Proporta Leather Style Case - Sony Tablet S

I was looking for a reasonably priced case that I could quickly remove the tablet from and could act as a stand for watching videos on the plane/train.
This ticks most of the boxes. See pictures below:

Easy access to ports
Charging port is fully accessible
When in full profile stand the tablet doesn't rotate (as it is effectively upside down).
As you can see it is really easy to open the top and grab the tablet
Pros
- Decent price (£30 in the UK)
- All ports seem accessible (there is a whole for the the IR but I have not tested)
- Very easy to get the tablet in/out, probably about 5 seconds
- No need to use Velcro strips
- Magnetic closure
Cons
- A little bulky
- Can only use as a stand if in the low profile setting when set as a full stand it looks great but the tablet is effectively upside down and apps don't rotate.

Thanks for the review! I'm still waiting on a case I can use my dock with...

I recommend luvtab from amazon. Better i.e. not upside-down stand, cheaper, cutout for infrared larger, front camera cutout includes light sensor.

I've got a case from ebay -$15.99.

There is no hole for IR but if you have a scissors it is not a problem.
Other than that, pretty good. Protects the tab and works as a stand in 3 positions.

Arkon Tablet Stand - photos

I've been using the foldable Arkon tablet stand for a few days now and am very pleased with it.
Features:
holds the Gtab in both orientations without any problem - even in a case/cover
rubber feet prevent it from slilding around on smooth surfaces
rubber face on verticle post prevents the tablet from sliding around
two piece design of the upright allows for adjustment to nearly any viewing angle
(critically important for the Gtab considering the poor screen viewing angle in landscape mode)
inexpensive (around $13 from Amazon)
folds easily and compactly

I have this stand and it's terrific. Very secure, portable, adjustable. It's all good.
I don't have a case, but I have had an Arkon stand for about a month and absolutely love it. Very sturdy and allows you to plug it in without getting in the way. Will probably get another so I don't have to carry it to the office.
Just got the stand today. Definitely a must have.
Definitely +1 on the Arkon stand. Sturdy, flexible, nicely padded. I like how you can easily pick up the stand with the gTablet on it and move it around securely. I might also get a second stand for work.
@slsmag: The stand is great, but where'd you get that cover? It looks like it fits the gtab pretty well!

Desktop wireless charging dock

Well today I finished the first prototype of the dock I've been working on. Let me know what you think. I have to make a few more changes when I get time.
I forgot to include that it has an NFC tag to switch it to dock mode.

It looks a bit bulky. It seems more like a stand rather than a dock. Still better than a horizontal plate, though.
If you can get it to stay up without the back and side panels (just the base and slanted part) and also slim the panels down by half that thickness or thinner if possible it would look kooler. Also try painting it

I made one out of vinyl about a month ago but wasn't that big of a fan. I am going for more of an executive look this time around.
I think it looks very nice. All the parts look like the fit together very well.
Do you have the Nokia DT-900 inside it? I've been contemplating trying to build something w/ my DT-900 inside - don't know if I want horizontal or vertical.
Yup, I may disassemble one in the future to save some space.

Supported portrait position
Supported landscape position (back)
The case closed
The case opened
The case fits 100%, but it may be a bit tight if you don't remove the back protector on the tablet.
It supports on-off mode (turns on the screen when opened and it turns off the screen when closed).
The only thing I am not happy is there's no anti-slip corners.
Hi, I just ordered one and I'm interested in the magnets in the cover.
Some reviewers say that they aren't very secure and if the case is faced down the screen cover just drops.
I heard the case is a bit on the heavy side, but it seems pretty well made, I'm hoping the weight isn't that noticeable
Also, is the MicroSD slot covered?
Thanks, the information would be appreciated.

Maybe its me but it seems the magnets don't agree with phone at all , plays havoc with screen unlocks when attached to it and all sorts.
Would the magnetic in the mount interfere/degrade the phone's battery?
I have a similar mount. If the magnet gets too close to the power/volume buttons it puts the screen to sleep. There must be a sensor there for a smart cover.
Not sure about effect on battery. I'm considering switching away from the magnetic holders, simply because I hate having to hide a piece of metal under the case, and thusly can't use my clear Ringke Fusion case.

The magnet sensor of the N6 is behind the M-logo. A magnet at that location (front or back) swithes off the screen.
My solution is to use silicon case and a metal plate fixed at this case with superglue. Positioned below the M-logo. About 1 cm.
Check it by keeping the magnet below the M-logo untill the screen stays on.
Because the back of the N6 is not flat, the metal plate must be rather large and firmly fixed (pressure a few hours).
This way of mounting does not affect the battery life, but when using wireless charging, the case with the metal must be removed.
That's why I use a silicon case. Easy to remove.

Any good travel cases out there?

Im looking for a travel case/pouch/bag that fits the Tab S4 with Keyboard Cover and S-Pen attached. All I can find are Ipad-cases that are 4:3 format, and I want a snug 16:10 format case in this typical design:

Any recommendations? Dont want a case with 4 cm to spare on the sides of the tablet haha.

Looking for the same thing. Have tried a number of sleeve cases but everything is too small or too big. Yet to find the perfect one.
I think this one may fit well. May still have some wiggle but would think it should be pretty close to size of the Tab.. I actually have a larger one that I use for my Surface Pro 5 and tried it with my Tab. It definitely has room to spare but the tab doesn't move much. On both of these, the interior has a fleece lining that should keep the Tab from sliding too much while inside. I would

Cultofmac posted a great review on the best cases, I personally like one from Logitech, I will atach a pic above the post. Different travel blogs offer very nice reviews on the latest models, I would try to seek one using Google search by pictures.

I'd love one like the pic. Do you have a link?
hello, I think the 4:3 iPad covers are a very convenient model, but I have a different-sized iPad. The last time I bought a business flight ticket to Kwajalein this case fit well with my design and the trip as a whole. It is desirable that the cover is loosely held, thanks to which the tablet will be stored longer
