hi, i need to unlock my evo3d, so i ve been on two website, that both provided me the same code.
when i enter this code, i get the message that network is unlock (pop up message) and then the pad remain for me to enter the code again with the message "network lock".
Do you have any idea about what is happening? Can it be because of hboot or rom or else?
I ve tried 3 rom and same issue.
Hope somebody has an option, i need to use my phone :'(
thx for your help
i dont think we can play SIM on our 3VOs. I could be wrong though.

hi s3 owner here in the uk...simple question is i have the quad s3 on the t-mobile network...i cant believe that they havnt locked there phone...
there is no t-mobile start up screen or even t-mobile apps...is there a way to check if it is unlocked apart from trying different sim cards...ie like a code you enter...
sorry for the dumbness of my question....ohh and keep up the good work
Whr r u from?
Got mine from Vodafone, and its branded. Not locked.
Same in T-Mob case, they r just branded. Bootanimation etc is Samsung stock, u should just have some "T-Mob-Special-Apps" in your Appdrawer.
Im Using T-mob Germany Card in my VF-Phone, just choose your Networkprovider under Settings and everthing is fine

is that the right code getting connection problem or invalid mmi code
which firmware it has now?
Mine too (in AUstralia Voda), at first I was on stock firmware and network locked.
I swear I can execute that code, and I even unlock it using voda's official unlock code.
Now I am running CheckRom v3.5 based on BLFB and I get the invalid mmi code.
Someone said need to use stock dialer. But I thought my dialer is stock.

If there is a free site I beg for help
yes, at&t customer chat gives you the code for free.
Important to know that you need to be on the stock att Rom to unlock your devise. Simply entering your code into the dial pad on a non stock Rom like cm9 will not do anything but return an invalid mmi error. I should know my note is now permanently locked to att after 5 failed attempts and now Im waiting on a replacement to arrive. Meanwhile my note is now urooted and back to stock for about a week which is like chewing glass.

How would that happen? Someone would have to enter a different code in your phone, or you would have to flash stock rom with JTAG.
You call and ask

I just got another mega, this time I got a Att version. I spoke with a customer service rep. and got my unlocked code bcuz I purchased full price, I ask her about bloats ect ect. Ok this is what she told me, once I have unlocked my phone I have full control of my phone.. Hmmm really? I dont know if she knew what i was talking about.. then I ask about secure bootlock portion of the phone, she reply once your unlocked you could do what ever you want...:what:
I have the unlocked code, how would i unlock the darn thing? every phone is different ways to do it.
I want to know if its true or not that once unlocked we can do what ever including custom rom...

What I think you got from her was the network unlock code, all that does is allow you to move to another provider using the same phone.
So whats the difference between network unlock and phone unlock?

Network unlock is as above ^, the bootlock you mentioned in your first post is there to stop you removing their software, it's not something that you can change with a code. You need to remove the boot lock before you can replace the os with a custom one. Before you attempt to do anything like this I advise reading up on it, you don't want to brick another phone. The information is easily found by using google search.
Roger that..lol yeap I dont want to do that again..

I used the thread that guides you into using the different radio and dialing in some codes to unlock mine. It's here on xda all you have to do is search for it. Don't forget to flash your radio back after unlocking.

Because you are a newbie as I am here you go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2124544
Evening all,
I'm trying to unlock a friends SIII, which she been passed down. I believe it was on Orange and is still locked to them (don't know for sure), I've put my Lycamobile sim in and it comes up with sim network unlock PIN I was going to try the free method of typing in *#197328640# but all I get is an error saying not registered to a network.
I've tried using Kies and picked upgraded and initialisation, it did already say it was update but thought I would run it anyway but still no luck. Could anyone offer any advice. looks like its running 4.3.
Advice is go buy an unlock code, nothing else will work.

Ok thanks, I will have a look.
Which model number do you have? Unlock procedure ia different for Qualcomm and Samsung basebands, you can figure out which one you have from the model number.
