "failed flashing process" in rsd lite i see this message in the phone "failed to boot 4 starting rsd mode".i restart flashing and now it stucks on motorola dualcore screen like before.i will try flashing the "2.3.5_45.4.13ota_unbrick.sbf" via rsd lite, wipe data as u said and see if i can have change.
